Welcome to the game community of People Getting Lost In The Character Editor. ;-)
You have my respect for actually reading the abilities, I see so many people make simple mistakes that could’ve been prevented with a small amount of reading words.
Far too many click off instructions, then complain that they dont know what they are doing and claim the game is too hard, when it tried REALLY hard to explain it to them if they'd simply pay attention.
The best way I found of describing the game while trying to talk someone into playing it was: "Well.... It's like a normal game, but for combat it's like every now and then you have to stop and have a game of chess."
You did a rather common mistake with your stats. You don't need to have a little of everything, in D&D(and Baldur's Gate) it's generaly expected that the group cover each other weakness. For example you had low intelligence, keep a wizard around. Also as you saw with the brain there is a lot of option for doing something, the game doesn't expect one character to do everything. Players typically choose one or two "Dump stats", a stat which they sacrifice to improve the others.

You can respect at camp around 8th level or earlier
Agreed, because you're rolling around with a party of 4 and not alone, you get to make up for your party members weaknesses and vice versa.
@richardmckinnon8791 You can respec as soon as you get Withers at camp, which can be as early as level 2.

One other thing, Druids get a lot of good/thematic magical items available to them early on. Always keep an eye out for magic staves. Many of them will give you a free casting of a spell or two, same with rings and necklaces you'll find around the world. Since you're a High Elf and a spellcaster, there's a magic Longbow called Spellthief that you can buy from a Halfling merchant early on (he's likely the first you'll meet). It's a great backup if you run out of spell slots because if you land a critical hit with it, it restores a 1st level spell slot. There are a few magical Hide Armors that work well for Druids, too.
Hopefully you've gotten to respec by now. How the D&D stat system works is that your stats in each ability can range from 1-20 under normal circumstances. The closer to 20, the better. That being said, the important thing is that each score confers a modifier to dice rolls. Every two points above ten adds another +1 to the related skills and such.
As a Druid, Wisdom is your most important ability score. It affects Perception, Animal Handling, Insight, Survival, and Medicine. All very good skills. It also affects how effective your spells are, including Shillelagh which makes your staff use your Wisdom for attack and damage instead of your Strength.
Constitution is another important stat (I almost never have it below 14) because it increases your health and your saves for maintaining concentration on spells.
Dexterity isn't super useful for a Druid, but it does affect your Armor Class. Since Druids can use Medium Armor, you can get away with keeping your Dexterity at 12 to 14 (Medium Armor's total AC is whatever that armor is plus maximum of +2 from your Dex). Druids are also proficient with Shields, which give you another +2 to your AC.
All that being said, when you get the chance to respec, there should be a button that says Recommended or whatever for your stats. Should work perfectly well.

Playing with a controller makes camera control way easier than mouse and keyboard but mouse and keyboard is easier during fights and clicking things. I prefer controller, they’re very different experiences
I prefer controller because of the way my setup is, it hurts my back to use keyboard and mouse. But I also just like the controller version more hahaha
I know this is an old video, but the game looks significantly harder with a controller, keyboard and mouse is 100% the way to go.
The fact that my first character looks almost exactly the same and it’s also a Druid is a bit wild to me 😂

ETA: I appreciate that you read the tutorials and text on screen, especially since this is a very new genre for you. So many streamers just ignore all the text and it drives me mad!

That isn’t a great source to see what are the best classes. People are picking high charisma classes due to social interactions and awareness of companions. One main companion is a cleric for example. So you don’t “need” another cleric. There are also two Druid companions, though they are later on in the game. Being able to speak to animals is another key trait.
yet another playthrough where the person just ignores the character introductions... I feel bad for the animators and voice actors I imagine they worked very hard on those character introductions
Don't play so close to character! You miss (otherwise) a lot, such as boxes with valuable content!

Sorry! Habit. I don’t like staying quiet in streams because people drop out if you’re not talking, but then on the RUclips side, people prefer less talking over the dialogue haha so it’s a hard balance
@AnOddArchival I get it. I'd say that even on RUclips we like to hear you talk, but in a game like this, we want to see you reacting actively to the dialog. Plenty of other time to talk. Best of luck
