Forgive me for being sentimental, but your music has been a great source of comfort to me over the last month as I've been in and out of hospital. I was even allowed to listen to your Mining Town and Terraform EPs through the headphones provided whilst having my MRIs done. It's helped me block out the sounds of the ward so that I can sleep during my overnight stays. So, thank you for your art. Your soul shines through it all. Keep going because you'll always have me as a supporter.

Thank you for sharing this. The banjo has been closely tied to America's coal industry for a long time. One of my favorite banjo pickers was a coal miner in Kentucky, Dock Boggs. In one of his recordings, he said he used to play his banjo for the crew while on break from the mines. I wish the best for you and I'm thankful my banjo pickin could take part in your experience on top of the last train.

It is said in the Starry nights of Heifium, Planet of a thousand ranches, if you listen carefully past the lowing of Spongehorns, and the soft whisps of the ember flies,
You can hear the Father the Cosmos, strumming on the strings of The Milky Way, delighting in and giving delight to His creation.
But here in the ole Milky Way, we aught to be the most delighted, for He gave us humans, among other gifts, the mighty humble banjo and said:"My Sons and My Daughters, My Children whom I call Precious and Beloved...
    Jam with me."
    Keep 'em comin' Greg! :D

(sips from CW4 mug) I'm a mil vet, and I've also published some award-winning science fiction. These videos are a delightful blend of old frontier sound, shaped for new frontier exploration. My stories in Analog magazine tend to focus on working-class and mil vet people who're doing the "dirty work" of space exploration. Your Space Banjo music fits the mood perfectly. Like a blending of the movie SILVERADO with STAR TREK.

I mean, this kind of stuff does make one wonder. In space colonization, it is inevitable that certain planets/moons/regions will be settled by specific countries, just like the New World was colonized by specific empires, and that wound up having major impacts on the cultures of those areas. (Latin America being colonized by the Spanish, with North America being colonized by the English with pockets of French colonization.) But is it possible that people of given cultures and regions will tend to colonize the same areas? That would be pretty cool, and it could wind up with an Appalachian-descent region of Mars or the Moon or something where Space Banjo could become a real thing. It might sound crazy at first thought, but the people of the Appalachians have basically already done that during Westward Expansion, they went to the Ozarks and made that a very Appalachian-esque region hundreds of miles away from actual Appalachia.

I can honestly see this happening in the future. A farmer/rancher attending to his stock. Keeping up with tradition. Using future tech to make the job easier. Regardless of how advance technology has become. It will never maximize profits doing the job by hand. Equipment breaking down from harsh weather conditions. The job itself is brutal. As the rancher looks on over the horizon. A storm is coming. While it may not be planet Earth. Planet 2024 has similarities. There are 2 suns. The days last 48 hours instead of 24. The 🌪 are much larger. The bugs are the size of kids. Martha calls out to John. Gather whatever you collected. Ya all are heading to the storm shelter. Just another day on the farm.

I'm in two minds about it - yes, don't pigeonhole yourself into reiterating only one, very specific, type of art.
But it's also an incredibly simple and powerful name - Space Banjo. It's genius. Easy to remember, easy to share, easy to Google. It fits the artwork (also amazing, by the way) so well, and both do a great job of setting the mood and immersing the listeners (just look at all the commenters talking about interstellar exploration and space truckin' and shit).
Just look at Lofi Girl - everyone ended up loving it so much, even the owners abandoned the original name. As long as you're releasing atmospheric-style music, I think people will keep coming even if it strictly isn't reverb banjo.
Space Banjo... man, I'll probably still remember that on my deathbed.
