Great video! The DeWalt Xtreme line is fantastic. I have the impact driver and drill driver and I just added this screwdriver which I absolutely love. Plenty of power and the ergonomics are the best. Good stuff!
Question. I have the hammer drill. Was looking at either the screwdriver or the impact driver? Do you actually need both or which one gets the used most?
@@g8beast679 It's nice to have both but not necessary. You can use the drill you have as a screwdriver by using the clutch settings for delicate work. The impact driver gets the most use simply because of its power and versatility.
Have been looking for a decent screwdriver for use on aircraft. The control over this compared to an impact is important. Between this and the M12 fuel, I think I'll go with this.
Hello again 737 Mechanic Thank you for another Great Video. I've been waiting to see someone else who works on aircraft besides me. I think the Dewalt will be advantageous in the depaneling or panel install of a wing. Thinking of a B747. The reduced weight will be a huge boost. I like to if you get Power Stack Battery and see if there is an increase? Again thank you
The powerstack batteries would increase runtime but it would not increase power. I have never been able to run a battery down before the second battery is fully charged. It takes about 45 min to fully charge a dead battery so I simply have two batteries on hand to make sure I can keep on going.
@@737mechanic Hello again True enough on charging the battery. I have Hitachi drill and impact Wrench 12 Volt. That is more five years old. It's never given me any trouble yet. But Metabo no longer sells replacement batteries. So I am researching for my next tool purchase. I have been trying to decide between the Milwaukee and Dewalt 12 Volt lineup? You know our kind of work. Is there another Tool line I should be looking at? Considering the warranty and repair issues etc.
@@georgeferlazzo7936 Another one would be makida, apparently there is a brushless sub compact but right now they only sell it in europe for some reason. Dewalt is also about to come out with a cordless ratchet in both 1/4 and 3/8 drive.
Is the dewalt variable speed ? Looking to use the dewalt as an electrician for small flat head screws but would like the speed of drill to be slow do nothing g breaks.

One is the kit which comes with a bag, battery, and a charger. And the other is just the stand-alone tool. If you already own any of the 12v Dewalt products and already have batteries and a charger then all you need is the tool.
Love my 601. My most used tool. Rarely will this not do what I need.

I love my Dewalt.

Yes it is.

I don't use the impact hardly at all. I love my driver because of the clutch. Plus it is quiet compared to the clackety-clack of the impact.
I’m assuming there isn’t a difference between 601 and 601f2
