so you can scratch over a beat and i'll save/you can play both the audio track plus the sequence at once? i'm lookin for a way to do that without an daw
Good question... not sure... seems like you should be able to record the pads and the input at the same time or switch back and forth... I’ll check it out when I get a chance.
bro i am getting so frustrated with my mpc2500, i am literaly having troubles getting a very simple drum pattern [not sampled, played on the pads] to loop properly, it either cuts off too soon or theres a silence at the end of the drum pattern for way too long before it loops again. please help, im using the free version of jjos btw
Hey LG. So the free version doesn't have the looping recorder. If you're talking about just recording a looping beat on a track, make sure you have selected the correct amount of bars to be looped (2, 4, 8, etc.). Also check that the loop is set to on and that the time signature is set to 4/4 and the track type is set to Drum... If that doesn't work, try reinstalling the OS or going back to the Akai OS.
@@lazoo2000 thanks so much for the reply there's not alot of help out there for these things 😂,I've been used to using DAWs for too long were your not restricted to bars you can just record any drum pattern you want I think that's what was confusing me, what is the main advantage of the paid JJOS loop recorder? And thanks I didn't know about the 4/4 thing, also, how do you have your timecount set up for hip hop ? 1/32 and 50% swing? Once again thanks for the help!
I`ve had the same problem. Check the ADHR Curves in Program Mode! The MPC puts standard fade out on every sample in Drum Mode and that cuts out the end of the loop.
Thanks for this vid, been looking for more info on looping recorder mode.
Really nice feature! Thanks for sharing it
Thanks for this Looping Recorder tutorial!
I like your 2500 videos. Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome... thanks for stopping by.
Thank you 🙏🙏👊👊

Is there an undo function while making a sample with the looping recorder
If you just stop it and hit record again, it will erase and start a fresh loop.
great video. do you how can you import other akai program formats into the mpc2500 ? thanks
Good question... I guess it depends on what other formats you're speaking of.
@@lazoo2000 the tipe of program or bank that you used to load on the S series. Sample cds.. etc. You know ?
Can you switch between drum and audio on the fly or do you have to stop and save the previous loop first?

@@lazoo2000 Thanks I appreciate it bro.

Do you use the footswitch inputs with the loop recorder?
Yup
lazoo2000 Can you recommend a foot switch? I’ll be using a MPC 2500 with a Reloop 8000mk2 turntable and a Rane 62 mixer for scratching.
Maronn!!!!
Really blows that it's only mono.
