Prefer having + mapped at R, and Y mapped at L. much faster to switch on smart steering and motion. Only works if you esclusively use ZL and ZR for items and drift.
BTW: was fun competing in Celestial Spring, hope there are more to come!

Is it possible to map the ZR button to the menu where you put on stuff like smart steering because I never use it and hate pressing the little button on the controller for smart steering
Yes, i use it and it is super fast to turn on smart steering and motion glider
yes it is, you can map any button to any button for a pro controller, however, it's previous usage of the button can't be used anymore

Always enjoy watching your videos. I watch a few different players who seem to be expert level including you, JPGivener, shortcut, Liam etc. Is there really better players out there when you get to your level? It seems there’s nothing technical you could do better along with the other racers I mentioned. Do you get to the point where it really is about the randomness of the pulls you are getting? Are there players out there who are always going to win if you played out a 24 race match for example? I’ve watched so many competitive RUclipsrs like you and it really seems you guys are all at the level where there’s nothing left to improve and more so comes down to the luck of what weapons you are getting. If there are differences in terms of the best of the best, what are they consistently doing that someone a step below them may not be doing? Thoughts?

I would agree with that. Anyhow taking him off the list, I’ve seen gyrodos/GIvener race together which brings me back to my main point. Are there differences in levels when people like this are playing? I’ve seen multiple different lists stating different players are the best in the world but are they, or is it coming down to randomness of the item boxes? Kasaan, Alberto, Vincent, Army Pii…. If all of them raced together
, would it come down to whoever got better pulls?

Why not use a game cube controller instead of switching motion controls on and off? I'm not really familiar with the pros and cons of the game cube vs the pro controller, but I've heard good things about the game cube controller.
I may or may not have "bought" a gamecube controller for a future video, but don't tell anyone 🤫

the secret is if lakitu is on your screen with the reverse arrow you have a time limit to get him off, it's around 2.5 seconds or so. You get him to go off your screen by (kinda) going sideways

2:32 the reason the items work like that on baby park is because the item sets are moving so it constantly registers the item boxes as a new set. Same thing on snow land
that's not what I meant from what I was saying, I was trying to say instead of getting a bad item going backwards, it seems like you get a bad item when you go back forwards which is basically the opposite of the way Nintendo wanted to program it.
