A beautiful job of restoring that ole "Stove bolt" Chevrolet. It does my heart good to see those old 1950 automobiles. Just think, no COMPUTERS! Just get in, turn the key, and go! Boy, those were the days. Thanks guys for the wonderful memories of "yesteryear"!
Lots of memories for me. Had one in high school, graduated in 1970. We'd run it hard, put on an Offenhauser intake for two - one barrel carbs, a homemade split exhaust came with it, put a floor shifter in it, broke the main shaft on the tranny about 5 times, 3 axles, about a dozen wheel studs, and the drive shaft, then fix it up. The drive shaft was tough to fix, had to get the whole setup from the transmission on back. I was in the differential so many times I can do it blindfolded. Overhauled the engine be for the modifications. Because it was orange, we named it the Pumpkin. Then a drunk pulled out in front of me and I couldn't stop in time. Damaged it enough to total it. One of my favorite cars. Thanks for posting this.
Truly a very nice car to start with, almost zero rust. You guy`s did an awesome job restoring the car. I would have loved to seen the first start and drive after all the work was done. Thanks for the video.

This is...without a doubt...THE finest '54 Chevy on the planet!! You have rebuilt every single screw, bolt, nut, and bracket on the car, and if it were possible to park a brand new one next to her, and compare, your car would be far superior to anything G.M. produced. (Including Cadillac) Bravo! on a wonderful job! From the U.S.A. 3/7/'21
I was 6 when my father bought his 1954 Bel Air. He often let me sit on his lap and steer as he worked the pedals. (I'm sure his hand was on the bottom of the wheel out of my sight.) His light turquoise seemed a little darker than your choice, the top was a two tone as yours is. His also had the front visor over the windshield which then required the prism device on the dash to see overhead signal lights. Thank you for the trip down memory lane. You did excellent work, be rightfully proud.
My dad had a 1954 Chevy Bel Air, standard, & I learned to drive, on it at 13 in 1959! Unfortunately, it only lasted until about 1964! Truthfully, I thought the '55 was a better looking car!
Super job that you've done! These 210 Chevys were the best cars ever. I had a '55 which was a real beauty! Unfortunately was killed by rust caused by salty winter roads...
Beautiful beautiful excellent restoration like it's supposed to be. Thank you for keeping our American classic original I have yet to see any videos on RUclips or anywhere, this is the first in many years that kept a restoration original and didn't destroy the classic changing and putting and adding and taking things away from the car and destroying them. You're the first one to keep it original, in its original form, I've never seen that before excellent job, and again thanks for keeping our American classics original. Take care excellent work. I have a 1953 Chevy Bel Air horizon Blue the color. I believe 1954 has the horizon Blue as well which is that color there 👍🏼💯. Everybody out there who's going to restore a classic that's how you do it, take notes that's how you keep them original.
One of my uncle's bought a new '54 that impressed me when he returned from Korea. It seemed like it was rock solid, even closing the doors had a vault-like feel. Bought a rust-free (a big deal living in Detroit that used salt for snow removal) '54 210 4-door in '67 while stationed at Fort Carson Colorado for $200 at a Nash used car lot in Pueblo. Everything worked, the only thing I had done before my first trip home to Detroit was to have the head rebuilt. After that, I swear you could not hear it run unless the hood was open. What a great, reliable and trouble-free car. Great times & memories.
@@realtruth172 It seemed like all GM cars back then had more of a solid feel than the Ford & Mopar products. The Mopars had some odd pull door handles. The '55-'57 Chevys in the Midwest rusted in some of the oddest areas like the quarter panels known as the "golden rings". I knew some GM Fisher body engineers who worked on the sealing & bodies & said they were dumbfounded why they rusted prematurely in certain areas. But then, every car rusted badly from the salt laden roads especially in the Detroit area.
*- Exquisite restoration.* *- The dark blue dash board **2:39** & **4:52**, matching with the steering wheel, feels so much better to me.* *- The light blue dash would be hard on my eyes and be a distraction for me when driving.*

