@wattlesplays I've found that on Bedrock, although this should work perfectly, the Illagers don't seem to head for the village center. They sort of get close and then mill around aimlessly, instead of hopping into the hole (even with trap doors). I did a fair amount of experimenting in a test world, and found that they don't even seem to target villagers well (I had one suspended in a glass box with his bed and work station, directly above the lava. Even with direct line of sight, most Illagers would take up to 3 minutes to finally aggro on the villager and walk into the hole). I'll give yours a shot in my Bedrock creative test world, and let you know what happens. Hopefully it works perfectly.
@@proseller287 good question. I've been busy this week, but I'll give that a shot. I just built the farm in my survival world. But whenever I get the bad omen effect and start the raid the bar will start to go up but it disappears right before the raid starts. Does anyone have a fix for this?
Hey! So this guy teaches u how to make this fancy farm. However this farm has a flaw many of us experienced. So! If you built your farm in the water like I did and the raid bar gets to last tick, here’s how to fix. The bed you once placed, get rid of it. That’s it, literal fix. Also the damn farm land doesn’t need to be that damn big, it’s a waste of time. Get yourself a decent size id say 15 out in every direction. They literally force spawn on everything but glass and leaves. Good luck y’all!
I don't know if anything has changed but you can use a much smaller spawning platform if you are 72 blocks away from land on water. It works for me 4 blocks on everyside of the killing chamber. Edit: Also for the farm to work correctly you should be 150 blocks from a pillager outpost and other villages
A problem you can encounter is the pillagers getting stuck in the corners of the farm where as a fix I put in the corners trapdoors even tho the tutorial said to not. Hope this might help you
Is this for bedrock? Because I saw similar designs that are almost identical to this one and the comments said that it doesn’t work on bedrock. I think it doesn’t work when the pillagers can’t see a villager on bedrock edition.
I try to start a raid in a normal village in Bedrock, but I don't even encounter pillager patrols. On an other place in my world, far from where I am now, they came all the time. Is there something broken with the latest updates? Also, pillager outposts seem a lot rarer on Bedrock then on Java.
This works on 1.20.4 vanilla, on a realm. I built it over an ocean with a pillager outpost nearby. Definitely kill the evokers asap! It's possible with an iron sword, but takes 2 swings. Best to go with a diamond sword w/sharpness, and looting 3 for drops. With looting 3 and difficulty hard, you can get about a stack of emeralds per raid.
I tried this out in bedrock and I have no idea why it isn’t working. The raid tries to start but the bar never fully fills and it just fails. I wanted this to work so bad 😭
Dude I'm in the same boat, spent 3 hours building this on my survival world just for the pillagers to fail spawning. Followed all the instructions to the letter, hate how different bedrock is.
Whenever I go to start raid with bad omen it always looks like it’s gonna start wave one but at the verily last part of the bar it stops and disappears
The farm isn’t working for me I followed the guide step by step and I start the raid get ready to kill them than the raid despawns can I get some tips please
this legitimately works really well, i honestly didnt expect it to work lol. ONLY DO IT ON OCEANS. i tried it on land, it's horrible on land. It's like 4x better in oceans, it's worth the pain. trust me.
Works perfectly on my Java 1.21 SMP. Thank you! One fix though. You have to put something in the corners of the upper layer (I used slabs) otherwise two will get stuck face to face in there
I know Mushroom Islands prevent hostile mob spawns, but does that include event spawns from a raid being triggered? I have a small mushroom in a giant ocean I want to do something with, so a raid farm could be interesting if it works. Love the videos, and I tend to replicate a lot of your redstoning. Great work!
No. The raid event will start anywhere there is a town. Even in The End. Underground structures that contain mobs can still spawn in a mushroom biome. They are the rainiest biome in the game, so you will want to protect your villagers with lightning rods. They turn into witches when lightning strikes, and the iron golem usually kills them fast. It took me a while to figure out why my villagers were disappearing. Mushroom biomes are a great place to build farms without worrying about hostile mobs. If you hang out there long enough, you can get a lightning strike on a mooshroom. It can be sped up with a lightning rod. The brown mooshroom is the best farmable livestock in the game. They provide meat and leather when killed. They can be fed flowers for specific kinds of suspicious stew. It is like a status effect potion and super-food in one. They can be sheared to drop mushrooms and turn into regular milking cows. A continent-sized mushroom island is my primary farming area on my world. I am lucky enough that the Nether side of the Island is a fortress. I have also had multiple skeleton trap horses spawn there. All of my skeletal horses are named "Slim". -5687882629541970054 is the Java seed. I started it in 1.18, so a number of the villages and structures nearest to spawn are a bit different on my world. Travel due West of spawn and you will find a mushroom continent with everything you need to thrive. My raid farm is a Fort I built in the box canyon just N of the pillager outpost NW of world spawn. It is built around a 4-beacon pyramid and emphasizes fun and roleplay over efficiency. Why worry about the efficiency of your raid farm when you already have a shulker box full of totems?
If you still need the answer, or for others who have the same question: the raid will still trigger in Mushroom Islands, so if you want you can build this farm over there
I actually decided to put a campfire at the bottom of the funnel and block it off completely (with glass so I could see) This made it 100% safe. Just less loot and you still have to kill the witches manually Edit: put a trapdoor at the same level of the campfire, this lets you still hit the mobs and use looting. You just still gotta be careful with the evokers though
It’s not working for me the raid bar starts to fill but stops and goes away with just a little left to fill all the way. Any suggestions on how to fix?
So I built this farm exactly like the video shows. However, when I get down to the villager with the bad omen effect, the raid cancels out. Any suggestions?
Place the villager and the room in a glass box a few blocks above the lava block so the pillagers can see the villager, it cancels because the pillagers can't locate a villager
@@rianfeeney2647 it was working for 2 raids now it's not, I think it's an issue with being too far away from the pillagers and us not being in eye view, i might try less of a block fall for the pillagers so I'm more to the surface see if that helps, if not I'll make a bunker they'll come too so I can farm, I'll try them
You should put a carpet on the hopper so you can get the xp and maybe a slab under one of the glass blocks so the evoker cant see you, but i am still 100% building this in my world
Why would you not specify that it needs to be built away from villages and outposts… I’ve just wasted hours doing this as my first ever farm and I’m actually fuming, please someone tell me that I can just destroy the beds at the village I’m next to and it will work because I honestly give up at this point
Just built this in my survival Java 120.1 server and it works like a charm!!!! I built a nether tunnel on the nether ceiling from my pillager outpost using nether portals to my raid farm. I used packed ice and a boat to maximize speed while travelling the nether ceiling. I built it in an ocean biome on a man-made Island, I made, cause I am a man!! LOL! I put carpet on the hopper to get all XP from the farm and I glassed in my villager cell leaving one block open by the bell so that I could ring it. I put a trapdoor on open glass block to stop the possibility of Evokers using Vexes to kill villager. I simply open it to ring the bell at the start of a raid then close it again, to protect the villager. Thanks, Wattles for this Easy, Efficient 1.20 Raid Farm!!!! Just like the description says!
So I recently switched to Java because I feel ready. And now I gathered enough materials for a huge mansion. And tomorrows goal is to make an iron fat because yesterday I mined a lot and got some diamonds and red stone. And yes, I’m gonna use the iron farm that wattles made recently!
@@wattlesplays Yeah maybe I did get invaded by a couple of pillagers today. Although after that I was collecting cobblestone from the generator and I’ve been mining for so long that I didn’t realize it was night time. A creeper blew me up and the lava from the generator burnt me alive so yeah😂 thankfully had time to run away so items are safe but almost 30 levels are gone so might need the Xp from this farm!
Note: this is not a bedrock farm, kf you want a farm for bedrock do not use this. If you do use this though the way to fix it is by putting the villager in a glass box above the lava. Edit: just to clarify, putting the villager in the box makes the raid spawn, the raid does not pathfind to the villager 80% of the time, one way to help is the shrink the platform but the raid does not always pathfind.
If you need a bucket of lava, you can make the platform more easily: you can pour the lava above the water and that makes the water blocks into stone. Now there is your platform ^^
that's useful because my first nether portal branch on my new 1.20 world spat me out in a lush cave below a massive warm ocean... I guess I actually have a use for that long term now
What if the raid looks like its about to start. But right before the red bar fills up (the one that tells you the raid is about to start) it just completely stops and the raid never starts. (I need help)

