If you want some real heaviness, react to the song "Devil & The Deep Dark Ocean" from Buenos Aires 2018. The whole Band goes berzerk on this performance :D
I absolutely agree with you. I'm pretty sure the reason why many, myself included, like the acoustic version of "How's the Heart" over the album version is because Floor sounds so much better live. Plus their special effects and their stage presence as a whole just adds to everything. Need that added before it's a fair comparison.
All songs are where they belong. I will not change anything. The albums are always masterpieces to be heard in said format. The music arrangements they do for the albums us to exploit and explore the capacity of all sound variations and create a beautiful masterpieces. Then we have the live presentations, where all songs are rearrange for the specific live sound of their instruments. And their live energy is just overwhelming. I'm really looking forward for the songs of the new album to be played live, as they exploit their live potential fully. A lot of their songs from past albums sound a different live because of that, and that's the main reason most of the recommendations are always from their lives. Also because Floor wasn't in the originals so it might be strange to listen to one of their studio albums and then compare to their lives. But since she is the present sound so it's the way to listen to their, let's say, remasterized sound. I'm not getting into a debate of who is better. I personally prefer her voice and personality and what she has brought to the band.
Gotta love Floor growling 😈 I think you’ll like Ghost River from Waken & Devil and the Deep Dark Oceans and Slaying the Dreamer from Buenos Aires 😉 About the new album, just wait until they’re done live. Nightwish has so many genres and I can’t choose a favorite so I don’t know what I’d change.
Floor's windmills alone make the songs better, thinking about all the other elements they bring when they perform , live versions are just unbeatable. Sooo entertaining to watch; I even watch people who watch Nightwish and share their joy. Crazy, crazy me. And I gotta add; I wish they always "film the entire show to immortalize" those special moments...
These live songs also sound so much different on the album, they are really a band you should see live, and i think the new album songs will sound so much more spectacular live, so i can not make a choice, but Tribal and Shoemaker or Pan will knock your socks of live i guess
You're absolutely right; we have to wait for the first live performances to make any comparism. Knowing they are live on the TOP TOP Level I can't wait to see and hear the new album played on stage. I already know it will be stellar and Hoopsick you might change your opinion :-)
I can`t wait to see new songs live. And after that I`d decide, which songs I prefer live. It`s difficult to compare live shows with studio records. Especially when it comes to Nightwish
Nightwish seems to set a standard with their album recordings -- a high standard for sure. Then, when it's time to take things live, they say, "Okay, now we're going to blow that standard away."
I love when Floor growls and this is one of my favorite songs. As for your question it is hard to answer because Nightwish always changes things when they play live... and they are freaking awesome live. I have at least 30 songs on just my favorite playlist of Nightwish, but from the new album I love Tribal, Noise and Harvest... so I would put one of those on my list...
3 words: Master Passion Greed. It's their heaviest so far, it's basically a diss track about their first singer's (Tarja's) husband. They go full on Thrash/Metalcore on that one. PS: it doesn't have a live performance as it is a diss track and they've moved on since.
@@itsnaxis349 yes of course, I rushed to Spotify the moment the album was out. But MPG is heavier for me, especially the "Take Her, Seduce Her" part, towards the end. Tribal has some sick riffs though
Regarding live - we won’t know until they are actually able to perform them - but I am sure Tribal and Pan will be insane live. As a reference point, this song - Your’s is an Empty Hope, was one of the least popular on the EFMB album, but absolutely kills live. I expect the same to happen again this time around. They are known to amp up the energy/heaviness and strip out some of the more symphonic elements live. Gives the songs a different energy specific to a live show environment. And Floor has always been known as a good studio performer, but a once in a lifetime live performer. She simply destroys all comers when you throw her on that stage. True in her prior bands as well, which you should check out (After Forever, ReVamp) 🤘🤘
i wouldnt take one out no, but i am sure that some of the new album will be amazing live (tribal, pan, endlessness, noise) ...Nightwish is a live band always have been i think. btw i love Floors growls on this song :-)
My favorite performance of my favorite Nightwish song. So seamless and propulsive. Definitely do Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean and Slaying the Dreamer from Buenos Aires. Also I want my tears back, Buenos Aires...to see Floor go a little crazy (dancing) on stage. Great stuff.
hey man give a look to Slaying the dreamer And if you like some heavy stuff check it out to Epica Sancta Terra (feat Floor Jansen) and Epica Consign to Oblivion live at Zenith
Shudder before the beautiful, 7 days to the wolves, The poet & the pendulum - live at Wembley ( and for Marko and Troy - While your lips are still red @ Wembley). Slaying the dreamer, Devil and the deep dark ocean plus Dead Boy's Poem - Live in Buenos Aires.
