This switch is so handy. So glad I made this little upgrade.

Thanks, I'm sure you'll get a lot more likes as time goes on. I have a new to me pre-owned, 2019 Bullet Ultralite. The damn battery is is always drained the next time we use it. I take that back, once we actually succeeded in getting everything turned off correctly so we still had battery the next use. ;) A disconnect switch will cure that problem. I'm grabbing that step light idea as well!

I did the same thing as you did. I used my ground wire to run to the switched just wondering why you used ground rather than hot? You stated at the beginning of this video that there was different thoughts on that.

It seems like there’s always differing opinions on everything. I just felt like the ground wire covers all my bases.

You may want to put a piece of rubber matting on the side where the bolts are ....Not saying it will happen but your battery could rub against the bolts and cause some problems down the road.

I had put a piece of foam there. Thanks for looking out for me though!

Thank you for showing, even when it’s a simple set up it’s a lot easier after seeing step by step how to do it…

So, there's two open sides on the switch for water and insects to get in. Reversed screws. Battery clips for lighting connections and a switch on the battery cover top. Nope.
