Thanks for your awesome informative video. I was just looking at the Keltec RFB Hunter (24") today and it sparked my interest. I was looking for a Tavor 7 but here in Alberta, Canada they are hard to find, not to mention more expensive that the Keltec.
Oh awesome! I'm glad there was some useful info. I imagine the Tavor7 isn't easy to find here either.Hasnt been out long. So..how much is an Rfb vs a Tavor7 in Canada? Last I heard the Rdb (556 keltec) was 1500
You have the gas adjustment backwards in this video as well. Please send me the manual you're reading from, it's clearly different from all the ones I have seen. I have a second gen, titanium nitride treated bolt with 40 position gas system. B+12 my gun does not lock back 147gr. Tightening it to b+10 as the manual dictates, tightening gas adjuster increases gas, it will then lock back. I'm not seeing how you're getting it backwards?
Do we agree the goal is to get the gun to fail to lock back and then go the opposite way to ensure reliable cycling? Would you agree the rifle in my video is correctly calibrated for the ammunition its using? Bottom (tightening) is closed. Opposite (loosening) opening the adjuster. In my case My manual does state to start at B+10 then turn the knob clockwise to B+9 if its not locking open. If our only disagreement is what is more or less gas Ill concede that because its not super clear in the manual which is which only the opening or closing of the adjuster.
@@Odinforever2000 I agree, the goal is to get the rifle to fail to lock back, and add the specified amount of gas the manual dictates (two click clockwise, tightening, increasing the gas) if you've been following the manual the way you described, then yes you have calibrated it correctly, most people calibrate it the way you do. If you read what I just copy pasted straight from the manual, you'll see it says to tighten the adjuster clockwise (looking from the front of the gun) two clicks, increasing the gas to the correct amount. Threading the adjuster in increases gas, unthreading the adjuster decreases gas.
@@Odinforever2000 bottomed out is not the gas closed off, but it closes the vent for the gas system. Bottomed out is the maximum amount of gas. Then tighten two more clicks for reliability sake, increasing gas.

As I've been researching the RFB before buying I've found that the 18" black comes in two SKU: 640832003178 and 640832007381.
