I just build some 2 way system with retro alnico LA 12" & the horn's. So thanks for the research in this direction it comes in very handy with all the info about construction. W.E. deserves respect for your Vintage ideas. :)
Great video, great speakers, totally fun build. I love what you've been going. I agree that it's a really cool approach to making great sound, by using simple materials to solve acoustical problems by using smart design. And spray paint, fking love spray paint and making cool finishes. I just finished my most recent baffle (for an Eminence 12" coax w/ JBL compression driver) to look like ancient bronze that's been through a few things... Cheers!
Impressive man! I like that you did it all at home without use of a professional cabinet shop. Keep it up, there’s obviously big money in building custom speakers.
all of that work, and you use low end compression drivers with a low end response of 800Hz??? get some better comp. drivers that play dow to your horn cut off range, and sound would improve... just a thought....
Would love to make this what are the materials you use and compression drivers, what are your crossover points and watts you using is that thin plywood you use for your horns please let me know want to start this project now.
Hi. I think you have more then enough in this video. I've just show everyone what i got in many years of trying to get better so i think you have to use you'r ideas aswell
What a very good and happy job. I suppose those speakers sound amazing. Lot of work! The crossovers that you are using are a generic one or it were calculated to your horns speakers? Greetings from Venezuela!!
Great video really ! i love your creations. I am partial to circular horns ... when i see a rectangular/square section horn i remained perplexed. I do not mean they are not good but they look not right to me. The driver is circular so also the horn should have a similar shape like in Avantgard or Acapella speakers i mean. What do you think ? Another issue could be time alignment between horns of different length ... i believe in time alignment P.S. By the way ... what is happened at 6:03 to the sound ? just a curiosity.
you aren't doing yourself any favors, by using 2x6 piezo plastic horns, with a sudden expansion rate flare for 2KHz, and then, feeding that sudden flare into your section of the horn.......the first 2 feet are critical for correct expansion, as that section is under the highest compression..that sudden flare at the front, and then into the correct section you made causes reflections back into the driver... It's nice, I'm not knocking it, but it could be so much better with some more work...
Well done,I am sure Western Electric would be proud of you.
my favorite youtube vid of all times.
Thank you! Have a look, there are more nice ones on my channel and subscribe for even more!

Cool dance moves man, great speakers too
Great effort. Sound is not bad as I’m listening on an iPad!
Thank you!
Impressed
Put some acoustic absorbers on wall to eliminate room revibration...
I wish I could hear these in person
Love the video thanks for sharing your talent.

That's life 👍🏼
I would love to have this audio system in my living room.
Wow nice.
0:39 i pressed like lol
Bravo man . Foarte tare !!!!! Am învățat o grămadă de chestii in 5- 10 min de cand ma uit la tine . Sper sa continui cu canalul .

Rocking out to Joe Jackson! Awesome!

What's the name of the track playing through your very cool speakers? It's very catchy.

Lot of work for average sounding speakers. Maybe it's just the microphone you recorded with. Good skills though.
Are u serious, there is no way of judging it by listening through compressed audio format of RUclips and non pro mic for recording
can YOU talk to us about the mid-high and high drivers?
CLEAN THAT RECORD FOR GOD SAKES!!!
try building a double reentrant horn
What a very good and happy job. I suppose those speakers sound amazing. Lot of work!

Greetings from Venezuela!!
Saludos desde Venezuela!!
Thank you! The crossovers have been bought first and then the speakers using the parameters from them, hello from London!

Until that point the soud was coming from the speaker and then after the sound was added at the video edit
Beatifull but you have the calculator programm For have the right dimension horn?
No. I make them using my own ideas on design and then i modify them until they give the sound that i want
is it just my impression that the microphone or its placement actually "spoils" the sound a lot ? or is it the recording ... ??
It was just the gopro mic.. and is not great quality
Can they compete with Jbl Paragon?
Did you use a plan or did you just invent these speakers without a plan?
No. Is my own design, inspired by Western Electric
Have a look in my videos, you gonna find some other design aswell for some smaller ones, again, my design
What msterial do you use?
Hardboard, mdf, wood glue, steples, spray paint as finish with a coat of varnish.
Maybe u should advertise making custom horns.... people spending $15k on one horn...
Easy... wish. ..almost thought u used top of a jug at first haha that's too easy
parece que se escucha dentro de un tubo, ese es el problema del horn
what crossovers are those? Do you have a link for them?
맛이 갔네 . 내랑 비슷하네 ㅎㅎ
No crees que antes de hacer toda esa parafernalia inútil es mejor y más barato limpiar tus discos y cambiar ese horrible plato?
Was gonna purchase, but then you started dancing. Bad financial choice.
😂
