That wasn’t the tool limitation, you created that issue yourself. No where has Dewalt claimed it can drill with speedbor specially that size. Who goes out to buy that and use with speedbor bits? User error, right tool for the right job

How about a 1 (or even 2) inch drill bit which isn't speed bore? I don't mind spending 10 or even 100x as long for very rare large holes I might end up drilling.

It seems a bit of afterthought stuff. Heavy duty punching hole, it will be the drill's job. Heavy duty screwdrilling(?), impact will do the job. Of course, they can also serve lighter duties.
Maybe this isn't supposed to be compared to those V12 specialists. But a sub tool to be paired with 20 V series, i.e. when you have to work within a small space that can't fit in 20 V tools.

So I have a question…. I’m looking at the 12v Dewalt line also. The 701 has a the same drive modes and the impact driver has a precision mode from what I see. So what does the screwdriver add that the other 2 don’t have?

Am wondering what is its torque? If you know it would be very helpful, thank you

4:38 I disagree. If it did have two speeds, the driver head would be larger and heavier. That's the penalty.

It would be longer with the extra gearing. Compact is the whole point.

This drill does not have a break, like the prior 12v model. With it being a 'max', the break becomes that much more important. You will be stripping out your screw heads often. Idiotic IMO.
