This is what i keep hearing when i think of playing BF2042, sadness, sorrow, disappointment, and total depression, at the fact that this series just got killed, Tom Henderson already stated that the next game is going to enhance specialists and that this game is supposed to be a stepping stone towards a Hero shooter genre shift for the Battlefield series, it's over, we fought well, but we failed in the end, EA killed off their most beloved franchise, first was need for speed, then medal of honor, then mass effect and now battlefield, they truly shocked me. There's nothing that can save this series at this point, farewell fellow soldiers, it's been nice seeing you on the battlefield, but the battlefield is now gone, replaced by greed, lack of care, and lack of passion by the dev team. They even managed to fuck up the soundtrack for 2042, it sounds nothing like a battlefield soundtrack, this just marked 2021 as the worst year of my life for me, nothing could go more wrong, gaming as a whole is going downhill at such a rapid pace that it feels like we are gonna have to find something new to enjoy, otherwise we are just gonna be sitting in front of screens doing nothing the whole day, wishing that the old days could come back, this is how you know that you're witnessing the death of something you love...

@@artnok927 that is not a good ending, at all, not in a story that is as straightforward and traditional as this, there is no ambiguity before the ending, so it is cheap and half assed to suddenly, out of the blue, stop the story and not finish it for some sort of pointless shock value that is not necessary, it isn't even a sequel bait!, No, it is not a good ending, it isn't an ending.
It is hard to realize that almost ten years have passed since this masterpiece came out, i still get chills when i hear anything about this game, my childhood, just perfect, the best Battlefield game ever, it will always live in my memories
Its definitely up there with the Bad Company campaigns. Also helps that the characters and their portrayal is loosely inspired by Generation Kill. A shame about Battlefield 4's campaign taking the COD route.
Man hearing this at the end of a match genuinely made me feel despair, I feel like loosing is so dulled down in battlefield now, it doesn’t hit anymore that your side just lost a conflict.
Jesus the nostalgia hit me like a train... I remember when I still lived in England and went into a gaming store called "GAME" (Just to explain for the people who don't live in the UK) and wanted to buy DiRT 3 for the PS3 (new at the time) and saw that a game for PS3 had a "MEGA DISCOUNT" sticker on it. It was Battlefield 3. I checked what the original price was, and I was shocked. It went from £16.99 to £3.99! And I think DiRT 3 at the time was at about £20-£30 so I completely forgot about DiRT 3 and went for BF3. When I asked the cashier why it had a "MEGA DISCOUNT", he said that simply no-one wanted to buy it. He also threw in a free copy of NFS Pro Street (because I broke my old copy and wanted to get a new one, so he hooked me up). When I got home, I didn't know at the time that the campaign was so in depth and better than many other campaigns (in my opinion!) and I was also taking a break from MW3, because of the toxic community and amount of shit-talkers. It was beautiful. I really wish that I could travel back in time to experience my memories again and again. My mind was blown at the story at the time. Sergeant Blackburn, Dima, Montes, Chaffin, Cole, Kaffarov, Kroll, Vladimir, Solomon, all names that I will probably never forget in my life. However, the best time of my PS3 life was when I moved to the multiplayer. (I always play the campaign before the multiplayer so that I can get a better taste of the story and locations.) I was absolutely gobsmacked. The maps were brilliant, the gun sounds and looks were out of this world, and I was also surprised that there were actual vehicles, boats and choppers that you could control with your very hands! (Unlike CoD.) I even remember my first game: Conquest on Tehran Highway. But we lost and then this unforgetable song popped up with the text *Your Team Lost!*. After that it was just hours and hours of playing Multiplayer. Then I bought Battlefield 3: Premium Edition (yes, I bought the same game twice because I wasn't aware that you could buy It online.) I then played the living SHIT out of every single map, gamemode and even unlocked all of the premium camos and weapons. Throughout the years, I also met alot of my real life friends through Battlefield 3 and I am so happy I did. Then, Battlefield 4 came out. I immediately grabbed it for the PS3 (Again.) and paid for the premium. I loved the BF4 campaign (unlike most people) and hit Colonel 100 faster than I could wank myself. Then, about a year later, I moved to Austria (before Brexit) because me and my family are from Slovakia and when I was 4, we moved to the UK. At that time, I picked up a PS4 and a hard copy of BF4 Day One Edition. Sorry if this is long but I just wanted to explain how much BF3 meant to me. I wish that DICE would remaster BF3, but now we are getting BFV. As a true fan, I will support it and hope that we will get BF3 Remastered for the PS4 soon.
Game is gone /: I can't believe it I bought my Xbox one and 360 from there. All games ( besides from some from C E X ) Yeah I'm polish and English Slovakia is very nice place
MattyferSVK that’s cool that you spent time to put that down. Yeah, different things can cause a strong nostalgia. I myself have same feelings for BF3, remembering how I was a middle schooler, playing that campaign and thinking how eerie it felt - every mission seemed real, like I was in a combat zone, and everything was serious. And I liked the US and Russia combine powers in the face of two soldiers to stop terrorism. Great times. Now we are grown ups and can’t find spare hours to play games we did as children, one of the brutalities of being an adult. But nostalgia still warms the insides)
Wow guys, I completely forgot about this comment. After about 3 years, a lot has changed. I bought a gaming pc and I'm playing BF3 daily since then. It's even better now, I can't believe that even after so long, there's still a dedicated community playing the shit out of this game. It makes me feel warm and happy in these dark times. I also have a lot of nostalgia for MW3, as I also played that game until I hit max prestige and got gold on every single weapon but back then I needed a break from the community because of how toxic it was. Now we are nearing BF 2042's release and there are rumors of a BF3 Remaster. I just want to thank you all for writing in this thread, it made me remember the best times of my life.

