How you captured Hardwired’s nuances in this video is literally indescribable. The way you added some lead after the first verse resembling Atlas, Rise! and Halo On Fire in a way. The chorus, The Random Ass Solo, the way you ended the song, the same way it starts. All accumulates into a masterpiece. Really looking forward to this season of What If?

that lux aterna kind of intro is exactly how master of puppets would have been written if it was written on the hardwired album, amaizing work!
That little snare hit that hits all on It's own here and there, is Hardwired Lars perfection.
I know the puppets and Justice guitar tones are the ones everyone talks about, but this one is just so great in a mix
they talk abot ajfa and mop tones cause they kinda suck this one is agreed upon to be pretty good but just a little dry.

Mercury, you did it again 👏 you have blown my mind once again with this amazing arrangement. The intro is superb, and the vocal mix is on point 🤘 I love the whole composition
I love how drum-forward this mix is, it accentuates the guitar perfectly. The Hardwired embellishments that you put in the song are way more tasteful and way better written than Hardwired-proper and, for some unknown reason, this mix simultaneously sounds *exactly* like Hardwired to Self Destruct, but also 10x better than Hardwired.
Amazing work, as usual.
The basic Kirk wah filled solo replacing the unique original solo was the cherry on top for this sounding exactly like a HWSD track

Holy fackin shit man, this is incredible! The tone of course, but even more the re-writing , the new drum parts, how this could really fit perfectly with modern-day Metallica, etc. This is really one of your best, an exceptional cut, in a stream of amazing reworks.
Okay 4:00 to 4:30 genuinely goes so fucking hard that it's not even funny. More than just a fun "what if" scenario, it was a 30 second range where I was like "Damn, I wish this was actually in the song"

My two cents:
Let me just start out by saying I hope you are doing good in life and that everything is going just fine.
Now with that out of the way, here's my analysis. First off, you did a really good job with the vocals, I love how you isolated them and compressed them to make them attack more, bleeding into the mix. It sounds so natural and perfect. The Munch and crunchy chainsaw tone of the guitars just really match the vibe of the album. The booming pop of the drums sound amazing to my ears. The Vocals are phenomenal, I am blown away at your talent and ability to separate the vocals and make them fit into the song without breaking out of the mix.
I absolutely loved the way you shaped the song into an interpretation of what it would sound like on Hardwired To Self Destruct is just mind blowing.

Damn, good job dude. Love the way you used a NTWD style chorus riff, and the bridge riff was similar to Moth's bridge. Also lol @ how well you nailed Kirk's current lead style. (Ah, how far he's fallen...) What did you do for the vocals? Was that from a live performance and run through filters?
Your videos are fucking superb... I need more of these videos, old Metallica songs in the new album styles and new Metallica songs in the old album styles are the best. I think the bigger gap in time between the styles the better and more interesting, Like taking a song from ...and justice and putting it in the black album style is a lot less interesting for example. Keep making these though this is fantastic.
yeah, while I definitely agree the new to old model is more fun for a lot of fans, but I also love being the one guy that doesn't mind throwing the new spin on the old stuff. That being said, based on your comment I should have some stuff coming soon you'll enjoy af :)

Bad F'ing A$S!!!! As an old school Metallica fanatic (listening since '84, obsessed since '88) I have to say, I was extremely and pleasantly surprised by what I heard on this video. I thought this was just going to be another remix of the original song with some changes in tones or speeds. I wasn't expecting a full cover of the song, by an awesome band, who completely revamped the song to match "Hardwired"'s style! Again, F'ing AWESOME!!!! I'm blown away!
