I hope that Druid flightform will get a walking animation one day. I know the Zandalari one does, but the other ones don't.
That'd be bit of a nuisance switching between modes... I typically used dragon flighting for longer distances, and regular flight within questing areas to hop from target to target quickly.
A solution to this would be enabling and disabling “normal” and dragon riding for every mount specifically or to add an option to apply to all for the people who love mount roulette. Alternatively they could just make it an instant cast ability. I’m not sure why it needs to be 5 second

That cast I am sure It is due the response of the api call 😂
And they deffo have the mechanic. The shadow priest is bugged and when you swap out shadow form the dragonflying is replaced with regular flying. But to reset this you need to dismount and mount again
All I'm hearing is that finally I'll be able to get cool shots of my Evoker gliding over places.
I can never go back from dragonriding, it's just too damn fast.

Permanent Visage form should be the only update we hear about.
Mr GM please tell blizzard to allow us to change individual mounts to normal flying and others to dragon riding so we can switch more easily. This is such a non user friendly method. I like to use my Druid flight form as not dragon riding to fly around a local spot to look for items and gathering stuff. And then use dragon riding for long distance. It just makes sense.
Wish they would allow demon hunters to fly like that.
Blizzard needs to give us muscular dracthyr character bodies like the guards in Valdrakken.
But those are Draconids, not Dracthyr

Its not 5 seconds to start flying but a one time use to switch between the old TBC flying and the new skyriding. Its only for those who like the old flying better.
@@Vearz08 except a druid might want to have sky riding on mounts and normal flying for flight form since its convenient to not have to deal with switching back and forth, which will prob be quite often between them.
thats not to say that sky riding as a birb isnt also useful, just different scenarios where they are most effective.

This had to happen. Especially since you could dragon ride anywhere in Azeroth now, if they hadn't added this, LITERALLY all mounts would become completely useless and obsolete.
They've already kind of made mounts a joke... they used to be really cool things to have, or like symbolizing a grind or achievement. And some still are but they have oversaturated the mount pool... they literally just added like 40+ mounts for Remix?! Lmao
And the world boss mounts which used to be really cool when you saw someone on one. Are now like 2 hrs worth of grinding bronze casually to attain... 😑

The best update to Dracthyr would be opening up other classes for them.

That's going to be jarring to play as given I've been a Drakyr main since returning to WoW. Even though I unlocked the TBC flying pretty quickly (seriously, thank you Blizz for making it far less painful than previous Pathfinders) I just kinda stuck with my regular Dracthyr's ability.

Thought for you- With the Vial Of Sands 2 person Mount, or even the Rocket 2 Seat Mount- With the "skyriding", and having the perk to add a person to a mount (like tiny dragon), will they become a "3" seat mount? o.O
No. That is only for the customizable dragons from dragonflight.

"Amazing updates" implies there is more than one and that the update in question isn't just... an optional downgrade.
You won't be able to sky ride with all mounts blizzard already confirmed this.

My Evoker can already fly in DF like a DR mount with Soar. It's literally the same as dragon riding, except Soar has a 10 sec CD.

Only way to make dragon sky riding better is to get rid of the charges you consume when you’re flying.. have the spin ability have a CD and maybe have the regular dash a 3-5s cd. Make it so you can leap up and take off and you’re zooming!! I don’t see a need for the charges anymore. Fully max I never run out of them.

No ground mounts will be affected. Druid stag/doe or cheetah forms and worgen running will not be affected.

Honestly i don't like this double style flying.
I love that i can use dragon riding with one button but then "oh no i missed my spot" happens, use a regular flying mount to get to the place sure sounds more like a me problem, but its just nice to have both at the same time without having them to swap between

The updates they should do the dracthyr is make them more muscular to something like the drakanoid(sorry i cant spell it right), make it where we can change the visage form to most races(not saying to change the race but your "disguise" maybe set it as a glyph to set to race("disguise")), and make it where the armor can be seen on the dragon form because they have some badass sets just sucks to only see the shoulder armor and belts...
For the Visage, you can have something like Glyph of the Human, Orc, Tauren, Nelf, etc allowing you to change your visage form into another disguise. After all, you see all these other dragons having visages of all these races, but you get another semi-elf..ngl I don't mean hate to the elf players out there, but man am I tired of elves everywheeeere lol
If visage of vulprea and a dark iron and kul trin I set. Mostly only vulprea just annoy friend my change my visage otherwise. Yeah give us all races as visage form sh make quest line with NPC that then change like other race. Plus rp community be awesome be away play goblin in stromwind or vulprea for those people. Or just tauren visiting stromwind on diplomat mission or trade
Now if only they could have more robust models to choose and new class options.

@@Kryptic712 you mean the old "Plainsrunning" ability?:That was originally what the Tauren had in Vanilla but some in the player base cried about it, so Kodos were introduced after and Tauren lost their Plainsrunning ability, I was so pissed off back in the day when they did that, offer the Kodos but leave the ability intact. Anyways just more "great" decisions from Blizzard team 🤦🏾♂️🤣🤣🤣✌🏾

First off, it's not "sky riding" is called "Dynamic Flight" Second, not all mounts can, not even all flying mounts can. Only some (most) can use dynamic flight.

its the normal flying option for them. they can static fly/ hover/ afk in the sky.
They can already fly like mounts....
