  • The method doesn't change a lot between left and right baskets/drogues, neither from A or B variants of the Tomcats available.
    From the 3 steps to connect the probe to the drogue/basket, if you fail to connect, restart from step number 1. It is always better and time efficient to reset and stabilize before trying once more, as in everything in life.

    Good video. Might note that wings swept to "Bomb" will keep them from moving. 2. The extended probe causes the A/C to Yaw to the right due to drag. Being a direct control A/C one must keep the ball centered. Trim the ball to center. (In controls, switch aileron trim to rudder. You don't need aileron trim in the Tomcat, but you do need rudder trim). Doing this will help you make contact. 3. Selecting A/A will clean up the HUD. Use the rudder and not aileron to move laterally when in close. Side note: Lead turns with rudder. Works also with new F-4E too. Adverse Yaw is not your friend.