Watching this was like stepping back in time to my childhood. My Dad had an old '54 Bel Air that we were constantly working on. I recognized almost every engine part here! I am hoping to start restoring my Dad's car this Fall if all goes well. Thanks for the great video!
My dad, an air force pilot, had one of these that he drove to the base. When the winter temps got below freezing he would build a small fire under the transmission to warm it up in the morning. Sounds crazy, but true.
I just enjoyed every minute of the video .To restore a machine that once was king of the road so expertly to a pristine condition plus more, especially to its original glorious look, brings delight to the eyes 👀 of those who at one point or another had the opportunity to enjoy driving or riding in such a beautiful car. This is the sheer beauty of a true artisan at work. Most people call what they do "restorations" when in reality what they've produced is a hacked up, chopped up rat rod. This is a real restoration worthy of the title!
Every time I see a 54 or 53 it causes me to reflect back on the 53 I owned. Although mine was a 4dr. sedan. I still have a 53 Club Coupe that I had bought for parts, but I never really used many parts. It has always been my dream to build the Coupe. They are something you just don't see many of. I enjoyed watching the 54 being built. Beautiful car it turned out to be. Ronnie.
Great shape to begin with. My deceased grandmother (born 1901) bought this exact same 54 Belair Chevy pillarless coupe. (Auto trans-no power steering or brakes) same color scheme and color as your 54. I was only 8 years old when she traded it in for a new 61 Impala with power steering, trans and brakes because she was getting older, and it was hard for her steer it. A perfect top-of-the line Chevrolet restoraton, ready for a museum. Only one thing I might do differently, convert the drum brakes to disc if the car is to be driven any distance on the freeway. Oh, when I was a boy my family lived not far from the Bel Air neighborhood in Los Angeles from which the model got it's name.
This was my first car. Bought new by my father at Brewers Chevrolet in Manhattan Kansas. Given to me in 1968. Exact same body style-two door, green with a white top, and with the six cylinder stovebolt 235. I butchered that car up pretty bad. The car came with a 2-speed Powerglide automatic which I abused and tore up twice. I switched over to the three speed on the column (later put a Hurst stick in it) and from hydraulic to solid valve lifters. I rebuilt the engine, oversize pistons and switched to a 12 volt system from a '55. Too much to talk about here. RIP.
Who ever restored this ( beautiful toy ) you got lot of talents and patience. seeing this car on towing trailer and next thing give n it C.P.R. to respond to life it seemed impossible. but you did it. And not every one can do this type of Meticulous work it comes in your DNA.👍💯% approved by me. I also restore old cars I enjoyed ❤every minute of this video.
That car was in remarkably good condition to start with, 67 yrs old!!. You can see why folk went crazy for the 55, just imagine them side by side. This body style would be great chopped & channeled, maybe widened too. Looks fab though, congrats.
My dad had one before I could drive. It was a cheaper version with less trim and three on the tree. You know, now that I'm sixty+ now these are more beautiful than the 55 to 57 models that I so loved in my youth.
Quel boulot de dingue, super réalisation. Bémol, la seule musique qui m'aurait fait plaisir d'écouter pour laquelle vous n'auriez pas eu besoin de payer des droits, la musique du moteur.

He is getting in his early 80's and hardly ever drives it since having it restored. It has several performance period correct to the era of the car that being slightly lower about 2 inches, dual exhaust, header and dual carbs, And of course Dodge Lancer wheel covers
Love this video. No one can see or think about all the engineering it took to build that rusty abandoned car you might see in a cow pasture! And most of those folks who engineered it and the factory workers that built it have passed on. I think you honor their legacy and to keep it alive. Maybe too deep of a thought lol
I want a 1952 Chevrolet 4 door Chevrolet bel air . It was ancient when I learn to drive. My best buds and my dog had a great time in the car, until my parents thought I needed a cool car. Now I drive my dad''s 16 year old Buick. My dogs, are now the posse, they love it. And everyone knows me.
WOW. Superb! I often dreamed of taking my '54 "210" apart for a full restoration. YOU have done it for me... by proxy! 😀 BTW, glad to see you finally got the ignition coil pointing downward correctly! One thing: the narrow strip from the hood ornament down to the shield should be body-color, not chrome. 😉
My '54 210 was body color too. Built at Tarrytown, NY. Might have been a running change or different at different assembly plants. Video shows a more expensive Bel Air.
I'm in New Zealand & I had 6 of these in the 210 Sedan option when I was in my late teen's, Awesome cars to drive but the King Pin front pivots/steering for the front hubs were a pain in the arse when it came to our Warrant of Fitness over here.
Nice rust free car. I`m building a 54 210 but I have a Belaire parts car. I wish it was that solid. You in the UK here in the States when it snows we used alot of salt on the roads. Hat a 53 convertible in High School.
Outstanding restoration of the 54 Belair! You did an amazing job of bringing it back to life after sitting so many years. Considering it was parked away so long it was still a very solid car. Was it hard to get all the parts that you needed in France? It would be interesting to know the cars history. I bet it would have a story to tell. Now it will have a new life and serve it's owner well for many years to come. I have subscribed and will be watching your other videos!
You just completely built that 54 from ground up. The hood ornaments were pot metal. Never could get pits out of it. My also was a 4 door. Even the custom interior looks great.

