"Why Do People Laugh at Spirit 'Science'?" is a series in which I debunk and make fun of the claims of defacto new age cult leader Jordan Duchnycz/Pearce/David/River/whatever he calls himself this week, and his "Spirit Science," which is about as far from science as it gets. Featuring psychic powers, male and female energy which apparently relates to thermodynamics, spinning physical wheels inside our bodies and Jews from space, this is some serious stupid that sadly, millions of people seem to take seriously.

Another minor nitpick, but probably another indication that it wasn't written by an actual pilot: A WWII pilot wouldn't have said "execute a sharp left turn... make another left turn..." They would've said something more like, "make a sharp turn to port... turn to port again," or simply indicate turns by heading; even without a good absolute heading, they should be able to approximate the fraction of a circle in their turn in clear skies (eg: turn approximately 90 degrees to port). Of course the, "It appears to be an elephant! NO! It looks more like a mammoth!" is absolutely not something that would be written in a flight log, since it's written as if it's being dictated while making the observation... while actively piloting an aircraft in an unfamiliar area with malfunctioning instruments... I think the pilot is the real discovery, since he's apparently got four hands and eyes with independent movement and focus!
Port and Starboard are naval terms not used in aviation. Even naval aviation.
Pilots use Left and Right.

@@iambob6590 You are correct. Except, this specific pilot is a WWII veteran, and Allied pilots during WWII used port and starboard during operations. Modern pilots only use clock directions, headings, and elevations, but nonspecific relative directions during WWII ("to the left" being more general than "nine o'clock" or "ten o'clock") used the naval terms. For some reason, I don't actually know why.
@@tildessmoo I will disagree with you there. Left and Right have been aviation terms since the beginning of aviation. In the beginning of naval aviation they tried to use the naval terms but it confused the issue too much.

Just because I've seen pilots use the naval terms in WWII radio transcripts doesn't mean it was the norm or even common; WWII USAAF fighter pilots were often grandstanding attention hogs with a problem with authority (not a bad thing; the attitude kind of goes with being a good dogfighter), so I can see those couple of examples I've seen (I'll try to find them, but it's been a while, so I might not remember exactly where they are) just using the wrong terms because they sounded cool.
I'm sticking by the fact that he should've had some indication of relative heading even with malfunctioning instruments and the whole "no way this dictation-sounding thing is actually a flight log" situation, though.

“Vril: The Coming Race” Published in 1871 has a similar idea to Jordan’s Nordic underground master race. Several Nazis were big fans. Also the Idea that the “Aryan race” came from somewhere in the far North was also a very popular idea among Nazis, it having been first widely purposed in “The Passing of the Great Race: Or, The Racial Basis of European History” which several nazis also read and Hitler called his bible. Not saying that Jordan is a racist or Nazi but he really REALLY needs to look into were the ideas he parrots come from. It wasn’t hard at all to find any of this out dozens of books and hundreds of websites document this.

I love how absurd some of this evidence is. This conspiracy is so powerful that they can keep this stuff hidden for *decades*, but apparently isn't capable of keeping one of their guys from using their Fitbit to track their daily run.
Comment necromancy on a year old video. Apparently the GPS thing happened with less than public knowledge bases of the US armed forces in the middle east being clearly mapped out through the Fitness-App Strava. You can find articles about it in the Guardian and Washington Post and that at least lends it enough credibility for me. So while I vehemently deny the possibility of secret sub-ice hollow-earth bases in the Arctic or Antarctic, people making dumb mistakes at least is always a possibility. @@klobiforpresident2254 Well, sad fact is that during WWII nazis really took very young blue eyed and blond childern from conquered nations (like Czech republic or Poland) and gave them for "germanization" to german families (of course hand picked supporters of the regime). Most of them didn´t really know they were taken from their families and "adopted" (if you can call it that) until years after the war was over, and even when they found out, return wasn´t allways easy, because they didn´t remember their families (being taken at really young age) and often didn´t even speak their language.
Not to say all those families treated those childern horribly. Some truly loved them like their own, and that made in in one aspect so much harder, when they found out they were stolen. If you are interested in this, I recommend short book "They called me Leni" by Zděnka Bezděková.

Just adding my two sense, coincidently I’m reading “Alone” by admiral Byrd. These journal entries don’t read like him. Firstly, he’s a lot more thoughtful and descriptive than that. Secondly, there’s NO way he would have taken such a huge discovery to the grave. He literally risked life and limb to man a weather station, recording scientific data in the most inhospitable place in the world so we can better predict weather patterns.

