One thing I’d like to see brought back in WWE 2K that was in the older games like the Smackdown and SvR series: if you have a top rope finisher, being able to do it off the top of a ladder, the cage or through a table.

Something you forgot to add with the ladder match, in 2k23, you can place the ladder anywhere in the ring or outside the ring. In Fight Forever, you can only place the ladders in pre determined spots which are the turnbuckles, rings ropes, corners of the ring, and middle of the ring. This killed the ladder match game for me in FF

AEW is pretty good for the first game, i hope it's will succeed financially and expand more. WWE has a legacy of 20+ games so obviously it will have a lot more.
Hope so i much prefer Fight Forever, it’s a well thought out game especially when it comes to creating your custom wrestlers and having to get as many stat points as you can for them through the road to elite. All your matches earn you money for unlocks as well through all the modes so a sense of linked purpose to all of it. Plus the wrestling is just more fun imo with old skool style controls.

I cut Fight Forever a little slack here actually. It's AEW's first game and from what I've played so far, it rocks. Old school styled gameplay with plenty of detail swimming around in there. They can keep improving with each game
I don't because they had wwe's former developer and the "legend" aki producers. Everyone came out saying fight forever was going to be legendary but now it's "wait for the updates man."

I have played the WWE/2K games for years, but, I will never understand all the hate for AEW: FF and why so many WWE fans seem to want it to fail, the 2K series badly needs some competition to make them pull their finger out instead of them releasing the same old, same old.. game with minimal changes every single year, all the time 2K have no one to worry about they can continue to be lazy, long story short if AEW: FF does well (or any other wrestling game) and it finally pushes 2K to improve then all wrestling gaming fans win 🤷♂

I'm fine with AEW Fight Forever being an arcade-like game. It's obviously meant to be cartoonish in a way so fans need to realize this when comparing it with WWE's 2K games. But, I would also like to see AEW release a live simulation game like WWE's 2K. Feel like it would be badass and would enjoy the realism.

Bought tbis game today !! This is how i wanted wwe to be .. i get there is a place for sim but man do i miss the arcade style .. we need to suppoet this game so we have rwo products rather than just 2k and beaides 2k been sleep these past 5 years and it was only these last 2 they made some effort but they have a way to go to rebuild the physics and engine of the game ( ie environment interaction in wwe 2k is horrible)

Correct they chose not to give more matches or longer exciting matches or to have more then just 4 people at once. They chose this dumb button mashing for pins that does nothing anyway. They literaly kept most of it the same as no mercy to bank on nastalgia. But funniest part is no mercey has better longer story modes it has fingting through out the back it has a bigger roster it has more matches and only 4 in the ring but not by choice but limitation. So the copied a game everyone loves to once again bank on nastalgia but couldnt even give half of what made it good.

I agree with peoples complaints about content, but the actual wrestling gameplay is just way more fun than 2K23. The entire arena is like a interactive sandbox and the grappling system is intuitive like the classic AKI games. It's hard to understand when first playing it as to why that formula is simply superior compared to what the 2K series had turned into. Like, if you have to input a strike combination to perform a grappling move in a wrestling game, it's trash. Which is why No Mercy, VPW2 and Fire Pro have always been top dog.

But funniest part is no mercey has better longer story modes it has fingting through out the back it has a bigger roster it has more matches and only 4 in the ring but not by choice but limitation. So the copied a game everyone loves to once again bank on nastalgia but couldnt even give half of what made it good.

I agree with peoples complaints about content, but the actual wrestling gameplay is just way more fun than 2K23. The entire arena is like a interactive sandbox and the grappling system is intuitive like the classic AKI games. It's hard to understand when first playing it as to why that formula is simply superior compared to what the 2K series had turned into. Like, if you have to input a strike combination to perform a grappling move in a wrestling game, it's trash. Which is why No Mercy, VPW2 and Fire Pro have always been top dog.
Your entitled to your opinion but no other then graphics fight forever has shown that is better then 2k23 by a massive amount and I own both and watch both aew and wwe fight forever clearly listened to the fan base and gave them damn near everything they asked for 2k has ignored them every single year and honestly I have yet to a single person back up there opinion without bringing up the graphics and if that's all you got to cry about wwe might wanna find a new game development crew soon because this isnt gonna stand for very long graphics can only go so far in marketing bud a games gotta be fun to and 2k has been getting drastically boring as each game comes out

I havent played 2k23, but I did play WWE 2k22 and It's definitely their best WWE game (excluding 2014 because it wasnt theirs). I dont know what you are on honestly

There’s no way people can tell me wwe2k23 is fun every game mode sucks and it’s boring the core gameplay suck should’ve just kept 19 engine with better graphics aew is more fun and with updates more wrestlers and more match types not bashing 2k because aew should have most of these things but it’s like 2k doesn’t really care about the game
