Nice car kid! Do yourself a favor and get rid of that" knuckle buster" on the steering wheel! Back in the good old days, that "knuckle buster" sent many people to the hospital whenever they hit a pothole or the front tire suddenly hit the curb. Once you hit a pothole or curl that steering wheel will spin very fast and hit your knuckle. I seen that happen in my young days and heard identical stories with from people with a hand cast. Son, I will give you a thumbs up for driving a car from my youth!
jorge hernandez hahah totally true one time it caught my sleeve and I almost got in accident but without power steering sometime it’s such a bi*** to do u turns !
Did you replace ALL the wiring or just resistor it from Firewall back as I noticed it cranked like a twelve volt , saw the 12 volt alternator but then noticed the older voltage regulator on the firewall so am led to believe you left the old six volt wiring in place throughout the rest of the car and just resistored it down to run the old heater fan and all lights etc.. Seeing that old voltage regulator confused me as all the lights and things are way brighter, as well as the horns sounding more powerful than any six volt system of that year.
ozzman 53 I have the stock 235 with hydronic Lifters, 2 speed power glide, i rebuilt it, straight piped it, put electronic ignition on it, and etc. it can easily do 85-95. I would probably do 100 I never tried really as it loud as hell , would feel much more comfortable if there was a 3 gear
Great Job, I wish it was a 2 Door, I like the way you are trying to keep it original Thankyou and good luck selling the 53 Chevrolet.
