@@Roomer645 The Note 10 is really just a revised s10 with depth sensor in terms of camera performance. There won't be a huge improvement until they put in a new sensor. Same probably goes for upcoming iPhone - it might have a new 3rd lens, but if sensors and lenses don;t change much we will get marginal improvements.
Uh no, it didn't imo. It had very similar results to this video. It's only Arun's ratings that give a lower score to the iPhone for not having a 3rd lens or night mode. They are both pretty close in normal situations, and comes down to personal preference. At least for camera stuff.
Honestly speaking, iphone is the best for camera and performance. But ask yourself if your phone is not have the ability to do lot of customization like samsung note 10 plus, do you still prefer iPhone?. Generally people are looking for lot of customizations. They are not bothering about top level performance of phones. I mean here if your phone is strong enough to do multitasking with atleast 80% performance. Then that is well and good. Note 10 plus is having 12gb ram and 7nm chip. My honest opinion is samsung did fantastic job in Note 10 plus innovations. No other phone will match with Note 10 plus in this department. Complete package for businessman's and those who are creative. My overall rating to Note 10 plus is 10/10.

Mehdi Brahimi of course it’s outdated, the phone was released almost a year ago. I would be disappointed if the newer phone wasn’t up to par with the older phone.
rahul yadav for the most part Apple wins, but don’t get me wrong the note 10 has a way better lens in my opinion and way better night mode for some pics.
Note 10 is far better. The iPhone keeps up fairly well in good lighting. The N10 is better in almost every area (Dynamic range, colour balance, detail, exposure and highlights) except where it's more-light approach gives it more exposure in shots which in some parts of the image the iPhone preserves more detail but that's as much as I can see for the iPhone. As for low light it's far behind except for selfies where it does decent. Videos as well. But Samsung are way ahead here. Decent material but if you see mrwhoistheboss comparison you'll get a better idea how far ahead the N10 is.
I'd say it's only ahead due to the night mode and 3rd lens. In other areas, the iPhone is generally more consistent and I prefer it. It mostly comes down to whether you like a brighter, sharper, contrasty pic vs a warmer, slightly more accurate one. At least Samsung has toned down their super saturation a bit. Must have been from their boss not being pleased with the camera performance lol
@@RennieAsh There's nothing wrong with being an iPhone fan/user but one has to be objective. I'm not sure you are dude. Firstly with regards to low light Samsung also has superior hardware and generally superior hardware. Then ofc software they've tooken it to another level. Saying "only" makes it an understatement come on man haha 😂 This sharper vs softer debate is ridiculous. This has nothing to do with preference. The N10 is sharper to the point where the image looks better preserved. It's not aggressive like past Samsung phones, how one can prefer the weak soft iPhone pictures is beyond me. The colouring on the iPhone has improved but is still so bland. The N10 excels here and sammy have come along way it strikes the fine balance with being natural and colourful. I mean the iPhone camera is good and much better than previous year certainly a good buy but as consistent as the N10? I doubt that very much 👍🏻😎
Usaama Khan sounds like preference to me. There’s also knowing when you are arguing your preference too - I.e describing the iPhone pictures as “weak” clearly shows your bias. Real cameras don’t look as sharp as most smartphones out of the box. They make up for it with a bigger sensor and megapixels. Smartphones try to emulate this with (usually) excess sharpening. There were plenty of scenes where the Note showed overexposure or less dynamic range - it seems to do this a little more often than the iPhone from what I’ve seen. The iPhone is more consistent here. It’s also more consistent in making overly red faces at times, which I’d expect them to remedy in future phones. Then there’s video. As usual Samsung has a few more features, whereas the iPhone is more consistent in the quality of what it can do. Eg the Note has better stabilisation , the extra slow motion, wide angle. The iPhone shows better bitrate, dynamic range, keeps wider fov on main camera, microphones sound nicer whereas Samsung has gone for the feature of having “audio zoom”.