I do not know anything about 1940's flight log: But was it common or even practical for a pilot in a plane to make notes in a book every five minutes while flying? Why would you do that? How would this help anyone?
My guess is that the notes were supposed to be taken by a second person on the plane, and that they were only taken so often due to the "unbelievable" amount of stuff they were witnessing.
Two things. That couldn't have been kept secret for more than 2 months. Neither would there be an incentive to keep it secret. The diary is a hoax.
Also if this advanced civilization was so concerned about what was going on, wouldn't they reveal themselves on their own terms? I'm certain they also would be interested in trading goods and info for their own stuff.

So would "found lush green valley at co-ords XXX/YYY. Outside air temp at ZZZ altitude XX degrees".
Both would enable you to come back and take another look - or send a second observer team. That sort of note could be made on a chalkboard or notepad on a clipboard.
That's what a co-pilot, navigator, or *actual* air observer is for though, whilst the pilot handles the flying thing. That sort of detail given in the Jordan portion though would have to be written up after the fact.

Notes along the lines of “flew bearing such-and-such at speed so-and-so for X minutes” might be useful, so would marking locations on a map. The “diary” however is completely useless because Byrd, a very experienced explorer and navigator, apparently didn’t bother recording any of the data you’d expect a very experienced explorer and navigator to record.
As it happens, making notes every few minutes often was part of piloting in the 1940s. One of my uncles was a wartime RAF Bomber Command navigator who flew in Lancasters and he said the amount of calculating the pilot and flight engineer had to do to keep track of basic things like ensuring optimal fuel usage was enormous. Uncle’s job was to try to make sure the bomber flew the correct course to get where it was supposed to be going and then get back home again, which meant he had to keep a lot of notes and do a lot of calculations in the hope that he could keep track of where they were, not an easy task flying over blacked-out Europe at night, and it was quite possible to get lost flying in broad daylight. Some of the aircraft that have “disappeared” in the “Bermuda Triangle” are thought to have simply lost track of where they were and flown a course that took them further out to sea when they thought they were flying towards land.

jordan sounds like he is talking about "ultima thule" or something, this episode specifically reminds me of a video from atun shei films where he talks about how modern conspiracy nuts sound suspiciously similar to nazi mythology, it's worth a watch.

I am born and raised in the United States and I can confirm your statement that the US school system is broken. In my late thirties, I took some collage courses in my local area for computers to broaden my skill set. The first day of class the instructor told us that we will be graded on two programming projects and one test and other them that, he did not care what we did. Those were almost his words. After that, myself and maybe three or four others, out of about twenty students, actually showed up each day. The programming projects had a pretty narrow scope and most of the students that never showed up to class, just copied each other. Then, the instructor told us via email that because not that many people come to his classes, that he would be canceling the test and simply just gave the entire class A's instead. Then as it turned out, the instructor have out A's across the board for the projects and we all got A's for the whole class. If I did not take the class seriously and studied in my own, I could have gotten an A for learning absolutely nothing. I left each day from that classroom in shock. That my friends, is a college level course in the United States... And yes, I know, there are some very good schools in this country, but the fact that something like this could even exist, says something about the system...

I can think of several explanations for the fitbit anomaly. A clone device with a poorly coded coordinate transformation. A buggy GPS receiver firmware. A troll submitting false data. But the most likely explanation by far is that Jordan made the whole thing up.

I'm going to preface this by saying I DO NOT believe the earth is hollow, or flat, or any other nonsense. This is just a nitpick, really. There could be convection currents in a hollow space if it's got air, or whatever. This of course does not dispute all the other evidence for the mantle, etc. Just a nitpick, as I said. Great video, and I'm glad you're uploading fairly frequently again.

I used to have a resident I helped that watched Ancient Aliens nonsense on the "History Channel", one day when I was in there they were exploring Hollow Earth nonsense on the show. It breaks my heart that people lie to the credulous for the sake of ratings.
The main problem with hollow earth is gravity would cause a hollow planet to implode and collapse in on its self

the word leader ist mostly translated to the word ANführer and is just someone wo the the head of a group/land
the word Führer is more correctly translated to "guide" for mountains or citys as an example
and yes while this is clearly nazi propaganda not every word in a sentence has a hidden meaning or dogwhistle on it.

Odd question, but why would the earth being flat preclude it being hollow?
I mean, it isnt flat or hollow, but I'm just wondering why it being flat would stop it from being hollow. If the earth was flat it would still have some depth.
