Prefer the realistic sim of 2k with full entrances but aew has those nice little details of effects like the signature flame effect and the finisher impact effect and replay right after is so cool. Alo is it me or does AEW coloring just pops compared to 2k. 2k has this white washed out filter on it.
AEW made me enjoy WWE 2K again. I know that sounds crazy but I don’t even know where to start. AEW lacks too much for it to have been sold at release for a whopping $70.00. I actually held off on purchasing it and got it for free through PS Plus. I tried it out thinking it was going to be promising especially since I was missing older games like SVR. And I heard it was supposed to be produced like a No Mercy type game. It is so bad. I got it for free and didn’t keep it installed longer than two days. The gameplay is heavy and clunky. It reminds me almost of an app for your phone. The fights are super repetitive and the Roster is bare minimum. Ig THQ and AEW promised to update the game through patches. Adding more and more to it as time goes. But as of now it is a very empty, boring game. Everyone already knows about the limited match types and game modes. So no need to really cover all of that. I ended up actually purchasing WWE 2K24 because of this. And had more fun than I ever thought I would have with it. This AEW game is no more than a BETA for No Mercy imo 🤷🏻♂️. Just with polished graphics.

I played smackdown vs raw 2005 on the ps2. These games honestly looks like that game. Am i missing something?