A Nightwish concert is a full experience. We have the heaviness, the soft ones, the folk/Celtic ones. It’s unbelievable to be there. The setlist is always so great and you have no idea how many others amazing songs and emotions they can bring to a live concert. 😎🤘🏼
Nightwish is best served live with all the rawness that studio versions don't have. That's not a bad thing because touring is more important than ever before for artists.
Nightwish has been my favorite band since their Oceanborn album, and Human Nature is my favorite album of theirs. I learn a long time ago to just go on the ride they want me to go on. I think after you listen to more Nightwish, you will appreciate Human Nature more. But as everyone says, they don't have a bad song. Creek Marys Blood is a banger of a song and not many people ever talk about it.
This one blew you away 😁...it's my favourite from their previous album. I still can't "get into" most of the songs on their new album, but I can't wait to see how they're gonna sound live! Live they are mostly on a whole new level.

How's the Heart?
Shoemaker won't be played live, as far as Tuomas is concerned. I don't think the shows will last 3 hours, Floor is amazing but the new songs are extremely difficult and demanding to sing, even her can't be singing on a world tour with 3 hours gigs and be perfect in all songs. Tuomas and the rest of the band are going to face the same old problem: wich songs they are going to play live. My guess is they said bye bye to the older songs in the Decades tour (that was the point, playing those oldies for the last time as a gift to the fans) and from now on they are going to focus on the new material + some classics (Nemo, GLS, Amaranth...).
@@Fidel_L.Bousquet1970 Don't you think the live show would allso be set up around the themes of Human. :ll: Nature.? I'm expecting to hear some older stuff that fits those themes. I want to see at least Planet Hell and Phantom of the Opera back on the setlist😎
Love this! One of my favorites too! You definitely have to check out Shudder Before the Beautiful live @ Wembley! I like the live shows with Floor over new album songs too. Though I do really like the new album. Still so much more to rock out to live! 🔥🤙
If you like heavy stuff you HAVE to react to Shudder Before The Beautiful live at Wembley Arena (same show) and Devil & The Deep Dark Ocean + Slaying The Dreamer live in Buenos Aires ;)
For more hard-heavy-n-angry: Weak Fantasy, from any of the live shows in the last few years, and/or Master Passion Greed from the 2007 album (which you won’t find live but is still so worth the listen).
Smart and intelligent way to ask a question - whether the newest album is same great as previous. And does it match the greatness level Nightwish already has... Well - i think yes. I would definitely love to see a show with the songs from new album even if they replace some of the brilliant tracks from the previous. But... Not for the reason they are better. But because the band get joy from doing different things on stage. When you have such a brilliant discography that Nightwish has its really almost impossible to outshine the song-list you play. So what the band did - is a step aside. Not a step further, not a step back. I like the new album but it doesnt contain such powerful hits as you mentioned. But overall it feels very good as a concept record. And several tracks from this concept record will surely get a bombastic live version for sure.
I would not know since they did not performed them live. It will be so much better. And you can not replace good songs... so... i would say lets wait, but Noise, Harvest, music, Hows the heart... they will all do well live.
I think the fact they play songs from decades of work & growth translates into awesome live performances. Not all songs off each album are in their live repertoire, so if only a couple make it to the status of these ones live, then it’s a success. I suspect some of the new ones will be incredible live. I do think they need a 3 hour show to both showcase new & keep fans happy with classics. I do not want to replace just add add add more more more LOL
This is a favorite song of mine. And Floor growling is just awesome. I think some of the new songs will sound great live. Tribal will sound amazing... more Floor growling. Pan and How’s The Heart will sound good too.
Can´t wait till you hear "I want my tears back" buenos aires 2018, this song is more like folk metal, but verry uplifting and catchy. Something different but worth it!
"Shudder before the Beautiful" Live at Wembley.. If you listen to the six you've done as studio version, you'll realize the studio does them no justice.. When I listen to a studio version of their new songs, I end up sitting there imagining what they will do at this part on stage..
If you want a truly epic live experience, I absolutely love The Greatest Show on Earth from Wembley. Definitely long but well worth it as it shows off their incredible range in one song and the live show does not disappoint.
I would not take any out, just adding more ;) like "i want my tears back" live in buenos aires 2018, this song have the power of when im in a grey mood, turn it in a rainbow mood with big smile.
Nightwish is best served live. When the new album makes it into the set list, the live versions will blow the studio stuff out of the water. It's just some sort of alchemy they have together when they're on a stage that they can't seem to quite get when they're in studio.
Wembley opener "Shudder Before the Beautiful" is the way you open a show. In your list of songs to do that one is great. It opened their last album and opened the tour. The song is the shit, great harmonizing on that as well. Anyway, good stuff brother!
