Your driveway is not obvious. It looks like your neighbors driveway can easily be your address.
The house number is clear as day on it even from the street. If the transporter would have stopped just up the block and walked he would have Easily spotted the house number!!😊
I don’t have a driveway, that is my neighbors driveway and if you look you would clearly see a big white fence going all the way around my front yard so why would I have a driveway blocked by my fence? And why would you block someone’s driveway at all regardless of whose it is and why did he come to my address but put the keys in someone else’s mailbox Your logic is flawed. Maybe you should apply to be a delivery driver with them! 😂

The tow company should be liable for all subsequent fees. They had clear instructions. No one, instructions or not, would put the car blocking the driveway. That's just stupidity. Keep up the good work!

Wrong. The tow company was acting on behalf of law enforcement. Unless they damage the vehicle while in their possession, they have no liability. I used to work for a tow company that police impound towing.
You know in Ohio, my truck broke down. I was out of town taking a core engine back to a salvage yard. My phone was dead and I didn't have my charger. The Sheriffs Deputy stopped. He gave me a ride to Autozone to get a belt and a pulley. We stopped by Wendys and got some lunch (I was nice and I paid for his, and the thanked me), and he gave me a ride back to my truck so I could fix it on the side of the road while he sat there with his lights on to make sure I was safe. He never asked for my ID or proof of Insurance.
Some cops are decent. Probably 5% of them. The rest are corrupt crooked
I had a hose break in the middle of no where. tow truck drove me to advanced so I could get a hose and antifreeze, then we went to his tow yard where I put them on, and drove off.
Wildest thing I had ever seen, the hose ripped open in a spiral like those pillsberry roll tubes. Which was good, The sudden smoke from under the hood let me shut engine off, it was a newly rebuilt engine. A slow drip would have led to over heating.....

That’s the way it should be. I was driving a small pickup on an interstate highway and a tire blow out. I was able to pull into the emergency lane. The tre@d had hipped off and wrapped the axel. I had the vehicle on a jack and working to get the tread unwrapped. An 18 wheeler passed with with the right wheels on or over the white line, so close that my truck was shaking on the Jack. Started watching and all the heavies were on the white line. I looked up when I heard a door close. I looke up and an officer was walking toward me. I immediately asked him if he had his deck flashers on. He said yes. No more trucks were on the white line. I finished and installed the spare, then started picking up mu trash. The officer told me that he would do that. I just said thank you but I believe that my company would rather I clean it up. He never ask for any documentation. He was just there to protect me. In almost 70 years of driving, I have never had a negative experience with the Arizona highway patrol. They have been renamed "State Troopers" but the same professionalism exists as far as I can tell.

Friend of mine had his car illegally impounded on friday, told he couldn't get it till monday, went back monday and car was totally striped, engine transmission , rear axle, interior etc, found out a couple years later an officer was rebuilding the same model car.
that department was massively corrupt, in 12 months they "MISPLACED" over 700 firearms.

I had my 69 nova SS 396 Removed from my property back years ago in Indiana. Illegally . And was told a judge told them to go pick it up because it was too fast to be on the road. Took me a month to find it. The tow company was stripping it out when I found it.Today that car would be worth $25,000 plus.
I just went back and listened closer to the video of the cops and the neighbor talking and the neighbor tells the cop "It belongs to a guy from Oklahoma".. the neighbor KNEW it was your car, and the keys were in his mailbox. The neighbor could have been a decent neighbor and just MOVED THE CAR himself instead of calling the cops and having it towed. That neighbor did it to be a jerk.. wonderful guy to have as a neighbor.

Yeah, I'm confused as well. I'm assuming Randy made an agreement with the neighbor to keep the keys for him. So if he knew it was Randy's then why 1) did he called the police and 2) why didn't he just move it since he knew where it belonged. Something isn't adding up.

#1 neighbor didnt know enough about the car #2 did you notice the vertical mailboxes - he probably didnt notice the keys in a timely fashion #3 it is not your golf buddys car, you dont move a strangers car #4 the police made the decision to impound it, not the neighbor
As someone who worked at Domino's for several years as a young man I can tell you the company cars were not just abused, but they were hated! I wouldn't want one unless it was free and I had no other form of transportation!
The mods to dress it up for Dominos actually make it a worse delivery car than the Chevy Spark it's based on. I drove one once and it almost got me killed on a left turn in front of traffic because it hesitated so badly. I refused to ever drive it again for safety reasons.
its actually illegal to cut off traffic to make a turn or uturn... and its such a douche thing to do... also when you put weight in your vehicle things change.

