I grew up with TMNT. They've been a huge part of my life since I was a kid. I literally just discovered this story. Damn it hit home. Great story. Very sad though....
Mikey is my favorite (always been) and following him through this story was hard. My mind at some point was "I hope he rests in peace and that he meets his brothers in the after life." It was so dark and depressing but so good. That final made me cried, it was so bittersweet to see them together. This comic really crushed my heart, but probably one of the best comics I read.
You know, they always kill our favorite characters without sympathy both DC and marvel and now this. But you know, reading comic book breaks down with pure emotional feelings because we all love ninja turtles, everytime I turn the next page, I ask myself "should I read the next page or stop where am I at right now?" I just don't want find out what happened next! 😞

Mostly from the cartoons, toys, and, videogames.(Although that's about to change) This story was so well made and handled with care. It truly brought a tear to my eye. LOVED it! Fixing to start the compendium of the first 50 issues, and just ordered all of the IDW hardcovers.

Just discovered the last ronin series from a fb clip and found this channel! Thank goodness I did. Great work and narration! Ambushed by Ninja onions appeared out of nowhere in the end. Amazing story and definitely has me hooked back into TMNT as it’s been at least 20 plus years since I’ve really noticed them. Thanks for your hard work!

I felt when Raphael took on karai by himself I felt sad that this was his final fight I guess it felt losing a family member and to be honest I thought Raphael was going to be the last ronin when it came out
I feel like if Raphael was the last Ronin, his family would've dead at the result of him charging head first into something and his family trying to stop him. It would be him redeeming himself. If it was Leo he would beat himself over it since he's the leader and if you watched the 2003 show, Leo feels/has the most responsibility. Raph and Leo would make the most sense but it's also too predictable. Mickey always has been the most sense one of the group and his backstory makes sense. It also makes it (in my opinion) the most tragic as the nicest turtle has to go through so much. If Mickey is going through this kinds of stuff, then you know the story isn't gonna pull any punches. Hope the game turns out good!!!!

(Which hurts me a bit seeing the leader die in a blaze of glory) Looking back at it, I thought about something. If there was a post page scene. After the smoke clears, everything was burnt to the ground, we see Casey Jones' Mask and Leonardo's body, until Leo's hand started twitching, then moving. He then weakendly opened his eyes, finishing the issue with a cliffhanger. As you could tell by the comment I just wrote, Leo somehow survived the explosion but Casey never made it. How would that effect the story? Let me know if you liked it. And reply, I like to know your thoughts about it.

This story is totally different from the tmnt of nicj 2012 why where karai is with turtle and baster istockman got normal from mutant form and even shredder got killed by leo
I truly can't believe how many people liked this story. It's one of the dumbest, most boring, simplistic non-stories I've ever sat through. 4 pages of Mikey making eggs is bad writing.
This story was kinda of a fail. They should have took their time with the backstory. The way the turtles died was all weak and made this version of the turtles feel dumb.
