I think one of the problems with the upcoming Harry Potter tv series is pretty much everything from the first two books was covered in the movies; the same to an extent with the third movie because even though there were things that should have been left in they would have likely only made the movie longer by about ten minutes.
Plus I agree that the book of Order of the Phoenix is too long and the movie did a great job of trimming it down; if they get to that season I think the season would end up suffering from the same problems the book had.
I haven’t read all the books, so I can’t rank them. But, I have seen all the movies.

When you take into account when the Half-Blood Prince movie came out, it was in the age of Twilight and teen romance so they probably thought that was what people wanted more than the important backstory stuff and drama the book as to offer.

14:04-14:20 same here as I’m a guy who likes to take things in with visuals. It might skew my rating on some movies in general but viewing things visually of picturing things from listening to an audiobook I find easier to take in than reading

Love Harry Potter but doing the ranking for me would be so hard! I just love the story and the world so much! Haven't read Cursed Child and don't really like Fantastic Beasts movies.
Cursed child ain’t worth reading
Personally I think the romance stuff worked in the Goblet of Fire movie cause it wasn’t focused on a lot and I thought it was funny. It was just a little side plot. Most of the film focused on the challenges which I really enjoyed. It’s one of my favourite Harry Potter films but fair enough if its not one of yours.

In my opinion, the Harry Potter franchise is very overrated and just average commerical movies
pandering to the masses. They're not true art, unlike TLOTR.