So i just built this and started the raid then when i killed the last wave the raid ended and raiders no longer spawned instead if the farm instantly starting another what am i doing doing wrong
BIG tip. put a slab above hopper and then lava on top of the slab if you do not have fortune yet. It makes it completely automatic per raid and you still get drop. It makes it so evokers have 0 way of seeing you too!
Not only do vexes keep spawning, but you also have to go get bad omen after every single raid. Much better to build another design, while maybe being a bit more complicated, is still fairly simple and much much safer+ productive.
just make it seperate, with how passive and aggressive mob counts can interfere with each other and also the platform would have iron golems on it bc the iron farm is considered one village and you need it lower underground so vexs don’t pathfind on the villager and so the evoker doesn’t pathfind to him so i don’t think it would work, if so it’d be incredibly inefficient
and also if you combined the two the iron golems wouldnt spawn as much bc they’re aware of the raid from the bell so it would most like chop ur iron farm rates in half as well, i built mine next to my gaurdian farm perimeter but as long as it over 50 blocks from the iron farm you should be fine to make it close by but not combining them bc it would most likely mess with the path finding of all the pillagers and it would also have the possibility of vexs flying up and killing the villagers for your iron farm
great farm, but sometimes saddles from the ravagers get stuck on the stairs and the water can't push it down. i dont how to fix it, but if you are looking for saddles go up after the raid and pick them up from the top stairs.
if you are having problems with the raiders not going into the funnel make sure to put the villager chamber on the right or left side of the chest and hopper.
Every single one of ianxofours designs is better and more convenient than basically anything else out there. Except maybe the villager breeder/trading hall. The gold farm blew my mind.

