the fact that these look almost like film (exept for lighting and facial expressions) truly shows how much lego cared about making their movie as stop motion as possible.
Not only that, but also the sets were mostly real constructions. This was done mainly to make the destruction of buildings and constructions in the film more believable.
i thought it was ???? i remember watching an interview of someone who worked on the movie, and the guy in it said everything was stop motion and how hard it was.
When I first saw the trailer for the Lego movie, I thought it actually was stop motion. I remember being floored because at that point, I had seen stop motion Lego animations on RUclips for years. So the fact they were doing a movie in that style was amazing.
who, that was so nicely done! I kinda came here hoping and expecting to see the shower scene, but i have to say I was not disappointed with what I got. Very nicely animated!
The fact that your animation is nearly identical to the original just shows how well the filmmakers managed to replicate the look of stop motion. When I first heard about the LEGO Movie and saw it, I started out 100% convinced it was stop motion but as I was watching it, I realized that not only was it CG, but also that the idea of even trying to make a film on that scale in stop motion would be an insane idea that would have taken years just to animate.
And it took you Thirty Seven Hours (as someone who has tried stop animation before, well done for ever completing any stop animation, it is TIME CONSUMING)
While everyone appreciate the movie seeing this stop motion clip. Spare some time to appreciate the effort he took in his video. Imagine the time he spend on this. Each frame ! Good work man !
everyone talking about how the lego movie got it close to stopmotion but maybe its just that this guy is so good at stop motion? like the animation is amazing and all yall talk about is the movie?
Why did this video pop off oml
Also the LEGO Movie is CGI made to look like stop motion so please stop saying it is stop motion 💀
I thought the movie was already stop motion.

The movie looks so good I even thought it was made with actually Lego and it was actually stop motion.
Lego movie wasn't stop motion movie
@@mockalate thats why I said almost...
This isn't the movie,m
I'm surprised that the Lego Movie is actually computer animation and not Stop Motion, they've done it too well.
It was so realistic, the first time my dumbass watched it, I thought it was all stop motion. That's how good The Lego Movie is.
i thought it was ???? i remember watching an interview of someone who worked on the movie, and the guy in it said everything was stop motion and how hard it was.
@@pyechosthey could have edited the facial axpressions, and the rest could be stop motion
They job is just amazing! they actually make everything, EVERYTHING MADE of Legos
@YourAverageAnimator not true it’s all CGI.
Damn that was SMOOTH, and the timing on those jumps was *chef’s kiss*
“Hey buddy would you like a glass of water? TOO BAD”
😂
The fact that the movie looks like stop motion but is cgi in 2013-14 is amazing
You know, for you next stop motion (just a suggestion) you could animate one scene from every marvel/ Star Wars movie
The fact that this looks so similar to the motion in The Lego Movie just goes to show how insanely crisp and real the animation was.
The Garmadon pajamas my beloved

Great work, this is actually close to the animation of the movie!
Goddam, imagine if that was how the movie was made? That would’ve probably taken less than a decade.

That was awesome like everything is awesome 😂
This is fun to see lol
Nice job! :)
Someone did the math, and it would have taken about a decade to animate the entire Lego Movie using vanilla stopmotion.
Can you believe that this movie is almost ten years old
i feel so old 👴🏻
honestly the entire time it took me to watch the movie i believed it was already stop motion 😅
Thats pretty good
That's what u call dedication
