Titos partisans could definitely take a tank platoon. They had their own tanks, even their own air forces.

At least the Partisans should keep Fieldcraft and their bombs I hope.

I hope minor nations don't just become generic versions of the major armies. I like what makes them minor. I love a challenge

As someone who regularly plays against my buddy's desert Italians, I'm hoping they get a buff.

I am waiting to see how V3 treats my Greeks! Thanks for your thoughts on how minor nation game play could be changed .

I do hope that they take their time in building out themes for each of the minor nations; currently we get a lot of "copy-paste special rules, but with less options than a big nation" among the minor nations (with a few exceptions: Finland is very well done for theme and clear play style).
On the whole, though, I think the new platoon structure helps minor nations a lot: they've always had (especially for the Allies) an anti-armor issue due to limited options with low firepower, but now we have the ability to take a LOT of the limited things we have, which is very good.

Italians are ace....Im building three armies for the Russian campaign, 1 for North Africa and 1 for the east African campaign...Its a pity the EA campaign is not really covered by BA

13:13 I hope Warlord Games can go the Extra Mile and give Major and Minor Nations Rules, which can give the Players Favourite playstyle a little bonus, without being to strong.

4:30 I can understand the reasoning behind partisans not having tank platoons because they are guerilla freedom fighters but that is not the case with all partisan forces.
The Yugoslav Partisans, unlike French or Italian resistance fighters, were actually much more uniformed, structured and looked like a proper army.
The Allies actually made an agreement with the leader of the Yugoslav Partisans, Josip Broz Tito, to form a tank brigade that was to be equipped with Allied Tanks. The unit would be named The 1st Yugoslav Tank Brigade, formed on 16th July 1944. The British supplied 56 Stuart tanks, 24 Mk.II armored cars and two M3A1 scout cars. All of these would build on top of captured Stug III, Panzer II, Hetzer, Hotchkiss and Autoblindas.
Later they would be given around 30 M7 Priest and M8 Scott tanks from the Americans and with the arrival of the soviets further T-34 variants were supplied and the Yugoslavs formed a 2nd Tank Brigade. So I think it's fair to say Partisans can take a Tank Platoon. 😁

I dont know about most minor nations. But Hungary should definitely be comparable to the main 5 nations. Even if all the do is copy / paste everything from Budapest and Case Blue books.
Thought giving Hungary a better rule than "fanatic officers" is definitely a must.

I agree. Both Hungary and Italy were major military players at different points in WWII. I know they were both considered like little brothers to Germany but they were actually much more than that. BA should treat them as such

Partisans need more forward deployment, and saboteur stuff. Things that can help them vs armor. They done need to be able to kill the tanks, just delay or harass them.

Romanian and Bulgarian suffer from the difference between Theatre V Generic platoons more than any other nations plus the army books miss a lot of available equipment.

Bo, at what Point do I check morale when I use half the unit:
    1) if have 8 men, and after i loose for 4 I have to test?
    2) i have 8 man but lose each round 1 guy. When i lose 1 guy and go from 5 to 4 men, i don't have to test. Only when i lose half in 1 battleround?
Didn't find it the rule this morning in my 2nd edition rulebook.

@@dariostabletopminatures you only check if you, in a single round of shooting, loose half your unit. OR if hit by a flemthrower