Nope. Samsung looks better on a small screen because they always oversharpen and oversaturate the images. Run the video through a 60 inch (or bigger) TV and the Samsung just looks horrible. I wish Samsung just had a boring mode, but they don't. Even the pro mode still adds their stupid post processing. The biggest joke is that Apple use Samsung camera sensors, as do Xiaomi and both companies do a better job using them than Samsung themselves.
The color accuracy of the photos on the Note 10 is pretty bad. I don't know why but.. till now, none of Samsung's phones had good color accurate pictures. Only iPhones' Cameras could capture pictures with true and realistic colors. Every year I hope for a fix to this issue, but all I get is disappointment. The same terrible color accuracy every year!
Unfortunately for Samsung or any other Android phone, it doesn't really matter how much better or worse the iPhone is. Americans are always gonna choose the iPhone especially since the iPhone has iMessage. If you don't have iMessage in the States, you're pretty much screwed.
As long as you only look at photos once on your phone sure. But not for Big Posters or a Diashow. I just recently had a vacation trip and dear god was it a nightmare to get enough decent pictures for a of the sights on ANY smartphone camera. We had an LG V40, 2x Galaxy S10, an IPhone XS M. a current Pixel and a P30 Pro alongside some older and/or mid Tier phones. Most of the Mid-Tier or older products produced mostly unusable results for anything but selfies (those photos no one needs in an album or vacation Diashow more than once), or closer up urban shots especially as soon as we tried to edit them afterwards. Horrible banding and artifacts in the sky etc. Sadly one of them had the best/most accurate color reproduction by far though but the low light performance was miserable even in slightly obstructed daylight settings. The only usable Videos stemmed from one midtier phone the LG and the IPhone, which had more to do with the respective filming+editing skill of the respective owner though interestingly all three were unhappy with their respective result. Regarding photos though.... Including every phone we had about 400 good pictures out of a pool of over 8.5 thousand! With the rest it was always either over-sharpening and compression artifacts, bad handling due to lightweight, weird focus points or artifacts that weren't even apparent on the phone screen sometimes but very much so on a TV, and most of all: Dynamic range. Holy mother of god are phones bad in this category. Strong Low Light Photos were all unusable in the big format. Sure, some beginning sunsets etc looked fine on the P30 Pro and Pixel as well as the LG due to Pixel camera software but everything that isn't shot in an urban setting was just not nice to look at in terms of grain, detail etc. especially when it came to darker scenic landscapes on such a big TV.
@@hienho15 For still I liked the P30 Pro Photos the most probably. It's hard to say when the hunt is more about the photos than the phones. For the videos: unsure. I liked the end result of the LG most but that had also much to do with the person handling and editing it.
I think the Note does better overall. I definitely disagree on your appraisal of your selfies! You may personally prefer to see yourself in the "softer light" of the iPhone but they weren't the better photos. Where I would agree was with the back camera video bokeh, the Note 10 did not do well there.
This just reaffirms it. The quality of the photos, wherein the skin tones, colour profile, dynamic range etc comes into play, the iPhone still is the best. It just shows that the image processing algorithm on the iPhone is designed by photography enthusiasts. The skin tones are generally the best, dynamic range accurate and sufficient, photos are sharp without oversharpening added to them, they are soft where they need to be like in case of clouds where oversharpening destroys the texture. The Samsung and Huawei phones cameras are designed for the mass market. Hence they are more "Instagram ready"
For me... Rear Camera: Note 10+ Front Camera: iPhone XS Max Portrait Mode: Tie Video: iPhone XS Max Samsung's rear camera color palette is kinda similar to iPhone now. 😱
I agree except for the video recording. I have both phones except I have note 9 and It does shaper better 4k recording then iphone only because of the 700mb camera update.. but iphones are selfie gods lol

