That razor is a $10 Ming Shi 2000s in a fancy box. The old Van Derp Hagan looks exactly like the $3.48 butterfly razors on Temu that come in a blue case. Both work great for me.
This is my first safety razor, and I am so far pretty impressed! I was worried I would cut my face off or slice my jugular! 😂😂😂😂 I literally bought one today and just used it for the first time when I got home. I like the weight and feel. And I didn't need to be airlifted to a trauma unit. That was my biggest fear was cutting my face on these. It feels a heck of a lot better than those disposable 3-5 blade, as far as the shave goes. Not as many passes needed, and I can feel the difference.
I don't use this one alot because it has a bulky head compared to most of my other razors, but every time I've used it the shave came out impressively well with little to no cuts. It's a lot better than the butterfly razor Van Der Hagen sells at Walmart.
@@aidanostler22 The top cap is kinda hard to remove due to how it fastens on and then only one side has a place to really grab the cap from. The blade does seem to lock into the cap with some tension and I started using tweezers to better remove it without having to touch it. But that's definitely something to be cautious of.
Is this aggressive? I need something mild. I would also like something with a smaller head that I can use to style my beard and mustache. You know to get it nice and lined up.
I bought one from Amazon, used it once and got more than a few nicks and cuts. Next shave I will use a Feather blade.

I love my VDH butterfly it’s my first and only razor. I’ve had it for about a year now. Now I’m looking for an adjustable mild razor.
Thanks, thinking of getting this.

@@Mr.Everything yeah, I will definitely look at other razors down the road, but for a first timer, it was not bad.
@@Mr.Everythinghey man thanks for showing how this works I just brought one didn't understand how to use it I tore whole thing up thanks for utube
Just got mine from Amazon
I cut myself really bad on this a couple days ago. When I popped the top off to unload the blade, it shot out and TORCHED my finger

On the lower settings it's a pretty mild razor. The head is probably the largest out of all the razors I have.
@@Mr.Everything thank you I guess I might have to pass on this one then