absolutely stunning restoration!!! I have always loved the 1954 body style.
Thanks! we will upload another restoration project of ford 1954 this weekend
Incredible!
I saw many of these cars (unrestored) here in Brazil!
What a fantastic job.
congratulations
I also restore old cars
I enjoyed ❤every minute of this video.
Thanks for this support!!
Wow! I can't imagine what amount it took for that rebuild bravo my man'
Great rebuild, its a brand new 1953 Chevrolet Belair, just beautiful, thank you !!
P.S. lose the music
That beauty was born the year I was born oh what a privilege to be in that company Chevy Bel Air 1954 and your amazing restoration.
That car was in remarkably good condition to start with, 67 yrs old!!.
You can see why folk went crazy for the 55, just imagine them side by side.
This body style would be great chopped & channeled, maybe widened too.
Looks fab though, congrats.
Almost nothing as beautiful as a blue and white 1954 Chevy Bel Air. Now it needs whitewall tires (tyres).
Fantastic Job On That Awesome Chevy! You Really Did a Spectacular Job!!! 👏👏👏
Lot of thanks! Subcribe to see the next upload =)
What a beautiful car well done to all concerned 😊
Super nice 54 and even better with the 12 volt system. Thank you for the share.
Thank you for watching :)
The best car restoration I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing.
My dad had one before I could drive. It was a cheaper version with less trim and three on the tree. You know, now that I'm sixty+ now these are more beautiful than the 55 to 57 models that I so loved in my youth.
yes it is always beautiful!
Quel boulot de dingue, super réalisation. Bémol, la seule musique qui m'aurait fait plaisir d'écouter pour laquelle vous n'auriez pas eu besoin de payer des droits, la musique du moteur.
Merci beaucoup!
Thank you for this trip down memory lane. As a kid in the 50’s, my grandpa Musick owned this same car. It was when men were men and women were women.
Amazing craftsmanship! So satisfying to watch!
Thanks for watching and our goal is to satisfy the public =)
Beautiful job on the restoration had a 54 hardtop wish I still did cool car👍👍👍
Thanks =)
What a meticulous restoration. I love your video and editing too!
Keep them coming.
@Jim thanks for this positiv comment! Of course we keep them coming 😎
It's amazing the difference it makes when a car is kept inside.
yes the amazing difference of restoration!
What a “solid” Bel Air to start with, and you put it back original 👍👍👍👍🙂
@@josebsoto5510 Thanks. Yes the music is not good in this old video. After this video we try to make the video editing and the music better, thanks for comment

Another beautiful job...you guys are true craftsmen!!
Very good a friend of mine in Vintage Chevrolet Club of America in Washington state has one. Its a 2dr club coupe a 210 model. I have thought of buying it on several occasions. He is getting in his early 80's and hardly ever drives it since having it restored. It has several performance period correct to the era of the car that being slightly lower about 2 inches, dual exhaust, header and dual carbs, And of course Dodge Lancer wheel covers
Un aplauzo exelente ,genio te felicito Daniel de argentina
Totally Awesome Resto Here, thanks, my Grandfather had a car just like this...
Thank you
Love this video.
Nice, enjoy it!
BEAUTIFUL ! GREAT JOB ! , and Salute to a Great shop , and Very talented assemblers and craftsman . Great color choice and meticulous detail .
Carro lindo! Projeto incrível! Parabéns!
Thanks!!
WOW, Just, Wow Man, what a great job. Nice to see a proper restore for a change. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching
Absolutely amazing, thank you for this with the rest of the world, I am most grateful!
Thanks for yatching and for comment =)
That is beautiful!! I’d rather have this car than a brand new Honda or Toyota! Nice job guys!🇺🇸
WOW.
Beautiful car, some white wall tires would complement the white accents beautifully . Great job!!
I had a 1953 brings back some memories. Thank you!
Excellent work bringing back this beauty. Its the same year and make and color as my first car and it brings back some very good memories. Thanks
Thanks for watching =)
Your so very lucky to start with a very good solid original car
now, THAT is a restoration. nice job. my father had one of these when I was in junior high school.
thanks
I'm in New Zealand & I had 6 of these in the 210 Sedan option when I was in my late teen's, Awesome cars to drive but the King Pin front pivots/steering for the front hubs were a pain in the arse when it came to our Warrant of Fitness over here.
How much they going for???
عمل ممتاز جدا جدا وعاشت اليدي ❤
Beautiful work thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching and for support us with subscribe =)
Nice rust free car. I`m building a 54 210 but I have a Belaire parts car. I wish it was that solid. You in the UK here in the States when it snows we used alot of salt on the roads. Hat a 53 convertible in High School.
Top demais de estrutura e originalidade 🥰
Beautiful job. You did that right. Thank you for saving it!
Really like post war cars. This was a great restoration.
Thank you! =)
Na filmagem do chassi me pareceu máquina do tempo 👍👏👏👏
You just completely built that 54 from ground up. The hood ornaments were pot metal. Never could get pits out of it. My also was a 4 door. Even the custom interior looks great.
