Funny you list every force I own with the Japanese being my newest and it was by mistake as I won an Island Assault box for being best sportsman at a local tournament. But by far my Germans are the largest at about 7,000 points total if I break them down to about 8 to 10 man squads and all the support and vehicles (24) I have for them, then next is the Soviets at about 5,500 and 19 vehicles followed by my Japanese 4,000 and finally US 3,700 points. And I really do have a lot of the weird stuff and nasty things like the IS-3 which is just a total monster with that DV 12 on the nose and my newly painted up 3D Sturmtiger.
I suggest the Army Support boxes that way you get your officers, then a MMG, Medic, forward observer and finally the medium mortar all together and so can cover most of the HQ section.

Some good points raised. I did have a chuckle about the 'buy a truck ':) I've lost count the number of times I've brought this up (even this week with a newbie at the club). They'll learn.... and this brings me to the last slide. For some it's easier to blame 'the dice' rather than admit the decisions they made were off. learn from that and do something different next time.

my style has always been that "build a castle on the objectives" kind of thing. been watching a bunch of ya videos trying to figure out what best fits that style, at first i thought Italians but im getting a pretty negative vibe for them from the community :')

In defence of LMG's if you compare a 10 man squad has 10 wounds and 10 shots at 24" (100 points) to a 8 man squad with 8 wounds and 10 shots (4 at 36") (potential to overcome that long range penalty) at 100 points. I think LMG's are worth it for Germans IMHO.
