The writer of the book, Frank Herbert, spent almost a year with the Muslim tribes in the Middle East and brought their language and culture into the Dune series. Salaam mate.

@@OmarAlsaadi40, I thin you'll find Spencer (the author of the book) took a lot of inspiration from Islam and Arabic culture in general when you see the second film. It is a deeper dive into the mindset of religion, and hos religion can be both used and abused. Oh, and this movie is a visual masterpiece!

That's not the Emperor, but Baron Harkonnen.. the Sardaukar are the army of the Emperor, they help out the Harkonnens, but the Emperor himself you will meet in part 2.

@@OmarAlsaadi40 Yeah, it's not clearly explained in this movie, but there are several Houses (like Harkonnen and Atreides) which control parts of the galaxy. The Emperor, who is above the Great Houses but not all-powerful, has the strongest army. This army, and constant political scheming keep him in power. With knowing this, you'll enjoy part 2 way better ;) I hope you go watch it soon, it's so good 👍

So regarding the similarities to Islam... - the Fremen are sometimes also referred to as Zensunni Wanderers - the author decades ago conceived them branch of the Sunni's with influences of Zen Bhuddism sprinkled in... so there will be a lot of thing you might pick up on that the general audience might not.
Yeah true I might notice a lot of stuff as a Muslim, but i also heard that dune part 2 is way more religious right?

the fat floating guy is not the emperor it is the Baron Harkonnen. You don't see the Emperor until part 2.

To be honest I can’t argue there, I made some points about the similarities between Islam and dune but yeah I should’ve said more, I’ll try my best on the next one!!
Dune predates Star wars. It written in the 1960s. read the book first THEN watch the films it will make much more sense!
Yeah I know I heard also that anakin Skywalker was inspired by Paul, and I will definitely watch the movie again after reading the book!