I am a big android and Samsung fan. But honestly iphone xs max is still the king in both video and picture quality. Samsung seems to be trying really hard on everything like trying to control the exposure or stabilize the video and looks ugly. While the iphone does both smoothly and it has even better and more natural looking colors. Samsung still needs 2 more years to come near this level. I'm a Samsung user!
FANTASTIC comparison video!!! Already pre-ordered my Note 10 Plus!! 👌 It's interesting that the Apple phone was actually rendering warmer colors than the Samsung, which is usually NOT the case. It really goes to show how far they've come with photo color accuracy over the last few years!

But you are the tech chap, and we have trust in you. inquiring minds want to know about more than just about the top two selling flagships, to make an informed decision. thanks.
I like the iphone footage and pictures. They are less sharpening, natural looking and have less contrast which is a good thing btw. And ya iPhone's audio quality is far superior too...😅
I think you're biased towards iPhone not sure why though. Proof: at 5:35 I can clearly see grains over that car's black window, and you said iPhone's image has better quality, I mean come one Note 10+ image is pretty clean and vivid whereas iPhone's is dull and grainy. Don't throw "personal preference" under the bus as no one in their right mind will pick grainy image over clear one.
I really disagree, I think the iPhone shot looks more natural with the colors and exposure on my face, and the bright screen at the back right is not blown out on the iPhone. I don't seem to be able to give credit to the iPhone without it being suggested I'm bias/paid. But of course it it's my own opinion
@@Thetechchap I am not accusing you of being paid because I am subscribed to for a long time now and I know your reviews are pretty good. Not sure which bright screen are you talking about the image was shot in portrait mode so you won't see any details anyways. For me, they are both great. They both have some little edge sometimes depending on the situation but all in all, the are both awesome. The Note 10+ just have some more advantages over the iPhone like the ultra wide camera angle and the super steady mode when recording videos, and also the boceh effect.
Basically, the two have great smartphone cameras. Basically all recent flagship smartphone cameras are great with one slightly outperforming the others in one area and vice versa.
Daylight = Xs Nighttime = note10 There’s some jelly effect on the front video of Note10, none on Xs. Also Xs translates human skin color better and more true to life, while Note10 continues Samsung’s trait of producing brighter photos. But anyway either of which will be fine, even if none will surpass Pixel 2/3 or Huawei P30 Pro level.
Xs translates human skin colour better and more true to life? iPhones have been having this weird orange tinge on people's skin for a while so I'm not sure what you are talking about. I can easily know when a pic is taken with an iphone because of that (unedited, of course).
@@robhughes8516 Actually it is an opinion. It greatly depends on what you want and need. After all the iPhone still offers better video quality and better HDR is good lightning conditions. The only place where the Note offers better HDR as seen in the video is in low light. But everywhere else the iPhone's HDR is still unmatched. And that is not only in Photos with good lightning conditions but also in video with both good and low light. That really helps when editing photos. That over sharpening is not great when editing photos either. The iPhone is still giving you more options in editing that's why is still picked by the professional photographers.

@Sinisa Ruzicic "pissed on" is a stretch but pretty good consider the XS is just under a year old, they should throw in the note 9 for shits and giggles.
6:57 It is interesting. Popular RUclipsrs mainly comparing smartphone cameras on their channel still use mirrorless cameras such as Sony A7III and Lumix GH5 for quality works. But, majority of smartphone camera users think that carrying a bigger camera than a smartphone is out-of date because smartphone camera can do everything such as bokeh and zooming.
thanks for this, was amazing to watch. But there is some flaws. One example at 4:39 you completely missed the point. Note10+ has the yellow light visible on the left just close to the subject, which results in overexposure on the foreground (the guy and the other objects on the left), thus more noisy and less sharp. The only reason here why iphone looks better is because the TEST is FAULTY here. I barely agree on some of other statements for portraits also : sometimes note10+ looks better, less burnt or smoothed, the blurr is more accurate also ; it depends on the shots but i'd say they are pretty up par.
Are you guys shooting on the same day? I watched both supersaf's and mrwhosetheboss's camera camera comparison. And when I saw this video, I recognized both of their videos! It was funny!
To my eyes... I do like more the note 10 photos... iPhone ones are extremely soft and flat, those photos are perfect for editing but Samsung ones looked like final edited photos, I do like more the colors and contrast on the note. It is a matter of taste but to me the note is the winner but what happened to the audio? Does your test unit comes with defective mics? Do you wet the phone? Samsung mics never, I mean never sound that bad because they use one of the most advenced mics on the insdustri, just a bit behind the iPhone but this test was awful like filming with pretty cheap and crappy mics... Mi note 9 mics sounds incredible with a huge DR... Now I'm concerned about getting the note 10 due to that crappy mics I hope it is a failure demo unit because in some other reviews the mics sounded great

How is bright better??
You clearly are the fan
Saying "only" makes it an understatement come on man haha 😂
This sharper vs softer debate is ridiculous.
The iPhone shows better bitrate, dynamic range, keeps wider fov on main camera, microphones sound nicer whereas Samsung has gone for the feature of having “audio zoom”.
n10 edges xs max due to extra feature(wide angle etc) but for purely Point&Shoot, the xs max produce much better photo
I'm afraid Galaxy Note 10 Plus blows iPhone XS Max out of the water, Galaxy it's far superior in my opinion.

The color accuracy of the photos on the Note 10 is pretty bad. I don't know why but.. till now, none of Samsung's phones had good color accurate pictures. Only iPhones' Cameras could capture pictures with true and realistic colors.

The winner: every flagship phone camera nowadays. The differences are so small, all that’s left is the tribal fighting over brands.

@@hienho15
For still I liked the P30 Pro Photos the most probably.

I’m surprised how iphone microphone are better than note (not counting the part where you accidentally covered it on note)
I’m debating leaving Apple for the note but I take a lot of selfies and the front camera didn’t do it for me 🤦🏾♀️
What?? Your observations are just opposite of what I see in photos
Good observation. So do I.👍
This just reaffirms it.

But of course it it's my own opinion

thanks for this, was amazing to watch.

To my eyes...