In bedrock survival. I built one one land and the Illagers spawned in caves and couldn’t be found. Then I built one over the ocean and it just failed, the raid bar loaded and then just disappeared. So frustrating!
Quick tip, if anyone is building the platform on the ocean poor lava on the water so you don't need to collect the blocks for the platform, and it also doesn't look too bad.
thats so smart i was about to make this u saved so much of my time tysm
Wish I read this comment before I built the platform..

Me too, did u fix it?
I think that’s what happens in bedrock, this is only for java
I play on Java and the same happened to me

Thank you very much!!! I’ll try it later - i hope it’ll work than
I made it how you said but without the bed the raid wasn’t triggered - should i wait until it’s triggered and than remove it?
@@chefboss7102 yeah that’s what I did
Oh my thank you bro the farm was not working for so long
My boi raidles Is back!
I don't know if anything has changed but you can use a much smaller spawning platform if you are 72 blocks away from land on water. It works for me 4 blocks on everyside of the killing chamber. Edit: Also for the farm to work correctly you should be 150 blocks from a pillager outpost and other villages
You play bedrock or java?

So like 150 or more blocks?
This is awesome! i have tested a bunch of farms without getting a good farm until now!

A problem you can encounter is the pillagers getting stuck in the corners of the farm where as a fix I put in the corners trapdoors even tho the tutorial said to not. Hope this might help you
Came here to find a comment about this-didn't know if it would ruin the farm or not. Thanks a bunch!
This is the one raid farm i find that actually works
I built it but put the villager above the lava on bedrock. The pillagers sometimes fall in but mostly wander around aimlessly.
@@mrneilbrahow come it’s like this

im having the exact same issue, im trying to get to the bottom of it so if i find a fix ill let u know.
Here is a quick tip!!
Use lava to create stone for the platforms. I created my platform within 15 minutes and 4 lava buckets.
Whenever I go to start raid with bad omen it always looks like it’s gonna start wave one but at the verily last part of the bar it stops and disappears
same
3:40 Just use buckets of lava to build the island. Create the boarder first, then get to pouring cobble.
i keep having to go up there and lure them in the water thing so i can even kill them what do i do?
5/5 star toy!
Fits right into my needs, good fabric and pleasuring results, recomend!
It's like 4x better in oceans, it's worth the pain. trust me.
An excellent early-ish game raid farm! Gonna try this on a new playthrough.
Works perfectly on my Java 1.21 SMP. Thank you! One fix though. You have to put something in the corners of the upper layer (I used slabs) otherwise two will get stuck face to face in there
Wattles i’m wondering if placing signs on top of a normal fence would work or does it have to be crimson or warped fences?
Just built today, still works.
@@justin1730that is the biggest comment I’ve ever seen
If you still need the answer, or for others who have the same question: the raid will still trigger in Mushroom Islands, so if you want you can build this farm over there
I actually decided to put a campfire at the bottom of the funnel and block it off completely (with glass so I could see) This made it 100% safe. Just less loot and you still have to kill the witches manually
Edit: put a trapdoor at the same level of the campfire, this lets you still hit the mobs and use looting. You just still gotta be careful with the evokers though
But you don't get the effect of looting 3.
Do you?
For some reason when the raid bar starts to go up when it gets close to full it goes away. Does anyone know why? Please help
for everyone whose evokers keep glitched without throwing themselves to the hopper is as easy as putting a trapdoor in the block underneath the stairs
It’s not working for me the raid bar starts to fill but stops and goes away with just a little left to fill all the way. Any suggestions on how to fix?