I also wouldn't replace any of the songs, even after having listened to them for years already. And i also don't think a live performance of the new songs would change that.
to understand nightwish human nature. you need to experience Endless forms most beautiful. Nightwish - The Greatest Show On Earth Live - (Legendado PT/Br)
I’m so glad to see you enjoyed this song. It is one of my favorites. I discovered Nightwish last year after Floor appeared on Best Zangers in the Netherlands. I instantly fell in love with the band and got hooked immediately. I never listened to their previous albums, only to their live performances with Floor. I love their new album and can’t wait to see it performed live. For another heavier song I recommend Shudder Before The Beautiful, live at Wembley. Keep on riding the Nightwish train! 💕🤘 ruclips.net/video/7oQ8sNSYXmQ/видео.html
I would not replace any of these i think but until i hear the new songs live its not really a fair comparison. If u look at the studioalbums of old there is not many songs there u would replace any of these songs with either i would guess. Also these 6 songs i would probably keep in most situations anyway. I do think that Noise and Pan especially will be good live Also Tribal even tho its a bit short imo. Either way it will be interesting to see which songs from the new album they will use in their live shows.
Yeah you have to remember that nightwish does live performance very diffrence then album versions. Its almost like they make a album just to get the quidance from it to there live performances. Almost as the album is version 1 and when they make a album tour they will evolve the it so at the end of the tour the album is compleate
It would be hard to say, because frankly some of these live performances are so different from their album version. It is one of the only bands I think that are way better live than on the albums. So we will first need to see the new album performed live before we can make that judgement 😉
Its a difficult question to answer, because we haven't heard any new songs live (obviously), so the way I went around this question was comparing the songs on their studio albums and to figure out what I preferred and how I would imagine the new songs would sound like live, and I think that I would replace "Story time" with Tribal, I can just imagine Kai going to town on those Drums, but if you ask me tomorrow I want to replace another song for Pan, and that's the thing about Nightwish what songs I love change depending on my mood, but right now I have a thing for Tribal & Pan. I you want to see another side of Nightwish, its not as heavy but still amazing I would suggest I want my tears back from either Wachen or Buone Aires 2018. I think that Tribal somehow will have some elements of that song live (Kinda hard to explain why :) )
You can’t answer that question until you hear the new songs performed live. If you listened to the studio versions of the songs you have heard live, you might end up listing some of the newer songs higher. It’s comparing apples to oranges until you listen to them all in the same atmosphere. This is a question to be asked later down the road.
Tuomas knew what he was doing when he called Floor to fill in mid-tour. He knew exactly who he called.

You have so many great songs to enjoy and react to. They dont put out new albums too often so it's hard to name even a mediocre song. I've noticed though that I like different songs depending on my mood ofthe day
I would only switch Ghost Love Score since they play it in every show. There also are some other songs in their usual setlist that I would switch with their new songs though. Next maybe The Devil And The Deep Dark Ocean (Buenos Aires 2018)
i do think it is time for "The Greatest Show On Earth - live from Tampere :) That is one of the greatest masterpieces i have ever heard, and you are definitely not gonna be disappointed
Great reaction. To see Floor really growl you should listen to her previous metal heavy band Revamp the song Disdain from graspop (2010) i am sure you will love it. And with respect to the comparison New album and these old songs. Just wait till they have played the new album songs live. That's the magic of Nightwish LIVE
You have listened to only 6 songs. Nightwish can make a setlist for 4-5 concert with different songs and all beautiful like the other six. you don't know anything yet ;-)
Good question -I can only answers your question with a question. I like your reactions to Nightwish but your new to Nightwish, I have listened to Nightwish for over 20 years and 1-my favorite Nightwish song is always the last one I’ve listened to. 2-anytime a new album is released every veteran Nightwish fan knows it’s going to be great, new and different but all of us are saying to ourselves can’t wait to hear this live, it’s going to be epic. So my question to you is listen to any of the 6 Nightwish songs you’ve heard live, listen to the album version. Then ask yourself which one would you like over the live version? Great job!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
To continue with Wembley.. Shudder Before the Beautiful, 7 days to the Wolves, **The Poet and the Pendulum (Read the back story First) And watch it with Lyrics, also pause multiple times for copy right issues with this one. (This is a special one to the band and fans)**.
Well I think we have to wait before we can say that because I want to know how the songs are in al live peformance.. its not fair to compare a albumversion to a live version😉 when we hear them live I can tell you what I feel. Because I think that Tribel Live is sooooo good then I will putt that song over Ghost River.. but first I realy have to hear it live💋
Yes I would , but you have to understand, a lot of us are on a whole different part of the nightwish journey than you, I've been a fan since I was a teenager, I'm 32 now! I've seen them many times and am requiring fresh blood to sink my teeth into! All Nightwish is so much more effective live as it shows all the elements in full light! A lot of their music is much more heavier live also and clearer with the atmosphere they want to create! If you hear the studio albums also you would see that live, it's so much more heavier and powerful! 🤘 Also wanted to mention, I feel you listening to the new album is such a leap to all the classics you've reacted to live, I think listening to songs like The Greatest show on Earth and The poet and the Pendulum will bridge the gap you have probably felt reacting to the new stuff 😊
They are one of the few bands that always are better live than the album. The music is epic and made to perform live. Also sounds heavier. I think once we see some of the new songs live we will love them just as much. Think Tribal will be crazy live.
