"Why Do People Laugh at Spirit 'Science'?" is a series in which I debunk and make fun of the claims of defacto new age cult leader Jordan Duchnycz/Pearce/David/River/whatever he calls himself this week, and his "Spirit Science," which is about as far from science as it gets. Featuring psychic powers, male and female energy which apparently relates to thermodynamics, spinning physical wheels inside our bodies and Jews from space, this is some serious stupid that sadly, millions of people seem to take seriously.
"I really hope that I'm explaining this in a way that doesn't make me sound too crazy."

This basically sums up the entire problem with Jordan's mindset. Instead of trying to find the truth, he tries to figure out how everything can be true, because he, for some reason, cannot contemplate a concept without accepting it outright. That's not being open and understanding, Jordon. That's just being absurd.

I have a very different take: His followers kept telling him the earth is flat, so he designed this scenario where he would "discover" they're right, thereby ensuring they'll stay to buy more magic rocks.
Jordan knows the truth. He's a Poe. 5 years ago, he'd have been documenting his "Real Ghost Caught on Tape! 100% Proof!" instead of all that spirit science shit. Isn't it funny how people from other fields of woo are suddenly talking about flat earth all the time? Did they really convert? Or did they just notice that their viewers were starting to get interested in something else?
I want to some how come with the reasoning behind the claim that he doesn't exist at all.
I was about 15 when I watched Martymer's first video on Spirit "Science". I'm 19 now. What an ankhing rollercoaster it has been. There were twists and turns I didn't expect, grand comebacks, space jews, etc. Thank you, is all I can say, for suffering through the ramblings of this unhinged man for our entertainment. It's been a pleasure.
Same boat. 19. I stopped being a spiritard some time around 12-14 years old, after 2-4 years of tardism, and when I watched Marty's videos, it was cathartic and allowed me to now fully grasp just how inane his ideas are.
I was like 14. I’m now 18. I used to watch these videos all the time during my sophomore year, so nostalgic man.
Also 19, was also a part of Jordan's cult around middleschool. it scares me what could have been if I never snapped out of it.

I guess one of the reasons people are often confused about the word dimension is movies, cartoons and such that use the phrase "in another dimension". I guess the idea is either like in the video, where you mean a place with coordinates that differs in a dimension above our observable reality, or a place removed from our reality "beyond dimension", like a different universe that is not located som distance from our universe in n-dimensional space.

I guess it's some kind of progress, the concept of being crazy implies that there is a reality that is distorted in a mind, and therefore also a reality that isn't distorted, it's objective.
To be fair, it was the cartoon character that used to say the most insane shit, Jordan could somewhat distance himself from that because it was just a character. Now, this is Jordan talking for himself, no shield of deniability... not that he denies much though.

Direct Sydney to Johannesburg flight is impossible on AE map. End of discussion. Airplane would've to stop to refuel at least once or fly twice as fast with same fuel consumption.
That is reason why flatties still say that flight doesn't exist even after Wolfie6020 offered to pay that flight for them. Only one who accepted offer was GreaterSapien who got GPS data from that flight. He also witnessed something that is only possible on spinning Earth.

Also, if the Earth is a disk, what do they think is on the underside of the disk? Surely they don't claim it's a 2D plane, because we can obviously dig into the earth without reaching some inter-dimensional paradox.
Maybe they can be convinced that the northern hemisphere is on one side of the disk, and the southern hemisphere is on the other side. And because Earth obviously has some depth and we can't easily dig from the North Pole to the South Pole, it must have some thickness - and thus some curve or bezel along the edge. We'd probably notice a sudden, massive curvature of the earth, so let's presume that the radius of this bevel is roughly consistent across the entire disk.... And the result of that is a spherical earth.
I suspect that Jordan watched a picture of bubble universe hypothesis or membrane universe hypothesis or what not, I forgot the name. It depicts multiverse as layers of membranes while each universe is a membrane.

I love how he says on a spherical Earth, everyone's "up" is different. Not really. While everyone's "up" isn't pointing in the exact same direction compared to each other's, everyone's "up" is pointing away from the center of the Earth.

I really wish Jordan was a smarter guy. Because I would pay any amount of money to read an essay on his version of epistomology. When I hear him say things like "it's not about finding out the truth" it just makes me think how fundamentally different his thought processes are from anything I can understand.

At about 4mins, Jordan's asked how you look at all the Earth at the same time. And I think there's an actual answer for how to do it all from the same point.

It's not that useful, generally, unless you're at a point between say Sun and Earth. Then the mirrors can be supplying solar power (while also handling this trivial wish) constantly.

I have had several shamanic experiences like the one Jordan describes, but ultimately came to very different conclusions about them. First, it's almost like they push a "truth button" inside your brain that creates a feeling of truth regardless of the content. Second, as you talk about the experience, a vivid but incoherent jumble crystalizes into a narrative as your brain tries to make sense of the experience then the narrative becomes the experience. I vividly remember sitting in a church service shortly after such an experience listening to a reading of a vision and having this feeling of "been there, done that" and that experience was instrumental to becoming an atheist.
