What a fantastic tutorial- espeically for those of us who are new seamstresses. Thank you so much, I will pass this along to our customer's who call with the same question!♥
Someone in a comment thread I follow mentioned dirndhl as a garment that has nice adjustability so I went looking. Thank you for this video it's exactly what I wanted to see!
I believe in some of your Original Videos, you talked about having nice edges on your seam allowance for this very reason. It sure makes it easy if there is extra seam allowance for letting out!! You make it all look so easy!! Thank you!!!!
Because I lend out so many dirndls each year, I have a lot more flexibility to quickly alter side seams if they are sewn with extra seam allowance AND finished off with sturdy edges.

I have a large plastic container with extra fabric from most dresses I have made. It has come in quite handy for repairs a few years down the road.
very good detail photography
Thank you so much 😀
This is great! I have a vintage dirndl I need to let out, and now I know how!
I hope you don't have to repair all your armholes like I had to!!
Thanks for sharing! I was about to let go my dirndl
