    Thank you for assembling this video.. One comment... those scratchy nickel signals are probably due to being in "coins" mode. How do they sound in zero mode and at the 4" depth please

      @BlazingShovelsMetalDetecting  6 лет назад

      T JRick no problem my friend! You are correct about them being scratchy because they are in coin mode. If you have it in zero mode they come through clear. So I would recommend if you come across a scratchy signal in coin mode to switch over to zero mode really quick and see if it is a solid high tone. If it has a mix of iron it will still be scratchy in zero mode. Hopefully that answer's your question.

    That was great so much help I really appreciate it and if Keno does show us some tips with the AT-PRO I actually have one of those too. I can use some tips on that machine. Anyway that was really good. You guys are super cool. I can't wait to see your next find.
    Thanks Silver King.
    PS if you ever want a guest on the show I would love to join you for a day..

      No problem my man! If you ever have any questions ever don't be afraid to ask for help and I will make a video on it. If you are asking there are probably thousands of others that have the same question. I will try to pin Keno down for a video on the at pro. He is a hard guy to get motivated but once he is it's full tilt for short bursts hahaha. That would be awesome! We would love to have you come and hunt and make a guest appearance on an episode! Where are you located?

    Thanks much for the info! I just got the Max for Christmas and need all the help I can get! This clears up a lot, but one thing I don’t understand is why the targets show up as being mainly 8” deep?

    • @BlazingShovelsMetalDetecting
      @BlazingShovelsMetalDetecting  6 лет назад +2

      No problem my friend! It takes a little while to figure out this machine but when you do it is awesome. If you use the built in pinpointer it gives you a more accurate depth. So when you find a target run the coil over it slowly in pinpoint mode from back to front and side to side. Once you get the strongest humming sound that is where the center of the target will be and then look at the depth. If you have anymore questions feel free to leave a comment and I will do my best to answer them to the best of my knowledge. thank you for watching and happy hunting. Jimi

    How much depth do you get at coin mode 44? Reason I’m asking is I hunt a 1850’s Park and 3 ringers hit between 8” to a foot down. Funny because I don’t hit much silver (not sure if the Silver hunted out) but I kill the mid tones, CW lead, Buffalos, V-nickels etc. Hoping the coin mode st 44 might help me bring out silver, but if there is silver it’s deep. Thank you for you time. Love y’alls videos.

      The depth actually doesn't change when you set it to 44. All that does is make it so that anything that reads 44 or less on your read out won't "beep". So in the case of that park I don't think it is crucial that you set it to 44 unless there are things like iron relics such as iron tools and what not that you want to find. So I would say to keep it at the factory setting of 35 at that park because I wouldn't think that there is a ton of iron there. You can actually get a little more depth in "zero" mode. It's a lot noisier do to the fact that it will pick up tiny pieces of iron at 10inchs and deeper but it will pull those deep silvers out. Just listen for the high tones and let your shovel go to work. I hope this helps you out. HH

      More then likely the park your hunting has been cherry picked over the years. The older metal detectors would put can slaw, pop can tops, and nickels in the same range in tone, people are lazy when it comes to digging trash. Keep pulling those mid tones and you will find the coins. When I first started I had a guy tell me that I wouldn't find anything in this park as he had hunted it out. My 3rd whole while he was their was a old pull tab and after re-scanning, I pulled out a 46 Rosie and a 45 Merc. He looked at me and said, huh, how I miss those. Needless to say I've pulled 4 gold rings, 13 silver rings and 51 silver coins, the biggest being a 39 walking half out of their. No park is ever hunted out, atleast until there are no signals left. The best advice I can give is dig everything and the good stuff will show. Good Luck and Happy Hunting.

    The VDI seems very jumpy compared to the ATPro.

      I just bought one as my first metal detector and it does that too. Sometimes pretty bad. I just figured it was normal. Kind of disappointing.
