This was the first CT record i got into, Front to back I adore every moment. The addition of strings on close to half of the album adds such a unique feel that makes this album stick out. Would love if you guys discussed All Shook Up. That seems to be a record that isnso divided by the fanbase. Personally I love it
You two are great, very personable. I view your videos and I almost feel as if I'm in the room with you listening to a casual conversation. I agree with all of the points mentioned...Cheap Trick's pinnacle, just a fun rocking record. Gonna Raise Hell (the song that is playing now as I listen to the album) is a fine song but does go on too long, it should be 5 minutes tops.
dream police is to me is cheap trick at their power chord rocking best from the two fisted opening tracks the title track and ways of the world and the fantastic side ending epics gonna raise hell and need your love this is an amazing way to end the 70s and the first half of their amazing careey
So this album promoted them into the world of legitimate rock in terms of recognition. However, those of us who followed them from their earliest years view Heaven Tonight as the masterpiece. Nevertheless, Dream Police is a masterwork of sonic brilliance. In the late 70s and early 80s there were two ways to view Cheap Trick: love em or hate em--no inbetween. They were a bit like KISS and Rush in that regard. In St. Louis we loved them.
Side A of this record is PERFECT. Dream Police, Heaven Tonight, and Live at Budokan are CT's greatest albums

So glad I found your channel! It is the smartest music commentary on RUclips.

That's such a compliment, that's exactly what we're going for! Thank you so much :)

I listen to you guys always in 2X speed. Jeez you're so pensive. It's aggravating.
Funny I just mentioned voices on your xtc video from two weeks ago.
Yes it was your comment we mentioned! :)
@@statesandkingdoms haaaaaaaah! That’s awesome!

Great album, but I think it suffered coming after the classic Live album.
Yes maybe!
