Is very sad about the loss of the Soviet Inexperienced Squad. Oh and I have played with medics... they are fun... as it gives my boys that 6 up feel no pain. Which is the only way you are getting a 'save' in Bolt Action.
I’m super nervous for V3, from all the leaks and the few battle reports online, it looks like they’ve created a WW1 game, static groups of infantry too scared to move and Mortars becoming the new spam. For me it feels like a move backwards and introducing the old 40K cover save, are Warlord attempting to poach disgruntled games workshop players?
With the shift to the new 4+ mechanic for shooting, things certainly will be more familiar for 40K players who are looking for a more stable system. I GM's a couple of 250 point games this weekend and they flowed much faster.
I’ve just cancelled my pre-order, I’ve watched loads of V3 battle reports and its time to find a new game, I’ve just found out any weapon with AP, puts a pin on Reg & inexperienced tanks, which is a move back to V1………..pants
You take airborne troops and you've not considered a medic ? You got to try it. The cost of a Fallschirmjager plus FG42 and Panzerfaust the medic has only got to save a couple of them per game and he's more than paid for himself., plus it's another dice in the bag.
My feel on mortars and spotters should be if you activate a mortar team it fires without spotting and if you activate the spotter the mortar fires where spotted. Thus in turn will mean the officer will need to snap to the spotter to get a accurate fire as activating the mortar team by itself will not call the spotter into play. Is the mortar needs to accurate fire by itself or fire with a snap to it will need line of sight.
6:50 youre right, the german commanders famously comfirmed that by stating that if the US used as much artillery as the ruskis did, theyd be in paris by now And id love to play fins with you fellas, im however on the other side of the pond
@@Immortal-ironic-fist so they are changing rapid fire for the British? Cause I swore that thier current rules is just when shooting they add dice, Dont remember anything about having to be a fire order.
And who cares its the worst British national rule... but they get to choose to not use it and use any of the other 3 much better national rules they have The U.S. is stuck with it. The other U.S. rules are garbage -Gyro-Stabilizer: Vehicles have only seen a small reduction in points -15 pts for a regular stug for example, So again Gyro-Stabilizers will be a national rule that is not used. -Air Superiority: Air support chart is still trash... so probably not used again. -Modern Communications: Very situational probably not used SWEET U.S. went from having one very good rule and 3 that didn't get used to 1 mediocre rule and 3 that won't get used...
BARs getting changed to 6 points is criminal if they don’t count towards the extra shot per three men that the new version of Fire and Maneuver gives you. At 6 points per BAR taking BARs actually REDUCES the number of shots per point the squad gets. The limiting factor for BARs was always that you can’t spam them like SMGs or Assault Rifles. Two ways to fix this: 1. BARs count towards the free extra shots. 2. BARs get three shots instead of two, but don’t count towards the extra rifle shots. If you do the math 12 men with rifles gets 16 shots for 120 points at regular. Adding two BARs but cutting out one man changes that to 122 points for 11 men, two of which have BARs. 9 rifle shots, plus 3 “extra” shots plus 4 BAR shots still equals only 16 shots, but you have one less man AND you had to pay more points. BARs are as iconic to the US as the MG-42 is to the Germans. It would really REALLY suck to see BARs become so bad.
It's so nice hearing optimism
I think that once everyone see the changes in the big picture, a vast majority will be very pleased!

Soviets seem solid the point shifts really makes up for the loss of points!
new to the game, starting up with V3. love hearing rule teases. Starting with Finnish.
Glad you like it. Stay tuned for more! Be sure to check out our store!

Gurkha were always overpowered due to getting a strong rule for free. So they won't be better now right
They are still a challenge to play against.
@mikebaker6804 I can imagine but if you wanted to buy them because they are a crutch you would have done so in v1 already
They get pushed back a bit, but are still supertroopers.
I've read that flamethrower rules have changed : 1 or 2 on a dice after firing gives out of fuel, only +2 pen. Is that right or not ?
Correct, points went up to 30, same pins, test, etc.
@@patrickballinger8537 Thank you for your answer mate. So if I understand what you call correct is : no fuel on a 1-2 and +2 pen ?

I thought that was about infantry
When pdf ?
Per the video, just released to raiders at the moment.
Launch is the 26th of Sept weekend!
Ohhh no pls no more Gurkhas! And I feel like if the Americans are losing Fire and maneuver kinda destroys it uniqueness.
Yeah, but they get the add one for every 3 rifles which might better reflect the volume of fire the M1 could lay down.
But at that point it feels like playing British is just better.
@@deathdealer0014 brits only get rapid fire on Fire order. The US gets it on Advance as well (hence the Maneuver in Fire and Maneuver)

Me too!
Medics V2 small Teams V3 easier to kill
but they still got geneva convention right?
I got the version 3 rule book I am disappointed in the quality of the paper in the book not like the old books so sad
I have noted a drop in printing quantity from WL over the years.

Nah. They keep their firepower when models start dropping. And they have longer range.
it's 1 point, not that bad, the point drop will help absorb that and still give lots of space to do more with your points.
