Gas BBQ Grill Won't Ignite - Check and Fix Barbecue Ignitor Not Working by Replacing the Battery

If you're having problems starting your gas barbecue grill, watch this short video and I'll show you a couple of things you can check. It can definitely happen on older grills but also on brand new ones as well.
First thing to do is make sure the valve on the propane tank is open. And obviously turn on the gas to the individual burners. Then press the ignitor. If you don't hear a clicking sound then it means the battery is dead. And it's really common to forget that the ignitor does need power to work.
To replace the battery, just unscrew the button. Typically, this uses a AA battery. So grab a fresh AA and make sure to pay attention to the polarity when reinserting. Once I know my grill has a fresh battery and the gas is on, the ignitor clicks when I press it and the burners light up easily.
