Great advice Samy. Personally I found an e-sim a real pain to load, but maybe that's just me. Trying to follow the instructions on your phone while loading it on your phone was a bit tricky. I didn't do it properly and ended up with a $300 bill from my home provider. Just a heads up! Physical sims have more peace of mind for me.
I thought the same but I’m also oldschool. I have so many friends telling me how much they love the e-sim cards I think it’s getting easier and better. I regretted it so much not getting one when I had 36 hours in Korea and SIM cards were 21 usd on the airport so I just didn’t get it. There I could have got a quick 1 gb as a e sim
@@socialsamy I'm also oldschool too😄. But I used E-sim for the first time about 2 month ago in Oman and Malaysia and I love it, because you don't have to worry buying a Sim card at the airport. My Phone (oldschool again🤪) doesn't support Esim but a adapter (bought online from china) made it possible. However, I think if someone stays longer in a country a local Sim card is better and cheaper.

As far as Halo fly is concerned how do you go about that is it something as a transfer device for a number and then you just get that number through viatel or do you directly deal with Halo fly? And as far as the ATM is concerned was there a service charge and how much was it?
Hola fly is a esim provider that gives you the chance to get a esim before hand right when you land :) in the most countries in the world. With that you can deal with all on your phone in the app and don’t have to go anywhere it’s also unlimited data which can be very important for heavy user. This atm I showed has no fees it’s VP Bank :) you just have to see what your local bank is charging to withdraw money or if it’s also free.

Samy. Does Da Nang have electronic/computer stores there? I will need to purchase an extra monitor for remote work when I visit. Otherwise, I will need to pack one.
They do have lots of proper electronic stores and second hand ones. but also online shopping like lazada(for electronics) Fb marketplace is also good to get a monitor or fb groups with digital nomads sell their second screen before leaving :) I always buy branded electronics with Fpt it’s a very big company and super legit. Take a look at with prices if it makes sense fptshop.com.vn

That’s a very good question Dean! I will make a full video on that with several options I learned last week from my friend. The way I do important landline calls like banking etc to Germany is: I have a German SIM card still in my second phone but I have it in airplane mode that allows me to call and sms using “WIFI CALLING” just like I’m in Germany without having to pay anything. There are apps that allow to do that too. But have to try them first. Viettel has options for calling but I didn’t look into it closer which I will do in a more in depth video all about telecommunications.
@@sbkpilot1 western places and convenience store usually take credit card payment and Apple Pay I assume those terminals take also google pay but local places only take cash or Vietnamese bank transfer through the the code system.
You should put sunscreen on your wound once it’s ok to put it. Confirm with your doctor whether you can start to put it before you first apply it. Put sunscreen religiously for two years even you have your clothes on.
@@socialsamy Be careful to let wound stay away from water until it's healed. Also pay attention to hygiene. Wash your hands when applying ointment. You can use medical grade cotton buds that are sealed in small packages. Nutrition are very important too. Crabs are very good for skin.

There is no reason for Viettel. I’m pretty sure all big telecommunication companies are the same. Yet when I had another card it stopped working and customer service in English not existing 😂 I only recommend Viettel cause my fiancé and I have it and I can deal with everything on the app without ever having to go there anymore. You can buy sim cards everywhere I just want a SIM card for longterm I was even able to choose my own number 1.5 years ago :))

That comes up to your bank you have to ask that there are a lot of credit cards that doesn’t charge you anything. Really depends on your country and credit card offers :)

Not really a scam just a premium for the convenience. Just like the coconuts: In the local market they cost 40cents cold ready to drink and at the beach bar $3 :) Thailand actually does exactly the same. Tourist packages at the airport are also way overpriced instead of buying a stand alone sim at a 7Eleven and charging it in the app :) All about convenience service and ease. And as a tourist I rather pay for that than do it myself for me now I have a Thai sim and Vietnamese. For travel somewhere else I probably will do ESIM from now it’s so much easier for quick trips :)
They had to cut out my gallbladder filled with 158 stones in there 🥹 I will share my experience when I’m totally healthy and also find out if my health insurance will pay for it. That will be a very informative important video

You can ask internet password from staff of any cafe shop,hotel,restaurant... in Da Nang city to access internet. No problem😊

@@XtraHidary it resets everyday. What you can do is have a smaller daily amount and top up with a 1gb 5000 don’t via the Viettel app
when you use credit card at atm for cash, does bank charge advance fee?
That comes up to your bank you have to ask that there are a lot of credit cards that doesn’t charge you anything. Really depends on your country and credit card offers :)

They give up to 20m and as far as I know any VP ATM one.

Yes not on the Vietnamese side just check with your bank and credit card provider
If you you VP bank atm with your N26 card does that mean you have no fees?
Correct if your bank doesn’t charge you fees this Vietnamese ATM/Bank won’t either.
