It makes his reaction have more weight, as he doesn't really seem bothered, but records it to show that everyone else is gone. And the way the Spy Anomaly waits until Engi turns to look at it fully, and then Sniper picking it up, God it's so good! Amazing job as always, and keep being awesome! :D
It always was found footage. The difference is that the previous videos were found footage of TF2 gameplay. And in my opinion, it made it feel a lot more 'real...' like, it gets you following along and synchronized with the player's perspective, since it starts out like TF2 as you know and love it... so by the time the weirdness starts setting in you're already so immersed that it hits a lot closer to home

And many of them are connected, these footages with actual movements of characters are called "DEMOS type 5" these are generated or recorded from the past gameplays and some are very special like the one we saw.
Your 'tf2 anomalies' series kicks ass. A large part of its appeal is its framing. Video game creepypastas from the perspective of a player are not unheard of, but setting the story in a _multiplayer_ game as normal gameplay & interactions begin to spiral into horror makes it very easy for players of the game to get immersed right off the bat and then be brought to the edge of their seat once the weirdness starts, because by that point their disbelief is firmly suspended as they've already subconsciously placed theirselves in the POV-player's shoes to some degree. This installment of the series doesn't really capture that...

This VHS tape was found in the one of the maps basement, and was named tf2_anomaly_steel_foundfootage. The tape was found by Mr. Red Heavy. The whole map was searched, but none of anomalies were found. All the players were disconected from the map. It is highly recommended to leave the game if you see any type of anomaly, then, you should call "The Cleaning team". Mr. Red Engineer was found on 2Fort's closed area, he was alive. Mr. Red Engineer said:"That goddamn Spy-thing dragged me 8 hours, Thing was slow as rib's healing." After we found Mr. Red Engineer, we closed all the servers of TF2 for a week. Searching was useless, none of anomalies were found, only corpses of Mr. Blue Sniper, Mr. Blue Engineer and Mr. Blue Soldier. We found more tapes, that showed deaths of Blu and Red team.
Some cool things I noticed while using the greater than less than keys: - A BLU sniper is shown standing at the window at 0:18 - The deformed spy is shown entering the room behind Engi at 0:29 - At 0:40 the BLU sniper briefly reappears in the window on the left
I couldn’t comment on this earlier because of RUclips giving me a Comment pause. But Now I can say this: This is The Horrors of TF2, CTF, and in this episode, we get to see the face of the Poor Engineer as he is takes by the Anomalous Spy. I guess in Horrors of TF2, CTF, the cameraman is not safe. Also, how come this takes place in a Non CTF map? The answer: the Anomalies take their victims to CTF maps, especially 2Fort.
whats most interesting to me is the blue sniper is always completely normal from the looks of it. the rest of the mercs are all deformed in one way or another. it makes me think that hes the real anomaly, and everything else is just caused by him
this had such similar shooting to the Limmy frosty jacks bit that I expected engie to pull out a can and go manically laughing his ass off and start chasing the spies
I feel like theres no multiple anomalies and theres just one which is this sniper, he “disguises” himself as other classes from his team color and they end up looking more disturbing and monstrous then he himself is, just a thought.
Fun fact while engi has the camera pointed at him at around 14 seconds in, we can see a spy standing there and then when he disappears behind the engineer, we can see a very long hand at the right part of the doorway

I think it's very fitting that Spy is the one creeping up behind Engineer and killing from behind, as that's quite literally what he does in game.
This makes me want a series of Engie just exploring empty Source maps with a handheld camera
