Henry Hill Interview

  • Watch a rare interview with one of the most famous wiseguys of all time - Henry Hill, of “Goodfellas” fame. As a host and someone who has been in that world, Tony Delvecchio won’t let Henry Hill off the hook so easy. While Tony wasn’t a member of any crime family, he refused to turn state’s evidence on any of his friends and associates, even when staring jail time square in the face. Hill went the other way, and Tony takes him to task for it. Tony also probes Hill on the ultimate, moral penalty of terrorizing another human being, beyond the consequences of the law.

Lol BTW if Henry's father was Italian, even though his mother non- Italian I believe Henry coulda been "made" But I'm thinking it was the other way around n Henry's mom was the one who was Italian,so what then? You'd think that for all the stuff Henry claimed to b involved with he'd get a pass n they'd make an exception to this rule! How does anyone know who your real dad is without DNA testing? And back in the day they never had such a thing available, nor did they have U-Tube professors illuminating n correcting guys like me or Henry for believing this edict from his superiors! But think about it ,u only get one mother, but on Father's Day - who the hell could b your real dad! Even the queen coulda "sacked" with the milkman ! Just look at King( used to b Prince) Charles n his big ears n other features and you'll know what I'm talking about! So if your .mom was Italian, that prolly makes u part Italian ,but now that I think of it not a " for sure" thing! So I guess poor Henry was a "mutt" in his superiors eyes! Well until he decided to co-operate with doj Henry coulda rose up to a higher position such as captain, right?

    In a documentary I saw about Hill, it was stated Henry's life was in danger because of his complicity in the Lufthansa heist. From what I've seen and read elsewhere, Henry wasn't involved at all in the robbery, so he wasn't entitled to a share of the money, and so Jimmy Burke had no reason to whack him over that. I thought Jimmy wanted Henry dead because Jimmy was involved in the drug business with Henry, and if Paulie found out, Jimmy would've been killed. Paulie wanted Henry dead because Henry was busted for drugs and Paulie knew he'd talk because of the time he was facing.

    • @prophetmargin7497
      @prophetmargin7497 2 года назад +8

      Hill claims he was promised a 10% finders fee or $500,000 by Jimmy Burke for bringing the Lufthansa heist plan to Burke. It was actually one of local bookie Morrie Kessler's clients who come up with the idea for the heist. The client, who worked for Lufthansa was in serious debt to Morrie and came up with the perfect plan to erase his debt. Once everyone associated with the heist started turning up dead, Henry figured it was in his best interest not to demand his cut and it probably saved his life!

    • @Clevinger67

      @@Clevinger67 It wasn’t that Pauly outlawed it. It was a rule in every family. The night a guy gets his button he is told that there is no drug dealing allowed. But we all know that a lot of mob guys were involved in drugs. John Gottis whole crew was dealing smack. If it wasn’t for Raggario “Quack Quack” dealing dope along with Gene Gotti and Mark Ryder,John Carniglia they would not of bugged Quack Quacks house which led to them bugging Big Paul’s house and everything that happened from then on.
      This guy thinks that the government,FBI,lied to Henry to get him to flip. Henry had a few choices at that time. One was to get killed ,go to prison for 30 years or to flip. It’s as simple as that.

    • @Clevinger67
      @Clevinger67 Год назад +1

      @@tomking7080 I don't think Henry needed the government at all to see the reality of his situation. He knew his life, and his family's lives, were in serious danger. So any pressure the government decided to use on Henry to get him to flip wouldn't have been news to Henry. He knew Jimmy was a ruthless killer and had motive to kill him. Keep doing your research. There was 5 major families in New York. You’re either a citizen, an associate or a made man. You’re a earner or a killer, that’s it. You have to get made to be in, and only if your 100 % Italian. Then you get chosen to become apart of, La Costra Nostra Then you’re protected by a set of rules. Always keep your mouth shut and never rat on your friends.

    The interviewer didn't do any homework about Henry. At the 24 minute mark you could tell Henry was getting aggravated. After that Henry acted like he didn't want to keep talking. If I was Henry I would have thought twice about doing this interview..

    I'm going to tell you about a Henry that nobody really knows. I met him. I didn't just meet him, he was a regular at the "hoot owl" AA meetings out here near Seattle. Mostly, he would hang at the Alano club in Bellevue.
    Henry was full of shit. He was always embellishing things, yet at the same time the reality he was bullshitting about was far deeper and worse than anything he ever said in these interviews.
    I spent many hours talking with Henry late into the night, smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee at Denny's along with my friend Johnny C. Johnny is still in AA so he remains anonymous.
    Henry thought he was an imposter from day one. And everything he did in his life, he felt he was an imposter. But he also tried really hard to fool everyone around him to make believe he was bigger than he was.
    Most everything in the movie you see happened, but it was different in the most brutal and horrid ways. He hated being a rat but he also hated that he wasn't a wise guy anymore. More than anything, however, he hated that nobody knew how "important" he was even though I listened to the man cry and tell me how bad he felt about not being nobody and felt phony.
    I saw Henry for the last time eating lunch at Denny's in Bellevue WA with my friend Johnny. We all ate lunch and Henry was drunk as hell. He was broke and Johnny and I split the tab to cover his lunch.
    He was a guy that never had a chance. He was born screwed because his father was a POS who abused him and his brother and his mother regularly. He did what he did because he had nothing else he could do to escape. He was both incredibly nice and incredibly sociopathic at the same time. He died broke and never escaped the demons that chased him all the way to the moment he died.

    This guy is a HORRIBLE interviewer. You can’t interview someone of this caliber and talk over them. He also tries to call him out on some things. It’s like an interrogation. “You know it’s bs” etc. Who are you to debate a guy that was in the middle of all this? He’d never get an interview again from me if I was Hill.
