Thanks for showcasing your setup mate. It might not be part of your workflow, but suppose you wanted to use some VST plugins as insert effects. For example you wanted to use a particular reverb plugin that you have as VST in Ableton on the snare only. Would you be able to go 8 MPC outputs into DAW and apply the reverb to the snare live?
im not sure about live but once you have the track outs into the computer you can mix it and add effects however you want. in the daw you can automate effects on the separate tracks if that’s what you mean
not sure if you still use that 2500. but the jjos operating system upgrade makes that thing fun again. Also, sound treat your room good brother. makes a big difference in your mix. Analogue take up so much space but it's so worth it in the end. awesome content my guy.

i use a apollo twin duo and have my condenser mic plugged into the in's. If I get a mixer like that, would i still keep my mic plugged into the apollo, or would I plug my mic into the mixer and plug the apollo twin into the mixer? Thanks
I have same setup but i have old mackie 1604 and i have direct outs on mixer for first 8 channela so i bought audiocard with 8 ins and outs and i record that in to my daw and do final mix in ableton. Hybrid setups are the best
thank you and yeah the mpc has a mixer mode built in but i have more control and accuracy with an external mixer. i can also send it to external effects and right now i’m using this setup to récord the individual outs pre-eq and pre-fader into pro tools
Does anyone know? Can you use USB B of Key 37 to *output* the L/R audio of a sequence? Asking as my mixer (a Yamaha MG10XU) has a USB B 2input/2output that allows for monitoring signal while NOT sending that monitored signal to the stereo out (i.e. this allows monitoring MPC tracks while laying down vocals, guitar, bass etc thru mixer into MPC).
So this mixer has 8 outputs in the back, if I send those 8 outs to the 8 ins in my Interface will it record all the channels into separate tracks in my daw ? Or does It not work that way cuz of the main stereo outs have to be connected to interface?
yeah i think that’ll work but you won’t be able to get all 8 outs. maybe 1-6 and the main outs will work right now ive been looking into the tascam model 24 to do multitracking and that’ll do what you’re describing
I’m tryna do this with my 2000 I got the same mixer and I just have the 8 outs- it’s not working I’m confused on how to get the MPC to recognize the individual one shots
i’m not sure about the 2000 but on the 2500 you can go to the mixer tab by hitting mode and hitting pad 8. in there you can assign each pad and it’s sounds to a specific output. that’s where you can assign your sounds out to the mixer board. for example pad 1 with a kick sound gets sent out to output 1 and it’ll show up in the mixer as input 1. pad 2 with a snare sound gets sent to output 2. in the mixer it’ll be input 2. that’s how you can get the mpc to recognize the individual one shots into the mixer. each sound gotta be on its own pad. i hope this helped. if it’s still not working, lmk and i’ll try to help

you can plug the mic into a channel on the mixer, then run the outs of the mixer into the apollo twin.

Hi, great video! which cable you need for each of the individual outputs? mono/stereo? i/o cable? kind regards daniel
i use a snake cable that has 8 mono ts cables for the outputs of the mpc. then another couple mono ts cables for the rest. 1/4 inches
