    This isn't force mode, you just put it into 6V mode, then standby, then back to normal mode, which isn't charging anything right now if the battery is really low. @jaydubb82's comment is correct, you have to get force mode while the clips are disconnected, then all the modes blink and you choose one, and the indicator LED alternates blinking both red and green.

      Did not have to disconnect clips to get to force mode. I followed his directions and it worked perfectly.

    On my unit, that I got last year, this method didn't work. You have to remove the battery clips so they're floating. Put the unit into force mode, and all batteries LEDs illuminate. Connect to the battery and select the correct option. My battery is a lithium motorcycle battery. Maybe that's the difference. But, doing it your way results in the 6V LED illuminating at 5sec and returning to standby mode at 7sec.

      THANK YOU! this just worked for me, (for a 12v car battery). i was struggling for days with this lol, manual needs to explain this better. i was about to return this for a replacement thinking it's bad. exactly what you said is correct, while connected he's just going into 6v mode and back to normal mode which isn't actually forcing or charging. force mode the light blinks red and green together, not just red.

      You are correct in having the battery disconnected to enable force mode. I was literally about to smash this damn charger thinking it was broken. I knew the above video was incorrect because it was obvious compared to NOCO's video displaying the lights. NOCO just left out the disconnection part. Comments never fail, thanks Slick!

      Correct mate, this video is NOT how to access Force Mode.

    Here’s an old trick - If your still having no luck, grab some jumper-leads and a good battery, connect the jumper-leads + - + & - to - then put the battery charger leads on the dead battery, this will trick any charger to believe it’s above 10v and will start charging…✌️

    Dont you have to add distilled water in the cell?

    • @FullThrottleBHP
      @FullThrottleBHP  7 месяцев назад

      If you are charging a standard 12V battery then yes you can add distilled water. Thank you for commenting and helping others! Sadly AGM and many other batteries are considered "Maintenance Free" and does not allow you to add any to the battery reducing its life cycle.

    I have had my noco genius 5 on for 6 plus hours and the charge light is still on the first red light. Is it still charging or do I need to use force mode? Thanks

    • @FullThrottleBHP
      @FullThrottleBHP  5 месяцев назад

      Of the red indicator light is flashing it should be charging. What size battery are you trying to charge?
      Sometimes if the battery is very low or a large battery it can take some time to charge.

    If it’s making a humming sound while charging what do that means?

    • @FullThrottleBHP
      @FullThrottleBHP  2 года назад

      Hello, thank you for reaching out. I hope you enjoyed the episode and be sure to consider leaving a thumbs up and subscribing if you have not already.
      Regarding any humming sounds, I am not 100% positive. While using my Noco charger there is no sounds given off. I would highly recomend reaching out to the Noco support page on there website and speak with one of their techs regarding your concern. It's possible it may need to be replaced. Most likely should be underwarranty as well if its defective.
      I hope that helps and wish you luck. If there is anything else be sure to reach out. Thank you again for your support and until next time... keep er at Full Throttle

      Thanks for reaching out, I hope you enjoyed the episode and be sure to hit that thumbs up and subscribe if you haven't already. Your support goes a long way.
      Regarding your question this unit is not designed for that. It requires a constant main power connection to maintain /or trickle (slowly) charge a battery.
      To do what you are looking for would be a portable booster pack. Something like that would be able to charge up and bring on the go to quickly boost a dead or low voltage battery back to enough charge to start a vehicle. Stay tune as ai have a new episode coming out of a device that do exactly that!
      Thank you again for your support and if you have any questions just let me know.

    Is this same for noco 1? Is a car battery 22v?

    • @rachaelwynne-jones8624
      @rachaelwynne-jones8624 2 года назад +1

      12v not 22

    • @FullThrottleBHP
      @FullThrottleBHP  Год назад

      So sorry for the late reply... This process should be the same for the Noco line up including the Noco 1. You are also correct car batteries are 12V generally speaking, keep in mind there are many different kinds of 12v car batteries so be sure to select the proper one on the battery charger settings.
