Ain't nothing like sitting on the beaches of Hargod-824 watching the moonrise longin for the days of old back when solar sailing was the way to cross the sea now all the youngins just go over it with their new fangled twin ion engines powered air ships
I work to these videos. I fall asleep to these videos. This music was the soundtrack to some part of my inner life. Someone else just had to play it for me.
Two drops in one week? You're spoiling us! This is unbelievably beautiful. Thank you. What you wrote in the description about the ocean being humanity's first frontier and our first astronauts being deep sea divers is so simple, yet so evocative. You most likely already know this, but the Ancient Greek etymology of the word astronaut makes this all the more poignant -- ἄστρον (astron) meaning 'star' and ναύτης (nautes) meaning 'sailor'. Sailors on a sea of stars!
Ha I didn't know that, that's so neat!! I never put astro-naut and naut-ical together before. Thank you for enriching my videos again with another thoughtful comment! I'm glad you enjoyed this one.🙏
Space Banjo is about all the music I listen to any more. I think this recording is my favorite. Interesting that there is meditation piano, guitar, flute, hammer dulcimer, pan drum, and more, but no banjo.
Found you a bit ago, wonderful….i often combine two or more musics together and I really like the combination with brainpod’s music..I also let him know about you and would luv2C a collaboration between the both of you..what a ride
I usually go sleep to these, which seems like such a waste considering how good they are. Every time I sit down to listen while I'm awake, I notice how awesome this pickin is. Thanks for both helping me sleep and keeping me entertained.
I just looked up Winder Slide and want to learn it! It does sound close, I'm playing the B part of Angeline the Baker at the 16:00 mark. There other tunes are Mississippi Sawyer, Liberty, and a touch of Soldier's Joy. Thanks for listening! Glad you enjoy🙏
Back when i was a boy my grandaddy used to have a saying...he'd say "white water in the morning"........... "Was there anything else to that?" No...my grandaddy was an odd man, but boy could he play meeeean banjo.
@@Hy-Brasil Thank you for realizing it, at my age, some out there see me as a dork, after getting hit by a drunk driver, I'm like a honey badger when it comes to opinions.
This is great! I've wanted to pick up a banjo and start learning it after i found the first Cosmic Wanderer videos months back. I haven't been able to get one yet, but each one of your videos remind me. Any chances of releasing your tabs for the song in the future? Keep up the awesome work!
Look for a fairly inexpensive but decent banjo like a Deering Goodtime 2, and then get some old-time banjo books. My son learned from books by Art Rosenbaum, who lived right up the road from us.
Would love this. The bouzouki (the Irish one anyway) has such a warm sound...., it would probably go great with this music. If you got a 5-course (cittern) version there are various tunings available: CGDAD, CGDAE, DGDAD, GDAEB, or DADAD.
Guys, does anyone have some similar songs with distant-like sounding banjo to recommend? I love this. And I need some tabs to play these songs, please!
Hey I love your music and I listen to it all the time. I'd just like to point something out, you say no AI is used in making the music which is great. But then all of your videos have AI generated images which is disappointing. You can see there is a disconnect there right?
I do appreciate that the AI bot seems to not comprehend a five-string banjo, proving it's not all powerful.............yet. Thanks for the ambient twang!
I'm just trying to make music for people to enjoy whether there's an image attached to it or not. I'm both a musician and I draw pen/ink sketch art as well. At this point in time, I don't feel that either has been slighted by my use of ai art. However I am open ears because I don't have any fully formed opinion about the use of ai art. Thank you for listening to my music even though the ai art is a turnoff. 🙏
@@SpaceBanjoMusic Fwiw, I wasn't complaining about the art you use; I just find it amusing that the AI bot doesn't seem to comprehend "five-string banjo." Your music is very much appreciated by different people for different reasons. All the best to you.
@@Kan-o-tex Ha I know! It gives me a slight satisfaction too knowing that ai hasn't fully comprehended the banjo yet. 95% of the generated images so far ai completely wrecks the banjo or it'll put a guitar instead😆

More music in a short span of time? We are blessed. Thank you for all the work you do.
Thank you for listening to my music. I'm blessed to have listeners.
My grandfather once told me, "If there ain't no banjo, it ain't music."
That's a wise man right there.

If the nostalgia of Outer Wilds wasn't enough, here's a little crossover with Sea of Thieves.
Nah this some subnautica shit.
Most of this music is from like 100 years ago.
Sea of thieves wishes it had music this good
Angeline the Spacewoman! I'm probably in the minority of people listening that also play old time banjo. Nice picking 👍
Haha, thank you! Nice to see another old time banjo picker.🪕
I hope Space Banjo knows how much their music means to me! ♥️
Thank you so much for sharing your talent❣️
I'm happy you enjoy it. Thank you for listening🙏
Nautical space banjo music is something I didn't know I needed, but I'm loving it. You're doing God's work here, Space Banjo! Well done.

I tried playing my banjo. The sounds are phenomenal.. i have a guitar.
2:04 Love the slowdown/pause...
Surely Jules Verne is smiling down on you from Heaven for this.
My 2nd favorite next to the space folk music.
This is fantastic!
Thank you!
I would love it if the people that make Star Citizen (CIG) would hire you to make the theme for a planet in the Pyro system (for example).
I didnt even know i liked Banjo. Now i play this whike i teach kids art.

look up the theme to the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy, the original tv show, i feel like all "'space banjo"' originated from that one piece.
