Patience! I love to sew when everything goes right, however!!!, my blood pressure doesn't do so well when I make a mistake. lol. I did make most of my maternity clothes a LONG time ago. Having a choice of fabrics is such a bonus. Thank you for being such a calming teacher.

Thank you so much for your sweet comment and for sharing! You can always start back up with a smaller project and work yououp. Many mistakes can be rectified- which is why my seam ripper is my best friend 🤣

@@OurGabledHome I totally get that! I need a clean space to work. The days I have energy get used up with more necessary projects.
I have fabrics that go far back, that when I see some of them on ebay...as vintage...(ouch).it hurts, but also feels like seeing an old friend. A window into the back. It's so odd! lol. Projects I never had time to complete. Now they would have to be for grandchildren. The interest is still there, however.
Your cooking and crafting are wonderful! Please keep it up! We all enjoy your calm and friendly demeanor! I love the German, too!
And crocheting...arthritis doesn't always agree with me. 😁🤦‍♀️

What a wonderful idea that you made it and now are selling it for somebody to have that may not be able to make it for themselves. I wish it was in a size 6 🥰

Thanks for sharing your beautiful work.
I suspect this will help with my attempts to sew something similar for my daughter.

I would have liked to see the entire dirndl finished. Is it an apron or a dress with an apron, I'm sorry but I don't know what it is used for. I think I have seen them on the servers when we went to Octoberfest when I was a little girl but I am not sure. A little more history/story, please!
I really enjoyed watching you sew it and the tips that you had. I have one for you, when you sew the ribbon you can cut it at an angle then sew the angled end first then down the length. This makes it neater and also makes it easy to turn by using a stick, broom handle or you can buy a fancy turning tool. I do enjoy your videos and I learn a lot from you! Thank you, Anja!

This video is for the whole Dirndl: bodice with attached skirt and separate apron. Servers in Southern Germany and Oktoberfest visitors will wear them but they're also making a come-back with younger people en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirndl. Thank you for your tips 👍 ~ Anja

Looks lovely. Does the pattern have a button front, or the zipper?

Thank you! The pattern has buttons but I have taken the liberty to make the buttons decorative and have a zipper in the back 😊 ~ Anja

What about that beautiful simple blouse you are wearing, do you have pattern for that? You dress so pretty 😊

Isn’t there a blouse pattern with the pattern you made? It might not have the same sleeves but could it be modified to look similar? I own the pattern but have yet to make it. I love the dress but feel it is a lot of work for one wear a year.

I don’t understand the pieces you use for the skirt. Is it just 7 and 8? Don’t you use the back pattern? Someone please help.

I ended up using less fabric for the skirt but if in doubt, follow the instructions of your pattern. Happy sewing ~ Anja
