    I just almost ordered the super sniper for my AT gold and AT max....Then I saw this....there is one in the mail....You are probably the most REAL of all the detectorist people on youtube...I like that...Because, when I find something, I like to say whatever comes to mind...Which usually involves some good language....

      Thank you Scott, I really appreciate that. Hahaha yea its hard to hold back those choice words sometimes. Also good choice on the snake coil. Hows it working out for you so far?

      @@BlazingShovelsMetalDetecting I have only used it twice because it got cold here in Wyo. But it seems to work well in cluttered areas. I have the 8.5X11 and the 5X8 coil as well so as soon as I get a good day, I will do some tests with them all... Happy Turkey Day to ya!!!!!! High tones and silver!!!!

    good video yeah small coils are great for picking good signals out of trash or iron I use them at local parks and find a lot of things other people miss.

    How smart you are to have gotten that coil for the "field of iron", lol. I love the old door knob! Money well spent. Plus it may be helpful for me detecting thru tons of iron on a field of RR tracks long abandoned. Appreciate your showing how well it works. Good to see U keepin' on keepin' on.

    • @BlazingShovelsMetalDetecting

      Thank you Jan! Ya, I needed it for that site in particular. It would be perfect for you in those spots filled with iron, like near rail road tracks. Keep on keepin’ on 😂

      Thank you sir! It’s the best when you can go to a spot that was not producing anymore with the standard coil and pulling stuff out with the small coil.

  • @meMiner
    @meMiner 6 лет назад +1

    Great vid. You are getting nice separation between targets and clear signals on small stuff. That coil sure seems to be tuned perfectly for your detector.

    • @BlazingShovelsMetalDetecting
      @BlazingShovelsMetalDetecting  6 лет назад

      Thank you brother! Yes, it separates great but these areas are really heavily filled with iron so I’m sure there are targets under the iron I can’t get a signal from. Ya, it is tuned perfectly, I would highly highly recommend picking up the snake coil. Thank you for watching and I hope I answered your question. If you ever have any other questions feel free to ask. HH

      I put a NEL coil on a Fisher Gold Bug 29er and it seemed to give some life back to an older detector. My daughter uses it, because the detector is simple to operate and very light.
      The NEL that I bought was a large coil, so target separation in a trash rich environment has sometimes been a little difficult. For sure, it got additional depth and was still sensitive to small targets. Another time, I bought an aftermarket coil (not a NEL) from Australia for my Minelab GPX and it never worked right. It is just a wall ornament now, because I don't take it with me and I don't want to sell a piece of **** to someone else.
      FYI - For Canadians...the best deal on NEL (when I was shopping a few years ago) was to order online from the Ukraine and it worked out fine for me. It took about 3 weeks to arrive.

    What's up brother... how's it going...
    Yeah the snake coil is an excellent coil... I had one for my Fisher f75 and my teknectics t2... good in trash and iron... not super deep but gets the job done... now in using the deus and equinox 800

    • @BlazingShovelsMetalDetecting

    • @jdiggsrecords
      @jdiggsrecords 6 лет назад

      I'm liking the equinox so far... pretty simple to navigate, nice screen, multi frequency, waterproof, fast recovery speed if needed overall it seems to be a good detector... love my deus as well...
      No I don't have an Instagram... sorry... you can shoot me your email or vice versa so we can chat..

    New subscriber here brother! I run the snake coil on my AT Max also and I loved it so much I had to get one for my Tek T2. Amazing coils for the money! You should try the Nel Sharpshooter as well it's got very good depth also.

    How deep does it go I hunt a 1850’s park and it produces deep finds. Not much iron but trashy. Love you videos.

    • @BlazingShovelsMetalDetecting
      @BlazingShovelsMetalDetecting  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you brother! I doesn’t go that deep, I was picking up targets at about 4 inches and they were pretty faint. That’s the only negative thing about the coil. But it is super sensitive to really small targets, so if you are looking for gold it is perfect

      I also have a NEL Storm coil. I would suggest you buy a pinpointer or else you'll be digging craters! It's only good for big open fields and it's heavy. You'll need a sling strap! I can find a penny 12" deep with it all day long!

    Which Snake Coil did you order? I know they have them for the Pro and the Gold, but they are pre order for the Max, I have the Storm coil and it's awesome, heavy but very sensitive to smaller targets also.

      I got the snake coil for the AT Max off eBay, a detector dealer in Missouri had it on there. I want to get the storm coil something fierce, I would like to have that extra depth and search area being as you know some of the permissions are 100’s of acres lol

      Tony! I just went to the NEL website to see if they make the snake coil for the Garrett 400 but I didn’t see it on there. I’ll do some more research and see if I can find one and I’ll leave a link to it in the comment if I do.
