I've found Jester to be far superior to human rio in all a2g roles with the lantirn. He can spot through clouds, at ridiculous ranges, and keep that track far steadier than any human I've flown with.
Yeah, I understand people's frustration with the air to air aspect of jester, because to be fair it isn't exactly intuitive l. but if they would just play around with him a little more before giving up they would have benefited greatly.
@@TacticalWestOfficial I'm watching because hopefully I'll learn something but I have almost no problems with him as long as I'm staying on top of controlling him and that's for A2A. A2G is really easy with him. I've only found one human RIO that was better than jester for A2A because they would click things as I started to open my mouth and I realized he knew what to do before I was going to ask him
Here are some of my tips (a jester main): 1. I prefer target aspect beam. You loose some detection range but it is still beyond 75nm so doesn't matter, but gain better lock/tws stability and don't bother with that switch anymore 2. My go-to workflow is tws manual-pick a target-tws auto to silently track it-stt if needed. Tws auto really looses its mind when it sees a lot of targets so i mostly use tws manual 3. I've binded tid range 50 and 100 to hotas because they are the most useful and i want a fast way to switch between them 4. I've binded lock a target and lock an enemy target to a hotas so if there's only one target in sight i can quickly tell jester to lock it 5. If the enemy is closer than 20nm don't bother with jester at all. PAL is your best friend there
I'm curious about why you would STT lock a target 69nm away when you could TWS launch and avoid announcing the lock and launch on his RWR? I suppose TWS is more prone to dropping due to various Doppler Filter shortcomings and you can mitigate it a little with an STT lock.
Absolutely, I'll go into that in my next video. I will be finished my HSC at the end of next week, so I can start making content again. But for now, plt mode is a CCIP equivalent, manual is for laser guided bombs when using the lantirn. And if I remember correctly tgt is ccrp on a specific set of coordinates. But you'll have to look that one up, I personally haven't used it yet.
@@TacticalWestOfficial I tried looking for it but so far except for you I haven’t found anyone else having this issue. I even asked on Hoggit discord and they didn’t know how to do it
@@bmb0053 if you are using MT, jester view is glitched. It only works on the non-MT version. If you are on the non-MT version, check the special options tab
This video was designed for people who already know how to utilise jester menu and are looking for tips on how to better utilise him. May I suggest Chuck's guide. It's a great manual and everything is layed out well
You need a Rio use the tomcat effectively. he has the radar, you don't. If you have a mate with the tomcat he can be the rio which is amazing. So jester is useful if you have no mates to fly the tomcat with, but having a mate rio with you I'd a completely different realm and it's far superior. Makes the tomcat module feel completely different
Or you could just kill ‘em before he boards the airframe
noo, dont kill jester!

really informative, thanks so much!
Glad I could help ya
Great video, clears up a lot of confusion I had with jester
Glad you liked it!

I normally would use tws, but for the sake of simplicity in the video I chose to use stt
Hope you found this helpful.
GREAT video especially o that AA use of jester
Thanks mate!
Thanks for the guide.
No problem man.
Thanks for the tutorial! Can you please explain what are the bomb delivery modes? what does cmp/tgt plt ip and man and when should you choose each?

@@TacticalWestOfficial much obliged!
Alright, your video idea is next
Could you go a little faster with the commands? I almost caught one or two of them. A full zero commands absorbed would be perfect.
Sorry you feel that way mate.
Do you maybe know the solution to making Jester visible in the middle of the menu? Because I see you've got the same issue as me.
hmm, I can take a look for you.

Hi Jester :)
Jester 2.0 hopefully will be able to say hi back.
@GrowlingSidewinder
🤣 Why are you pinging GS?
@@TacticalWestOfficial for the pvp kkkk
@@TacticalWestOfficial LOL, maybe there’s a way to prevent Jester from punching out and turning the F-14 into a convertible?
