You are the man. It wasn't my regulator or tank relief valve. It was the nut/seal for the regulator, and it was leaking. Now it heats fine. Thank you
I am glad I could help. I appreciate you watching.
I did like you said and it worked. You saved my day and taught a great lesson. I have suffered this lots of times and I am gland I decided to check online and luckily found you video. Thank you.
I am so glad I could help my friend. I have had many of my BBQs ruined because of this as well. I appreciate you watching.
Wow! That saved me a bunch of frustration and bucks! No surprise that the grill manufacturer didn't put that in the trouble shooting instructions, Thanks a million
I am really glad that helped. I know it caused me a lot of headaches before I figured it out. I agree, if they have an adjustable temp gauge, they should show you how to check and adjust it.
Thanks for making this so understandable. Brand new BBQ only heated up to 200 degrees yesterday for a July 4th party of 75 people. NOT A FUN DAY! Thankfully we had a back up. Gonna give it a shot today and see what happens.
@@JFCllPtown let me know how it turns out, my friend.
UPDATE: perfect! I followed your directions and when I lit the grill, it was over 400 degrees within a couple of minutes. Only thing I did differently was I left everything disconnected for a couple of hours while I ran some errands. Thank you again. You made it so easy to do.
@JFCllPtown I am so glad it worked! What usually causes this is disconnecting the tank while a burner is still on or opening the tank valve too fast when connecting a new tank.
Thank you! Your fix worked and saved my BBQ for 8 people!
@GailMcNulty-h4y that is awesome to hear! Glad I could help, and thanks for watching.
I've had this problem before, but couldn't remember the solution. Your video saved the day. And thanks for the recommendation on the enjoying one's favorite beverage. After a few I didn't need the grill anymore.
LOL! Glad I could help my friend. Have another one for me.
Thanks the reset on the regulator worked !!
So glad I could help my friend.
Now I know what to look for. Thanks and howdy from Nashville, TN!
Glad I could help.
This worked perfectly. Thank you
I am glad it helped, and thanks for watching.
Thanks, this was really helpful.
I am glad I could help. Thanks for watching.
Worked for me! Thank you!
Glad I could help.
Great video. Wish I'd have seen it sooner after replacing the burner tubes, deflectors, etc. on my Weber Genesis thinkng I must have had a blockage or something. The issue has persisted, so I can't wait to try this method. Just need to run by the store and grab a Shiner first. Cheers!
Thanks. I replaced a bunch of parts on mine before I tried this on mine. Let me know how it works out. Grab two Shiners while you are at it. Cheers, my friend.
awesome explantion, i love the humor :)
Thank you, my friend. I am glad it helped. LOL, I don't think everyone like my jokes.
thanks! Im going to try it
@@Jenniferlsweet let me know how it works.
Thanks for the tip!!
I am glad I could help my friend.
Saved me big time!!
I was about to do a whole rebuild
I am glad I could help. Sadly, I gave away a perfectly good grill before I learned this.
Excellent advise
Thank you!! I am glad it helped.
Great video. One point though. You should open all the burners once the tank is disconnected then wait for the regulator to reset. 10 minutes as you mentioned is best. This releases the pressure in the line as the propane hose usually has a back heck value in it. Cheers
I will have to try that
Yay 🎉!!! Thank you good sir!! Steaks 🥩 will be had 😊
Let me know how they turn out.
Dude this worked like a charm on my grill. Who would have thunk it
I am so glad to hear it my friend. Glad I could help.
It fixed it, thank you so much! Why didn't I watch this last night when I needed the grill, I used the air fryer and it took forever to cook a huge batch of chicken 🍗 😔😂
I am glad it worked! The same thing happened to me. I didn't learn this trick until after I gave away a nice grill for not working. Thanks for watching.
@@GrillinandChillinwithColeman The house was all smoky for our Friendsgiving, I was making our tandoori chicken in the air fryer 😬Thank God it’s still warm in SC and we could open all the windows to air out. Thanks to you, I will not give my grill away! 😂
I love you ❤,, my bbq had same problem as you i have the Napoleon triumph ,, and i did same troubleshooting you did with no results
But then aleluia you showed me how and the heavens opened up 😂yessssthanks my friend you saved me
I am so glad I could help, my friend. I felt a little when I realized it was so easy to fix. I just gave away a great BBQ grill right before i made this video because it had the same issue. Thanks for watching.
Thanks a million!
Glad I could help, my friend.
Thanks heaps mate!
Glad I could help.
If this didnt fix it, i found out that there is an air sort of port at the base of where the regulator goes into the gas manifold. the port had a plate and screw, and when you move the plate it allows more or less air in the manifold. I adjusted it for less and then more air. Grill gets super hot now.
Great tip! Thanks
Nice backyard view dude
Thank you my friend, I love it out here.
Thanks brother, you helped me fix my girlfriend grill and impress the shit out of her dad, amazing fix and thank you!
BOYFRIEND POINTS! Glad I could help. Thanks for watching.
Dude has Camo crocs on you know he knows his way around a grill.
Plus I'm fat, it's like I won the lottery! Thanks for watching my friend.
Thanks
I hope this video helped. Thanks for watching.
Wonder why any gas at all would flow if it thinks there's a leak? Anyway, I thought this might be the issue on my (under warranty grill) but then I heard gas shooting out from where the hose connects to the tank. They Said I need new hose so they sent it, I changed it, and all seems to be fine.
Glad you found the issue my friend.
@@GrillinandChillinwithColeman Thanks man!
Gonna try this tomorrow
Let me know if it fixes it. Thanks for watching.
@@GrillinandChillinwithColeman I think it worked, thanks! Had to get it fixed before Mother’s Day steak dinner.
@@1991jklaas GREAT NEWS!!!
So does this work when I try to turn on a 4th burner, the rest of the burners go down? All my burners work.
I would definitely give it a try. That is what was happening to mine and it fixed it. If it does not work, you night have to replace your regulator.
@@GrillinandChillinwithColeman this actually worked. Thanks brother
@@StudCity718 THAT IS AWESOME!!! Glad I could help.
You just saved me from having hungry grumpy parents. Thank You.
There is nothing worse than hungry, grumpy parents. I'm glad I could help, and thanks for watching.
You are showing two different regulators. The one on your barbecue looks like an adjustable type. Where can I find one? I seem to only be able to find adjustable high pressure regulators where LP barbecues are supposed to be low pressure. Good video btw.
I picked that up at my local hardware store. Email me and I will see if I can go by and get a manufacture and part number off the packaging.
@@GrillinandChillinwithColeman I went to your website. It was the only place I could find an email address. If there is a better one I could use could you please reply with it?

Lmao I have the same crocs.
They are part of my logo. I love these things!
I see that you have one of the Chinese Variable Regulators (red knob) .
MINE bought to replace my 20 yr old factory regulator on my Vermont Castings BBQ.. which had aged out.
BUT.. MY chinee red knob 'Variable' regulator is proving to be COMPLETE GARBAGE quality. What a Surprise 🙂
It needs re setting EACH and every time that I want to light My Vermont castings BBQ.
It simply Will Not hold it's setting between uses. NOT a reassuring feature.
Buy /Use one of those POS things... at your Own Risk Kids !
Mine seems to work well. I check it often, but don't rely on it. I mainly use my CyberQ Cloud.
Look at this video …
