Their first album was pretty similar to sempiternal but the last album is definitely different and doesn't sound like bmth so much, except mercy and blood, they were similar to bmth. It's probably inspired by the film The Fountain that was (or still is) Bad Omens' favorite movie (Noah, Vincent, Jolly at least, don't know about the Nicks). They loved it so much that they got inspired to write The Fountain song because of the movie. And then on Mercy, the intro instrumental of the live version sounds like the end credits tune of The Fountain movie! Such a good, thought-provoking film about life and its meaning, as well as both songs The Fountain and Mercy, also Running In Circles (in my opinion). I watched it only a few days ago and it left me in awe ✨
