You cant really say its not a tourist developed city since everything is close down due to semi lockdown and you didnt even visit one of them. Jakarta is fair for tourism since most tourist choose jakarta as the transit destination.
pondok indah is area one the most expensive in jakarta.. there are many luxury home .big mall pondok indah 1.2.and 3. pondak indah hospital . and jakarta international school..

Pondok Indah yang paling banyak rumah elit nya dan paling luas. Tp the most expensive one itu tetep Menteng atau Kebayoran Baru. Cuman kalau di Menteng dan Kebayoran Baru, susah membedakan mana yang rumah dinas, rumah milik Kedutaan Besar, atau rumah pribadi. Kalau di Pondok Indah mungkin hampir 100% rumah pribadi...

Believe it or not, to show how big Jakarta is, every part of Jakarta has different cultures and stigma, like the place you stay, South Jakarta has the stigma that South is the Upper level of Jakarta, most expensive, cool boys and girls, many people from the government live there..and then North Jakarta, doesn't mean to be Racist, but mostly Indonesian Chinese lives there, that's why you can find some place like PIK, or Kelapa Gading, or Mangga Dua and Glodok, where you can find Chinese Food easily...then Center Jakarta, you can call it as a Business District, a lot of Buildings, from modern Business District (Bunderan HI area) until Old Business District (Gajah Mada - Kota Tua) mostly who lives at Center Jakarta are busy worker, they live in apartment..West Jakarta, kind of a mix between South and North, middle economic people, basically people from West Jakarta easily blend with others, it connecting south to north..East Jakarta, compared to the other Jakarta area, development at East is the slowest, in one spot at East you can see all the buildings in Jakarta from there, while at your spot, not much buildings around you, but the people at East Jakarta mostly the real Jakarta ethnic people called Betawi people, so there still a lot of Betawi's Cultures at East Jakarta... I love Jakarta because of those many cultures in this city :D ..honestly, when the pandemic lowered (bulllshit if the pandemic will gone :D) you should back here in Jakarta, bro, and explore the Real Jakarta, not The Lockdowned Jakarta

Funny thing is, scbd is south jakarta same as pondok indah but bit further south..pondok indah isn't even the most south of south jakarta.. you still have enough km to travel before you really are at the end of south jakarta.

Try to use GRAB as often as you can. It's for sure CHEAPER than that blu* taxi. When you use GRAB, no extra cost in case you lost or you should take another route, but with taxi, they cost you those extra route.

Try go to BSD, its a satellite city outskirt of south jakarta...
It is loud because it is at the side of the highway. We call it JORR (Jakarta Outer Ring Road), btw you can call it outskirt of Jakarta. BUt, in fact it is a lot busier than many part of Central and South Jakarta. The traffic in that highway is by far the busiest innercity highway portion in Jakarta. Before pandemics, that part of the highway is often congested.
Thats why the air in that area is not clean, probably one of the worst in Jakarta due to that one single highway. Yes, it is noisy bad around JORR, it is noisy 24/7.
Maybe a worthy destination for you to visit after Jakarta is the city of Bogor and the city of Bandung (West Java), a cool, unique city and many things you can explore from these 2 cities.
