Seems like a cultural difference in relation to beauty, not to go bring out stereotypes but Western culture tends towards a warmer skin tone look as displayed on the iPhone where as in Eastern culture a paler look would be prefered. In my opinion both cameras are great and don't have that much difference between them in regards to the details that is captured. The right filter on each phone can tweak them towards the look you would go for...
Note 10 is better in every situation & especially at night. Now with nightmode, it has better brightness, detail and highlight control at night than XS. Iphone just has the better video at night, in my opinion. And please, the skin tones on iphone are straight outta Trump's genes !
Note 10+ hands down especially nightshots. Even Note 9 is better overall than the iPhone Xs Max. I don't know why people keep insisting that the skin tone is better on the iPhone with that constant orange tinge. I can easily know when a picture is taken with an iPhone because of that.
It should be no surprise that the Note 10 series does a lot of things better than the iPhone Xs Max given the Note 10 series is a newer phone. I'd like for you to do another comparison whenever the iPhone 11 comes out. I really really hope that Apple doesn't disappoint.

I hate oversharpening that smartphone manufacturers apply on images. The only phones that sometimes oversharpens but doesn't look bad are the pixel phones. I was so disappointed with my oneplus 6's camera but after using gcam mod I am slightly satisfied now😒
Im Note fan, but I have to give it to the iPhone. Better colors, dynamic range... I dont like the oversharpening that Note do all the time.,but love the wide angle camera, its tough decision

So I walked into bestbuy here FULLY expecting to walk out with a Samsung note 10+, but, curiosity got the better of me and I started playing around with the iPhone 11 pro max and was extremely impressed with the camera. Usually I make cracks about iPhone's cameras but I must say it impressed me so much I walked about with nothing, because I couldn't decide. When I was testing them in store taking videos and pictures and whatnot(hard to do with anti theft tethers) the iPhone 11's camera was so good and clear and crisp compared to the s10 note plus. Now I'm looking up comparison videos and they both seem really good. That that ultra wide 4k looks pretty winning, as well as the image stabilization. REally good in depth review, thanks you. Still completely undecidied. lol.
FYI: Apple iPhone ISP could render real time HDR, and that's the reason why the exposure on iPhone always consistance. where on the Note 10+ it only active when it needed. And the smart HDR active when there's a high contras scene between highlight and shadow. but when it compare with HDR on the Note 10+ iPhone is loosing behind.

At a point he even mentioned that for an overall camera performance he would pick the note 10 but some people are clearly biased on hating apple.

Who else is taking over 300 images to compare? Who else is analyzing this deep into multiple images? I am talking the good and the bad for each phone. Just because you don’t get the answer you want in a video automatically I am a “Apple Fanboy”. Add some actual facts and substance to your comments besides calling someone a fanboy. It takes time and effort to do these comparisons and multiple days and nights to obtain and edit these videos.

Yea and there is even a Pro camera mode and when you take a picture you get the JPG file and the RAW file which is actually a big deal for me (Lightroom user) :)

Said that in the very beginning. Most people don’t have time to adjust settings. Just best to use pro mode with Auto just to be able to shoot in RAW. This is a basic auto test.

I had when I have not got the note 10 yet because I'm still deciding about the hole punch and the middle it does kind of annoy me when you're watching videos but there is a feature in the settings were you can hide the circle

As a guy that used to make black and white photography on a film I strongly disagree with all that wide sensor thingy. It seems so artificial and distorted that it makes me sick.
I can see what you mean but you don’t have to use it. It’s just there when you need it. When you need to take that group photo and get the entire background or take a picture in a close spot it really is handy. I personally love it.
The note 10 makes you look better though. Its brighter & more clear. Back camera capture more detail than the iPhone. Less wrinkles with that camera as well. IPhone shows flaws too much on the front camera and seems a little blurry at times too

But, at the end of day, I need the realness that the iPhone’s camera shoots. At the beginning though, the sound quality was won by the Note 10.
There are moments where the two really do trade blows in day time. Samsung wins more battles in low light. But overall i'm impressed the XS Max is still able to even be relevant considering its age.
I don't why but phones perform different while competing against different rivals! The same Note 10 in other videos looks extremely well exposed and natural but here that's not the case
All depends on lighting conditions and area too I guess but I guarantee no other reviewer is matching up the amount of images I do. I have a 100 more I didn’t even include. I make sure what I am saying is accurate by the amount of images I take side by side.

Future Note 10+ user here. I have to give props to Apple for doing a great job on HDR and color reproduction.

Both have pros and cons! I like 80% note 10+ images , 15% iPhone images & 5% tie. IMO, Note 10+ won!

I don't see any over sharpening on my Note 9. In fact, in a lot of cases I edit the pics to make them a little bit sharper.

Both is the winner. Some scenery, iPhone was great and Galaxy Note also was great.

Note 10+ has more contrast and saturation. iPhone XS Max is more gloomy and a little bit more realistic.

All depends on lighting conditions and area too I guess but I guarantee no other reviewer is matching up the amount of images I do. I have a 100 more I didn’t even include. I make sure what I am saying is accurate by the amount of images I take side by side.