Erik Hubinák I Mean why are you so mad ... i Miss the old days ... bf2 ... mw2 and all these good old days ! Don't Start the Idiotic Chat now !
There were no good days, thats just your obsession with fucking song from Twenty One Pilots... the thing is... that if you find something that is good it will just get
Bad... or... you know... because you had enough of it... or you just... think its normal now... so you want something special and you think it changed but it actually didnt... This is just simple explanation....
This soundtrack is so sinister, almost like the clock is ticking. The slow build up. A soundtrack that’ll trap you in time with nothing but the anticipation of something bound to happen.
bf3 is the best
bf3's story is awesome/amazing
bf3 is the best
Battlefield 3 is love.
Battlefield 3 is live.
the ending though... that is a terrible ending
@@murciadoxial8056 Ending wasn't complete, but it was good. Like, what was the aftermath?!?!?!??!?! REEEEEEE
yes agree ✊ BF3
@@artnok927 that is not a good ending, at all, not in a story that is as straightforward and traditional as this, there is no ambiguity before the ending, so it is cheap and half assed to suddenly, out of the blue, stop the story and not finish it for some sort of pointless shock value that is not necessary, it isn't even a sequel bait!, No, it is not a good ending, it isn't an ending.

Bf3 is the best
I don't know but I miss the blue tint in BF4 from BF3. Now BF4 is so reddish-yellow tint making it feel hot and personally make it feel depressing.
i think the blue tint made some maps better, some worse. Some were looking more realistic. Red tint makes everythins so shiny and good.
Yea. The blue tint worked very well for Metro.
*****
The blue tint on Death Valley looked like someone smashed blueberries into my eyes.
spigotsandcogs True
bf4 didn't have a tint to it maybe a extremely slight tint
This is one of the most memorable video game scores of all time for me!
I'm glad this music is back in bf portal
Thanks for all these memories Battelfield 3

"Oh yeah."
"Alright. Follow my lead."

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LOST A TRAIN!?!"
This whole song is such a vibe it's crazy!
You are a chad if you liked Battlefield's 3 campaign
Its definitely up there with the Bad Company campaigns. Also helps that the characters and their portrayal is loosely inspired by Generation Kill. A shame about Battlefield 4's campaign taking the COD route.
it has been 9 years... Still remember those days.
Who came here after hearing it in bf2042 portal
"You're the one who fragged your CO"
for everyone who fought in BF3 - BF4

The most memorable theme if you played campaign
When Montes died...
I cried.
Everyone dies :(
Man hearing this at the end of a match genuinely made me feel despair, I feel like loosing is so dulled down in battlefield now, it doesn’t hit anymore that your side just lost a conflict.
Man this theme is so damn good, I'm so glad they included it in BF3 portal.
Don't cry because it ended, smile because it happened.
I played this for my friends who play CoD when the BF1 trailer was released.
Cause they lost.
Lost what? Lel
CoD lost to BF

To add more pain to the injury, why don't you play "Hans Zimmer - Coup de Grace" to your friends? :3

The best soundtrack had to be named after a villain -_-
Jesus the nostalgia hit me like a train...
All games ( besides from some from C E X )
Yeah I'm polish and English
Slovakia is very nice place
MattyferSVK that’s cool that you spent time to put that down. Yeah, different things can cause a strong nostalgia. I myself have same feelings for BF3, remembering how I was a middle schooler, playing that campaign and thinking how eerie it felt - every mission seemed real, like I was in a combat zone, and everything was serious. And I liked the US and Russia combine powers in the face of two soldiers to stop terrorism. Great times. Now we are grown ups and can’t find spare hours to play games we did as children, one of the brutalities of being an adult. But nostalgia still warms the insides)
@@sergeant_dornan_ Always cherish those memories. They are always going to be a part of you. BF3 fan for life here.