I agree with checking out Floor Jansen with After Forever and ReVamp. I highly suggest After Forever- “Dreamflight” at ProgPowert USA 2007. Phenomenal performance and amazing song. Also, the new album is incredible. I think “Pan,” “Tribal,” and “Music” will be incredible live. That new album must be listened to in order, and over several listens to be fully appreciated.
Yes, you said something I already commented. The last album is very good, all songs are great, but only Noise would get into my Nightwish 15 favourite songs... And really, man, I see that you specially like the heaviest songs by Nightwish, so you SHOULD do EPICA. But please start with "Consign to Oblivion" and only then go to "Sancta Terra"... Greetings from Spain and stay safe and metal...

"r u rdy for smth more heavy ?" try this : ReVamp - Disdain Live at Graspop (2010)
oh ves😙
Great reaction. You've done enough Nightwish songs.to be a Lt. Colonel in the Nightwish Army.
Arrrrmy training Sir!
Subscribed and dinged. 🤘😛🤘
This is a favorite song of mine. And Floor growling is just awesome. I think some of the new songs will sound great live. Tribal will sound amazing... more Floor growling. Pan and How’s The Heart will sound good too.
If you hear....to Floor more heavy....check ....Revamp......live......enjoy....saludos from Chile......
If you cry....xheck......Tv duch...call..beste zangers.......and enjoy the best ...the most beautiful ...cover ever...of Floor......
Can´t wait till you hear "I want my tears back" buenos aires 2018, this song is more like folk metal, but verry uplifting and catchy. Something different but worth it!
Oh yeah... She growls baby... She indeed does😅❤️❤️😁😁😁❤️
"Shudder before the Beautiful" Live at Wembley..
Their all awesome 😎
I recommended also Weak Fantasy from Tampare :)
I’d switch She’s my sin for Pan or Tribal
I also wouldn't replace any of the songs, even after having listened to them for years already.
And i also don't think a live performance of the new songs would change that.
React to The greatest show on earth from Nightwish
to understand nightwish human nature. you need to experience Endless forms most beautiful.
Master Passion Greed next?
Yeah you have to remember that nightwish does live performance very diffrence then album versions. Its almost like they make a album just to get the quidance from it to there live performances. Almost as the album is version 1 and when they make a album tour they will evolve the it so at the end of the tour the album is compleate
It would be hard to say, because frankly some of these live performances are so different from their album version. It is one of the only bands I think that are way better live than on the albums. So we will first need to see the new album performed live before we can make that judgement 😉
Tribal and Pan will be amazing live 🤘🏻I’m glad you liked this one 😌 Great reaction!
7 days to the wolves, live at Wembley ! It is perfect.
i do think it is time for "The Greatest Show On Earth - live from Tampere :) That is one of the greatest masterpieces i have ever heard, and you are definitely not gonna be disappointed
Also if you want to hear one of the most heaviest song of Nightwish, try Master Passion Greed. Marco is singing that song fully. 🤘😉
She did that.
Jumpin around my room like a crazy person! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......😈🔥👿😈🔥👿💋💕😈🔥👿!!!
Also wanted to mention, I feel you listening to the new album is such a leap to all the classics you've reacted to live, I think listening to songs like The Greatest show on Earth and The poet and the Pendulum will bridge the gap you have probably felt reacting to the new stuff 😊
They are one of the few bands that always are better live than the album. The music is epic and made to perform live. Also sounds heavier. I think once we see some of the new songs live we will love them just as much. Think Tribal will be crazy live.
The point is Nightwish are a live band. I really do like studio material but when they step out on stage they are a different animal. Great reaction.
Floor Growls are the best 🔥🤪
great reaction ! you should check (devil and the deep dark ocean) and (slaying the dreamer) from the decades tour for heavy stuff
If you were to listen to the studio versions of the 6 songs you like live you would be super excited to hear the new album live.
I think you'll enjoy "Last Ride of the Day" from Wacken, or "10th Man Down" live from Buenos Aires :)
I would take all out and replace with new ones. Just because I've seen old ones live so many times. It's time to move forward.
You must listen to" The greatest show on earth" live with them 🙏
Totally agree with a comment below. Master Passion Greed.
I know, Right!?!?! ROCK ON!!!
Floor growls yeeeesssss !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was surprised floor can growl, insane.... another proof shes the most talented vocalist on earth.
