As a Man I can totally relate, have not heard this in a long time; before my divorce,I did get over her, eventually; caused me drink. That's life.
I was lucky to see this great man at a 1968 blues festival true king of the blues god bless him
I'M ENVIOUS
Saw him only once on a bill with Willie Dixon and John Hammond Jr. Are we maybe the luckiest guys on the planet? : )
I was born 1968, I'm 53 and I love this. Great music.

John is a living national treasure. There is no other at this level. He is the only John Lee Hooker. A great bluesman, bar none. I love his baritone voice...great range, timing, intonation, and delivery. He is so understated it's amazing. You listen to him again and pick something up that you missed many times before.
Unfortunately, John Lee is no longer with us, in body. Certainly, his spirit lives on and on, and his music never gets old. John Lee's unique blues style will last a long, long time. 😊
John dead ...
I met him... I meet all kinds of notable folk... He's the best one
True ... But job. Dead...
"Legend" is not enough to describe him.
@@Xandermallstill not enough. Xd. Just kidding.
@@Elias_Cepeda Why not god? JLH has more followers and for better reasons!
"...being a bitch ain´t one..."
I love listening to this song both performed by John Lee Hooker and George Thorogood! Both of them are awesome artists!
This video makes the song both larger than life and part of it at the same time. A song for the ages; all ages. Everyone participating with John Lee sitting at the center of his story, singing what’s on everyone’s mind, having a good time. I heard George Thorogood sing it on the radio today
Thank you so much for your music Johnny. You'll never be forgotten...
His voice is velvet.
We Miss you so much in this crazy World gone but never forgotten a true ICON
There is alone One Johnny Lee Hooker.

1978, O'Hara's showclub in Vancouver, with Canned Heat, awesome show, my sadly departed wife kissed him on the cheek as he was leaving the stage, also Bob Hite was an absolute gentleman, got his harmonica.
Omg u saw canned heat!
Absolute Legend
May your music resonate in heaven. Thx! Best blues man hooker! Rest in peace.
One hell,,one night,,,one whisky one night,,, one Sky one Hell,,, music for our feeling,,, wha a hekkk !
Thank the Blue Brothers for why I am here!
I absolutely love this music...
One of the many legends of music I grew up listening to.
John Lee Hooker shows George Thorogood how to play this 1953 rhythm-and-blues/jump blues song (first recorded June 6, 1953 by Amos Milburn) by the prolific Rudolph "Rudy" Toombs (murdered in Harlem by robbers Nov. 28, 1962, aged 48)...
As good as Thorogood's version is, this is off the charts.
I love that line.
In my younger stoned days.
I always stated I wanted one bourbon, one scotch and one beer.
Gotta bring it back!
listening to John Lee always makes me smile.
Pure spirit of blues
The blues master , Mr. Blues ever!
2024 La base du rock, funk etc.

One of the ultimate legends . I feel humbled and honored.
Oh yeah
I love you Johny 💘 gives me the feeling I need always 💝💝 best blues ever forever
First time hearing this. This is why I'm a huge fan of the old school rhythm and blues.
Yeah got to jam one night. Got to play with Mr Hooker. We were at his club the boom boom room, on Gary Street right across from the Fillmore. God bless Mr Hooker
Such style , a great great man .
Just feel the blues..
Respect sir lee hooker and rest in supreme power ✌🏿🙏🏿🔥
Rihanna perhaps heard of him....
Z. Leander
Absinth legal meanwhile again...
🙏👍🙏👍
Music should not know racism of any kind, music is from the soul and heart.
Wtf are you talking about
Well that was pretty random and unnecessary.🤷 Why would anyone be listening to this and have racism on their mind?
Still love this, I remember a lot of the older gentlemen I met through my years on the job. I heard some stories for sure. This man is a treasure.
Sublime blues gracias Lee.
Purple People Eater, Hurricane, Absinth
And what about the tie....?❤
Legend...
So smooth
I was at the Rainbow tavern in Seattle's U-district in 1978. John Lee was there on a Tuesday night. At intermission he sat at the bar. I sat down next to him, asked him if I could buy him a drink. I had 3 drinks with him at that 🍻
J'adore le blues, et je viens de découvrir monsieur Lee sublime, j adore ♥ 👍😍
Such a great artiste!
💙John is The Blues🔥
Love the unpredictability of his phrasing....i.e. the nine and a half measure intro. He came in when he was good and ready, and the band better be paying attention. Watch he and Bobbie Raitt live. She smiles at that unpredictability. ;)
Lol
He even had the best socks!!!!!
Breakfast of CHAMPIONS 🤗
Best song ever and best songwriter in the world
It is not His song .Original title is "One scotch, one bourbon, one beer"from 1953.Johnny recorded it latter, with some changes.

Happy Heavenly 107th Birthday John Lee Hooker August 22 1917 - June 21 2001
the real music 1111
...last call for alcohol. What do You want Johhny??...
legendary
He has such a magical ability to take a very simple line and keep it totally unpredictable.
By the way, I see this kid in the video messing around with the same guitar. I assume that’s either a guitar prop just for this video-probably to match the chair-or a completely different guitar, because no way he’s messing around with John Lee Hooker’s guitar!
"take a very simple line and keep it totally unpredictable."
