Removing layers of plywood - art project

- I got intrigued by the question what would happen if you take away layers of plywood. How would it look? I decided to take this on as a project with a drawer cabinet, and because the second hand cabinet I bought came in a pair, I made two, both with different kinds of plywood.

Fantastic. The addition of the colour to the first cabinet worked really well. I'd have been tempted to shellac/French polish it after the staining as I like the deep reflective high gloss finish that gives (even if that takes forever to do and isn't the most hard wearing finish; there is something deeply satisfying about applying each layer and watching it build up).
Such talent! You must be an engineer..
So enjoyable and imaginative, I like the layers effect very much. The first cabinet is so well fitted together, the second makes me jealous lol 😁 P.S Thank you for skipping the ads 👍