This will be perfect for my ocean only worlds! Thanks Wattles
Raids keep cancelling, Is this a bug or have I done something wrong?
My raid does not begin until I go downstairs to my villager
Then it cancels before it starts..
Great - my afternoon project today - thank you! ❤
So I built this farm exactly like the video shows. However, when I get down to the villager with the bad omen effect, the raid cancels out. Any suggestions?
Bro that is happening to me to
Place the villager and the room in a glass box a few blocks above the lava block so the pillagers can see the villager, it cancels because the pillagers can't locate a villager
@@fishinmybelly2118 i tried that and it still didn`t work tho, it still cancels the raid
@@fishinmybelly2118i did this, the pillagers just wander around, maybe 2 or 3 of them per wave fall down does that happen for you?
@@rianfeeney2647 it was working for 2 raids now it's not, I think it's an issue with being too far away from the pillagers and us not being in eye view, i might try less of a block fall for the pillagers so I'm more to the surface see if that helps, if not I'll make a bunker they'll come too so I can farm, I'll try them

Thank you Wattles. I just build this farm and can't wait to try it out.
Are you on Java or bedrock?
Note: this is not a bedrock farm, kf you want a farm for bedrock do not use this. If you do use this though the way to fix it is by putting the villager in a glass box above the lava.
Edit: just to clarify, putting the villager in the box makes the raid spawn, the raid does not pathfind to the villager 80% of the time, one way to help is the shrink the platform but the raid does not always pathfind.
So build it the same just put the villager in a glass box above lava ?
Didn’t work for me, the pillagers still don’t pathfinder to him.
@@mrneilbra if your on bedrock i found one that works. RUclipsr is called oinkoink

Man, glad I seen this right before I finished the build…. Just wasted an hour and a half of my life🙄
If you need a bucket of lava, you can make the platform more easily: you can pour the lava above the water and that makes the water blocks into stone. Now there is your platform ^^
I built this farm in Bedrock today, it did create a raid but the pillagers spawned all over in caves under the ocean floor.
Wonder if u pit it in the air far enough from caves a stuff?
Had the same issue I think I'm going to move the villager into a glass cage above the farm

Having the same issue
I thought it was just me I also need help with this
same with me
Same with me. Have any of y’all figured out how to fix it?
No, I had villeger outpost near by so I made that into a raid farm works great
Idea for some content. FAQ’s/issues and common mistakes in the build that make it not work would be an easy follow up video that would also help many people.
So i just built this and started the raid then when i killed the last wave the raid ended and raiders no longer spawned instead if the farm instantly starting another what am i doing doing wrong
You need to kill a illager captain then use the bad omen effect you then have to activate the raid and you have to do so each time over
BIG tip. put a slab above hopper and then lava on top of the slab if you do not have fortune yet.
Top tip, you can place Lily pads directly on the top of water so you don't have to pillar up from the bottom of the ocean
Do you know if you could combine this into an iron farm aswell? P.S. if you can could you make a video/short on that?
just make it seperate, with how passive and aggressive mob counts can interfere with each other and also the platform would have iron golems on it bc the iron farm is considered one village and you need it lower underground so vexs don’t pathfind on the villager and so the evoker doesn’t pathfind to him so i don’t think it would work, if so it’d be incredibly inefficient
hope that helped bro
and also if you combined the two the iron golems wouldnt spawn as much bc they’re aware of the raid from the bell so it would most like chop ur iron farm rates in half as well, i built mine next to my gaurdian farm perimeter but as long as it over 50 blocks from the iron farm you should be fine to make it close by but not combining them bc it would most likely mess with the path finding of all the pillagers and it would also have the possibility of vexs flying up and killing the villagers for your iron farm
Thanks!
great farm, but sometimes saddles from the ravagers get stuck on the stairs and the water can't push it down. i dont how to fix it, but if you are looking for saddles go up after the raid and pick them up from the top stairs.
The raider are not spawning any idea why
Your game mode have peaceful mode 😂😂😂
if you are having problems with the raiders not going into the funnel make sure to put the villager chamber on the right or left side of the chest and hopper.
I built my farm right next to an outpost and I think it's a bit broken. Any tips? Also is it meant to be slow?
To fix that you have to build the farm at least 150 blocks distant from an outpost
Works just as promised and thats all i care about :) 10/10
Any idea why my raid doesn't even start? The bar fills up to about 98%, then it just fails to start the raid.😢😂