My Domino's has Altimas and they race those cars because the driver isn't paying for it. They have been clocked going double the speed limit and they can't fire the drivers because Domino's sucks and they won't have drivers at all.

I believe I know why he did that. The delivery guy does know that the neighbor's driveway was block, that's why he put the keys at the neighbor's mailbox so if the neighbor had an issue with it he could move the vehicle. The thing is he probably doesn't want to park the car near the front yard cause it's too close to a corner and in most state parking too close to a corner will also get your vehicle ticketed and tow. So the delivery guy did the right thing, just that he didn't do any communication with the neighbor.

If he was that worried about it being parked close to the corner he could have parked it anywhere on that block or the next block over and give the keys to the right house. Parking it in front of another person's driveway is bad enough, but to also give them the keys? That is just insane.
You could always contact the delivery company and seek compensation for their mistake on their behalf, even take some sort of legal action if you didnt sign some clause on the paperwork.
I have the same car , a 2014 spark with the same trouble , my trans is on the fritz, the cvt transmission in these is notorious for the shifting that you feel.
CVT transmissions need to have the fluid changed every 30,000 miles or they die.
they are all headed to the junk yard anyways , no one is going to buy new transmissions for them

I had my car towed, and it cost me $295. The hookup fee alone was $260. I stayed the night at my girlfriend's apartment complex, and all the cars parked there have to sticker indicating that you live there smh. They took my car from Chester Pa to Delaware, which is like a 20-minute ride, and I picked it up that same day and still pretty much had to pay almost $300. I told her I'm never staying at her apartment again

The cost for police tows and impound fees are set by the city and are always cheaper than a standard service tow. Why outfits like AAA are worth the membership. One tow will pay for the costs of membership for a couple of years.

So you have comprehension skills. The police didn't take the car they called a company to take the car because it was blocking a driveway which prevents his neighbor from leaving his house. Once a car is hooked up the tow company must be paid. They can't just back it up and drop it. This isnt TV. They have to make money. That's why he said everyone was nice and he got it back. The cops he talked to on the phone obviously haven't dealt with this situation before. You can only be mad at the guy who left it parked there. But monkeys do repeat what they want to hear instead of actually listening and using reasoning.

Wow, you got a deal on the tow. We had our Toyota break down in 2003. The cops had it towed and it cost us $585 the next day. Their storage fee was $185 a day. Basically they could have put the PU in a good motel for that price.

Great video from the Oklahoma duo 👌 Those Sparks have a CVT gearbox known for issues with fluid and need for updating the software. Anyways, it will always judder as those gearboxes are rubbish since the assembly line. Good luck, and have a safe trip back to Oklahoma.

I rented one of these not knowing what it was. It had 700 miles on it and drove just like this thing. Worst car I have ever driven and possibly downright dangerous in heavy traffic. I called the rental place the 2nd day I had it and asked to change vehicles.

FWIU they're otherwise surprisingly tough little cars. I guess if you find one with the 5 speed manual or get a '13 with the 4sp auto they are.

Well some of us from Indiana call Terre Haute "Terrible Haute" I got offered a job there and after looking over the city for a week told them no and decided "Terrible Haute" wasn't for me.
This is obvious...the company "Improperly" delivered the car by parking it illegally, which was the 'Direct' cause for the impoundment, and is therefore responsible for any and all expenses, up to and including the full replacement value of the vehicle.
I would love to hear your neighbor's side of the story. "Yeah, for some odd reason I now owned a used pizza car with keys in my mailbox? Did someone quit in front of my house and figure me to sort the rest out? So I called the police."
I would also showed up with my lawyer. That way if they said no. You could have dropped immediate lawsuit. You can put a suit against the police and the quicker you do it the better.
Does your lawyer travel with you and bill less than $50/ hr? 😂
Your main vehicle is a pickup. Why didn't you just go to uhaul and get trailer and tow it with your truck.

I have the same engine in my wee Holden Barina,but older than yours but the fuel pump was buggered,so replaced it ,all good after that.
I had a Chevy like that. It had previously overheated. The header pipe had delaminated on the inside even though the outside of the pipe looked good. A clogged converter or even a muffler can do that especially if the engine is left idling a lot.
Engine sounds good to me. Definitely isn't that bad where I'd be scared to drive it?
I'm going to guess a bad coil pack, or perhaps a sloppy timing chain system.
Give the shipper guy a break, Randy - he's probably only been in the country for three weeks now...
A good cheap fix for those walls is paneling. Maybe a bit dated, but it would do wonders for that interior!

Years back I had a 32’ GN flatbed with 20’ storage box, and loaded a small car behind. I had a fay to kill 160 miles in trip so I unhooked, had oil change. They showed me upper radiator hose was spongy. “Fine replace” not 100 miles later steam everywhere. Hose blew. Hose clamp tight on metal just ABOVE barb. Never put on hose. So I put it back but only have one jug water. County Deputy pulls on interstate last exit. I said I likely could limp it. He has TWO gallons 100% antifreeze from farm store. *sale prices* w/receipt. “If you pay that you can have them”. Well it’s HALF price truck stop. 33% water 3 gallons better then 1.
He takes empty jugs, *all 3* goes to exit, fills, brings them back w/water. So 4 gallons water, 2 antifreeze. Refuses anything over what he paid for antifreeze. Waited as I started, kept adding water, let it perk, add water. That’s the norm to have happen.
This is a perfect example of "Snooze ya lose". You literally slept through a failed delivery and a police confiscation of your vehicle.
I had a ford did that exact same thing the way it would bog and buck didn’t run right end up being a bad set of aftermarket coil packs put a set of OEM in and it ran perfect so if it’s not old gas try the coils

my first thought on the engine tap is a piston, broken skirt or just a worn piston, could be a timing chain guide broken, does not sound like valve train noise, hard to tell but a broken piston will make noise but as long as the rings are sealed you can probably put a thousand miles on it
He probably thought that driveway was for your house. The mailbox at your house is stuffed and looks abandoned. So he decided not to use it. The neighbors probably were just pissed at Domino's.

I hope you never change, to many car youtubers go from getting and working on obtainable cars to super cars etc and it's like where is the fun in that? Yea getting a bigger shop is great but pickup some cool obtainable cars like the subaru baja, c4 vettes, mustangs etc.

For future reference I've bought vehicles in other states before as well ... Many states will issue you a 10 day temp registration to get the vehicle out of the state to get it registered in your state. Also 180 bucks is a steal ... Had a car towed and impounded for 2hrs due to me forgetting to renew the plate in time. Cost 250 dollars for them to two it 2 miles and keep it behind the fence for 2 hours. It only took 2 hours to go to the driver's facility to get a new sticker lol and get back to the impound.
that actually sounds like tps related also, or pedal position sensor maybe, my 08 impala had very hard shifting when the pedal position sensor went bad, but also said reduced engine power and just crawled, limp mode essentially, this seems like that but without being 100% in limp mode
You can get a tag in Oklahoma but they will hold the title until you get a VIN inspection
On that “tapping” check your exhaust manifold bolts! My 95 Dakota done the same thing!

Quick and dirty fix is to mud the wall with a wire reinforcement. You want to check for mold and damage first because it will be a waste of time and money if it has issues

1,000 kms to destruction. Replace main engine every 150,000miles using grade to balanced performance parts! Timing is failing, inserts are weak, heads are cooked lifters are crud oil pump is gouged. AC compressor is good for 100k miles for a positive ending.
dang if domino’s pizza car’s are that illegal to where it gets seized immediately by police it makes me wonder just how domino’s even managed to get their car’s running in the first place

Check the integrity of the belt tensioner I left one hand tight once on one of these and it made a noise very similar
My daughter had a 2015 Spark that had the transmission replaced twice and the engine replaced before the 3 year 36000 miles warranty was up. Traded it in ASAP.
Never never never leave a car un-tagged or expired plates on the public.
As a dealer, they are wrong. You don't have to do any of the stuff they said. Sue, and press charges.

I live in East Central Indiana, and back in the 90s, I and some other guys worked for a floor cleaning company and would go to Terre Haute to clean the Kmarts there. If I remember right, one of the kmarts was really small.
16:00 yep, sea foam the crank case, change the oil, substitute 15-20% of the oil with marvel mystery oil, put a few miles on it, sea foam it 5-10 miles before changing the oil again, rinse repeat - if anything sounds like a lifter tick, ive put many of miles on vehicles with lifter ticks and i always change the oil just like i explained

Long ago he bought a white Pontiac Grand Am? Did same thing on the drive home from the auction, put fresh gas in it drove it several miles, and ran great. Hoping fresh gas works for this one as well!

the headlights. where you thought those are reflectors. if I am not mistaken those are supposed to have 'park' lamps/daytime running lights in there. kinda a safety feature
Sounds like maybe lifters tapping! If they’re hydraulic, they can deflate themselves! U can clean them with diesel fuel and then pump them back u see under oil!
Here's a solution, sue the tow company for all the damages inflicted.
Parking on the street for more than 24 or 48 hours is generally illegal. This guy is completely at fault.

I drove one of those for roadside service, those engines and transmissions (mine was the 5spd) had to be replaced every 70k miles roughly, the surging was the transmission having issues
